For starters, the customer service is consistently top of the line. If for some reason they miss your call, they call you back promptly even if you didn't leave a voice message. I've found most mechanics to be terrible at answering their phone at all. The ones that do answer are very short with you and seem inconvenienced if asked more than 2-3 basic questions. In comparison, these guys are friendly, enthusiastic, and actually helpful! They work with your schedule as best as they can and even recommend the best local businesses for work they don't perform i.e. auto body shop. Don't just take my word for it; do yourself a favor and call them; even just to get info regarding your specific need. From the initial phone call, you'll see what I'm talking about. Even more importantly, Bennett's Auto Shop is honest and operates with integrity. My very first experience with them was when my car started making an alarming rattling sound while driving on the highway. I was sure it would be a minimum of several hundred dollars in repair. Bennet made a way to fit me in the schedule toward the end of the day, took the time to jack the car up, and saw that a simple loose screw was causing all the racket. He was completely transparent, and even showed my husband what he had found. How many of you know that the majority of places nowadays would have slapped you with a large bill and you wouldn't even be informed of the simplicity of the repair. With that being said, we weren't even charged for the service. If you're looking for a place that you can trust, you've found it! This place holds themselves to a higher standard and they conduct business with a spirit of excellence. I highly recommend Bennett's Auto and I'll be referring anyone who is in need of a mechanic, as It's truly one of a kind!

After being recommended to V W Moters, I had my car towed to this company because it wouldn't start. The owner quickly troubleshooted and fixed my car within the same day. I required 2 new batteries and when I picked it up later that day, it started back up with no issues. The prices were also fair and reasonable compared to what a Mercedes dealership would have charged me. Fast forward a few weeks and I noticed my brakes were going bad and called last minute on a Friday for an estimate. Although closing within the hour he asked me to bring the car by for an accurate estimate. Turns out my brakes were so bad that they were metal on metal and he didn't feel comfortable with me driving off with my car in this condition. Since I have no other form of transportation I was offered a vehicle to drive if he could not get the parts in and car fixed by the following day when they close at noon so that I could get to work on Monday. Very grateful for this kind gesture but I declined since I live close by. My car was ready by 10 am the next day and again, the price was fair and much cheaper than the dealership. I highly recommend this family owned business. Everyone there is super nice and professional. The prices are fair. The work is reliable. I will continue to bring my vehicle here in the future for any car related issues as well as referring my friends who are looking for a trustworthy mechanic.

I brought my SUV to Sammy's, at 815 Hillsborough Ave in Tampa, for a small repair of a hose. Two…read moredays later, it breaks. I'm stranded in traffic. I take it back to them and 3 more things need to be fixed. They kept my car for 3 weeks. The day after I got it back, there were more complications than the original problem. I've taken my car back about 10x now. Each time they say they can't find the issue or can't hear the massive noises it makes. I drove with them and, like magic, the noises appeared. I brought my car to them Friday, They were supposed to call me at 2 or 3pm. No calls and when I try to contact them, they NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE! Today I went to their shop with a male neighbor of mine. The owners brother raised his voice at me in an attempt to intimidate me and was using profanity to deflect from their horrible work. He even stated how his brother commented that I just want to come and complain. I don't know anyone who decides to wadte the time in their lives to sit for hours in a filthy auto shop, just to complain. He also LIED about the parts they were supposed to replace. They should have fixed a head gasket, radiator hoses, and the timing chain. Sammy's brother, Jose, said they replaced my raidiator. WHAT FOR, WHY?!!! Long story longer, my car is still not fixed, I'm out $1,600, I have no money left to fix my car. The engine is about to die. I'm now about to take them to court. NEVER TAKE YOUR CAR TO SAMMY'S...EVER!!!

But there were two things that I didn't like about doing business with them i.e. their sales department Number one, they delivered the car to my house without bringing the owners manual. And number two, they delivered the car without bringing an extra ignition key. There was one other problem but it wasn't their fault. The free Carfax report that they gave me when I bought the car did not show that the car had been in an accident about eight months earlier. The report said that no accidents or damage had been reported to Carfax. Little did I know at the time that the accident hadn't yet actually been reported to Carfax until after I bought the car. Lesson learned, accidents don't always get reported to Carfax in a timely manner. For that reason the next time I buy a car I will take it to a good auto body shop and have them tell me if it looks like the car has been in an accident.
