Rob and his guys built a 1970 Nova restomod and completed a 1969 Mach I for me plus repairs to many cars that arrived on a hook. Always fair, and they will stay with a problem until it is right. From the moment I first talked with them on the phone, I was impressed with Scott's Automotive. I was stressed about some damage to my car-and they were top notch in handling both me-and my Malibu. My insurance set me up with Scott's and they were expecting me when I called. When I dropped her off, they were polite, professional and kind, telling me: "don't worry, we'll make her look as good as new"... and they sure did! I couldn't be happier with the repair work done to my car... she's better than ever. And... they vacuumed and spritzed the front seat. She smells fantastic! The staff was so easy to work with. They're clearly used to dealing with insurance claims-and were so efficient, handling mine. They kept in contact with me and made me feel so at ease. I feel like their estimate was fair and thorough. I believe they do more than body work-and based on this super positive experience, I'd trust them to do other repairs as well. They're right off State Road 60 in Brandon-near Babe's Pizza. I have currently worked 10 years in the Automotive Claims business. Scott's is (old school) but efficient and good. Scott's staff is empathic, honorable, and efficient to your automotive repairs. They provided an estimated price on a business card (advised by staff; estimate had been written on business card because parts did not need to be ordered). Informed repairs would take 3-4 days. Scott's Automotive repaired my 2019 Mustang driver side back quarter panel, gas tank cover and bumper in 3 days! Amazing! the vehicle repairs are "as new", they honored the estimate on the business card. I would suggest Scott's Auto to my customers or friends. Thank you. This company is the worst! The front end damage to my car was shoddily repaired at best. The front bumper they repaired fell off one day later and they tried to say my daughter bottomed the car out. Total scam and we are hiring an attorney! Our insurance company has been advised and I hope the font promote this scam of a shop as a preferred vendor ever again! read more

Normally I do more research bringing my car in for paint and body work however I didn't have the time and they could get my RX 400H Lexus into their shop. I found the shop to be clean and organized with a beautiful large saltwater tank in th. Lobby. The car was returned when promised nicely washed and paint matched well. Fabulous people. First, if you are doing it outside of insurance they will work with you. In my case other shops insisted on replacing the entire bumper assembly whereas Scott's simply & cheaply reattached the separated portion of the bumber from the chassis. Second, Rob said bring it in the next day at 8 am & it will be ready at noon. I did & it was ready at noon. Then I told Rob I wanted to leave a tip for the worker that did some extra clean-up work & he said not necessary, that his workers are all very well paid. Could not recommend any higher. read more

I never write reviews, but my experience with Scott's Automotive Repair had to be shared. I had an air conditioning issue with my 2013 Malibu and I knew it wasn't an easy fix. My air was blowing super warm. I did take it somewhere else prior to bringing it to Scott's and they were not able to fix the issue. Scott's has been in business in Brandon Fl. for 32 years! That says something, you don't stay in business that long and not know what you're doing. My first visit there I explained my issue and how I did take it somewhere else. The first thing they told me was, let's put it on the gauges and check it for free and see what's going on. Great! They showed me instantly the compressor had an issue and also the drier. It was a very fair price. I drove out with super cold air condition that felt awesome! I was so happy! Plus they included a new cabin a/c filter at no charge. A dealer would NEVER do that. To summarize, Scott's did a major repair and a fantastic job. So I'm sure if you have a need for anything for your car, big or small, you can trust these guys to do it right. I was recently referred to Scott's Automotive by a friend at work. I talked to Rob about fixing a dent in my truck. He looked at my truck and wrote his price to fix it on the back of his card, very reasonable. I was quoted considerably more at another shop. He had me in and out in a matter of a few days. My truck was perfect and the price did not change. Now I have my other car there to fix a small problem with a door. If you want good, fast service and low prices give these guys a shot. Can't say enough good things about the service I received today from Scott's Automotive; wanted to replace a cloudy headlight assembly and ordered the part online only to realize that the job to replace it was beyond my basic skills...called Scott's on Tuesday, they had me scheduled for Thursday morning, and the work was done by 1pm! Even with the cost of their labor and my supplied part I saved at least $200 on what the dealership would have charged me for the exact same thing; additionally they recently did repairs on my mother-in-law's vehicle that had been rear-ended and met all the insurance company specs on that job...fair prices and great service in my experience! read more

This is a great paint and body shop! They repaired my 2009 Honda Pilot's left rear quarter panel and repainted it a few years ago under insurance as a Honda authorized facility. You could not see the difference between it and the rest of the pilot. It then came time to paint most of the pilot due to the tremendous paint fade from the harsh Florida sun! I didn't hesitate to take it back to Scott's (July 2018). They did a fantastic job blending the two front quarter panels, the entire hood, roof, roof/hatch transition panel and two left doors. They also redid the pin striping on both sides. The whole thing looks AMAZING! We bought it used a few years ago but it looks like what I would imagine driving it off the dealership floor as a brand new car! I highly recommend Scott's Automotive! read more

While the place wasn't terrible I wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone! I was in an accident and came across Scott's bc they are a certified specialist with State Farm so I wouldn't have to cover my costs out of pocket and wait to be reimbursed. For starters, their hours are 8:30-6:00 and they aren't open on the weekends, I saw a sign AFTER my car was completed that they are open in Saturday by appointment only but this was never offered as an option after having a hard time picking up my car. Second, I had my car towed there and left for vacation, all the paperwork was completed through my insurance company but I never received a call from Scott's stating that they received my car or that they had started to work...so I called. The response I got was something along the lines of: Him-Oh yea, I was wondering who's car that was. You know, you really gotta call these things in bc sometimes the insurance companies don't do what they say they're going to do. Me-Oh, I was under the impression everything was fine bc my insurance company has worked with you in the past and they said you'd take care of everything after the tow. Him-Yea, but sometimes they don't send over the work order. Let's see if it's in...oh yea, they sent it in already. At this point my car had been sitting there for 3 days, why they didn't call me I don't know. Then (bc of all the other auto body shops I've been to) I expected a follow up call with cost or a estimated time of completion...something! No call after a week so I had to call in again, he told me it would be a few more days and that they were waiting on a part. Ok, fine. A few days pass and no call again :0/ You're beginning to get the idea right? So I finally get my car, drive it off the lot and my check engine light comes on. I couldn't (nor did I want to) take it back at that moment so I went on about my business. On my way to work the next day I find that my alignment is off as my wheel was shaking like crazy! Considering they did repair to the damage front drivers side (wheel/hood) I would have assumed they'd check for this...no? And my inside door handle popped off..wtf?? Take the car in for both issues, of course my check engine light if off by now, they did realign my wheels so that was good and checked the codes anyhow but nothing came up. Long story short, it was my battery which blew about a month later. I found it interesting that a Ford dealership was able to tell me what it was even though my check engine light wasn't on. And Scott's said it had nothing to do with the accident I had been in. Maybe that's true but I found it odd that it wasn't an issue until I drove my car off their lot. Do yourself a favor and don't bother with their excruciatingly poor customer service and go to Clarkes around the corner! read more

I totally recommend Scott's Automotive. My power steering assist went out on my VW Passat, a pretty expensive part. The owner was very thorough in walking me through my replacement and repair options and the costs. He went out of his way and found a used replacement part that worked better for my budget and had me back on the road the next day. They also squeezed me in for an oil change while they had my car saving me time. It's been a few months and my steering is right on! read more

Save Yourself the Frustration, he makes snap decisions on repairs without looking at all of the damages and has the audacity to admit to this yet still maintaining his initial preconceived decision. Find yourself a reputable repair shop one that will look at your car fully before making snap conclusions as to what is wrong with it. read more

While the repair work that they did was good, I would never return or recommend this business. Rob, the person who works the counter, has ZERO customer service skills. His tone and manner was curt and he NEVER smiled or made eye contact. He also answers the phone and every time I dealt with him there was no sense of urgency or any communication as to what to expect with the repair. He was always extremely vague. When I first called he told me to drop it off and it would be "awhile before they got to it". I still took it there since my insurance had recommended it. When I got there, Rob just took the key and walked away. He never told me when it would be ready or what to expect. I called him back and he half turned to me like he couldn't be bothered to continue to help me. I asked how long he thought it would take for the repairs and he said "longer than normal....." ???? How am I supposed to know what "normal" is? I said " what does that mean....2 days or 2 weeks?" and he replied "neither, somewhere in between" and started to walk away again. I called him back and said him I didn't have a back up car and could give me a better idea of timing. He finally said 3 or 4 days. It felt like he could care less if I had a car or how inconvenienced I was going to be. Whenever I asked him questions he was so vague. He should be working on the cars, not dealing with people. When it was ready for pick up, it was a Friday at 4 and they were open until 6. It says that they are open on Saturdays so I said I would pick it up then but he said that they no longer opened on Saturdays because he "didn't want to waste his day with a few oil changes", Ok. Fine. Then don't advertise that you are open Saturdays. When I got there, I waited another 2 hours.....almost until the time they were closed. I asked him several times when it would be ready and his response was "when they pull it up". SO FRUSTRATING! read more
