I contacted Alex at Certified Transmission and was quoted a very fair price for a rebuilt transmission with install. Alex took the time to explain the issue we had, and why in our situation a rebuild was actually better than a new one that would have same parts that failed this time. He explained the timeline of repair, and was spot on. He even called when he received the transmission to let us know and that they were starting install. Just a first class run shop. Don't let the location fool you, this place was awesome and even gives 3yr/100k mile warranty. Nobody touches that on rebuilt transmissions! They also do other repairs here so go check them out.

Scott Bennett did…read morea thorough job going through my car and made several recommendations, including two new tires, replacing the windshield wiper device, and a couple of other things; I did NOT need a tune-up! All of the services suggested would have been over $900, which I was unable to do at the time. So Scott explained the most important things to get fixed, which he did do, and also suggested I shop around for the tires since I needed to go with the most affordable available. Aside from the fact that Scott's work is excellent, I am most impressed with his honesty and integrity! At no time did he try to sell me anything that I didn't need, or pressure me into getting work done that could wait. He could easily have told me I needed an expensive tune-up, and I would have believed him. But he did not. Auto mechanics are a dime a dozen, and we all know one or two of them. Many of them will take blatant and unscrupulous advantage of their customers' lack of knowledge. However, fair, decent and ethical mechanics are not easily found. I cannot recommend Bennett's Auto Care highly enough! Based on my experience, I can assure you that your service will be done excellently, and with integrity and honesty.

Great. 10 days later blowing hot again, went back and they said they forgot to put the cap on it and the refrigerant leaked out again. Topped off, no charge. 10 days later blowing hot again. Dropped it off on Sunday so it would be there for Monday. This time they miraculously found an evaporator leak on Monday. Got what we thought was a fair price and told them to fix it. Was told it would be ready Tuesday. After no update on Tuesday, called and told Wednesday. Again called after no update Wednesday called and told Thursday. Called again Thursday and told will be ready by 10am Friday. Called at 10:30 and was told would be ready at 12-12:30. Arrived at 12:30 and was not ready. Was told the tech went to lunch and would need another 1-1 1/2 hours. Told at 2:12 that it would be ready in 25 mins. Arrived at 2:40 and told would be a few mins. An hour later they told me it was done and would be pulled around. Another 20 minutes later they said they cant get cold air to blow on the drivers side but bring it back tomorrow and they will fix in 1 1/2 hours. Finally got the truck back and it is storming at this point, the dash is chipped. Looks like they pried it off with a screw driver. Another crack and then completely broken in another place. The rubber mat that goes in the dash above the radio is missing and so is the trim in the kick panel. Wires hanging out and the rubber floor liner ripped. Was told they assigned the wrong tech to it. Excuse was he was old, kinda chubby and has diabetes so it was hard for him. Poor excuses. Needs resolution IMMEDIATELY.
