They don't remove cuticles, or do a massage on hands or legs?!?! a 3 year old can do a better job. After going back to have this corrected and wasting my time and money the gel lasted a week and 3 days. The pedicure we came back for still wasn't done correctly. I went to the Canton location for the first time a few weeks ago and the stylist, Kennedy did a horrible job on my hair. My hair is long and I asked for a strait cut with a long layer in the back and face framing layers in the front. Now, the overall length of my hair in uneven (it's longer in the front and shorter in the back), and she REFUSED to do any layers in the front! When she went to blowdry my hair I pointed out that she hadn't finished the cut yet because she hadn't layered the front. And she literally told me that face framing layers wouldn't look good on me! It's my hair, and as a paying customer, I should get the haircut I asked for. So it was a waste of time and money, and I have a horrible haircut. Plus, I left there feeling angry because the stylist basically implied my face was too ugly to have my hair layered around it. I was so disappointed and will never go back there. read more

I got my nails done there for a wedding. Had a photo of what I wanted, $98 and two hours later I just wanted to be done and out of there. My nails look absolutely nothing like the picture, barring the fact that the color is similar. I spent far more time then I would have liked to trying to explain what I didn't want done based on her suggestions. I'm literally going to try and go someplace else tomorrow to get them redone tomorrow. It's not even worth it to me to try and get money back or them fixed there. I would just rather repay somebody else to do them and consider it an expensive lesson learned. read more

I have been going here for a while now and I see Krista , she is a sweetheart,she is soo awesome ,she knows her stuff , even the other girls ask her advice! I started off a med brown and now I am a blonde ( I did this because of the amount of gray) and Krista does such a great job everyone thinks it's my natural color ! It's also very healthy, not like some of those dye jobs where your hair looks fried. Sure you pay a little more than going to one of those low end salons , but it's well worth the price! I went to Scott Talbot Salonspa for two reasons. One, it came highly recommended by a friend; and two, because I found a Groupon to try out their services. I am new to the area so I hadn't really found a stylist in this area yet and have been doing home services until I was comfortable in settling in a new place. I made an appointment on my lunch hour on a Friday because I had a busy weekend and needed to look my best. The appointment started out fine but as soon as the stylist found out I had a Groupon she began to try to upsell me on services. I asked her politely to just do the services that came in the package and she fussed around and said in "her professional opinion" it would not look good. The only option was to spend an additional $48-80 on top of the $34 I had already paid (plus tip). Again, I asked her just to do the services, and I agreed to forgo the highlights, just cut and style my hair - and then she said that "we had a bad experience" and wouldn't do the services at all! At this point 40 minutes had passed and nothing had been done yet. The owner came over after another 10 minutes or so - and talked to me. When I told him I just wanted the services that I paid for - he said "well, I guess we are a salon that doesn't fit into everyone's budget." I had never been so humiliated and embarrassed in my life! He walked away again and other stylists would walk by me - looking at me and giving me that "sad smile" and I was convinced that I became the laughing stock of the salon. He offered to reschedule my appointment, but in no way was it going to be possible to get my hair done for the weekend - when it was so important to me. Even then, he never said whether I would be able to get the services I paid for - or if I would have to endure another situation like this. This passive-aggressive approach - like "well, you'll get your cut but when I say you'll get it - not when you actually need it". He offered to do it "next Monday or Wednesday" or on Sunday - when I told them that Friday and Saturday were very important to me. I almost started crying it was so embarrassing - I walked out of there with everyone staring - even though I made sure to remain calm and not call more attention to the situation. If they do not want to honor a Groupon then they should offer them. Period. I do not recommend this place AT ALL, unless of course, you happen to be one of the chosen few that they deem worthy enough to bother doing their job! How nice must it be to just claim that you choose not to perform your job. I wish I could get away with that where I work. The interesting thing is -- if I had liked this place, I wouldn't have one issue with paying a fair price for great service. I made decent money - and even though I'm not reckless with my income, I would pay for great service. I just like to try the Groupon deals when finding a new place. This is NOT the place. read more

I have been to this location twice and I will definitely not be back! The first time I called, I was looking for massage. On the phone with whoever answered, I SPECIFICALLY said I wanted a licensed massage therapist and not a relaxation massage from a cosmetologist or esthetician. Instead of listening to me, she interrupted me at the word 'esthetician' and said 'all our people are licensed'. I took this to mean LMTs so I went ahead and booked. When the person whom I thought would be a LMT came out, she was wearing a Bioelements apron and a pin that said 'I Do Makeup' which instantly concerned me but I ignored it, as I was desperate for a massage. Less than 5 minutes into the massage I KNEW she was an esthetician, because I am an esthetician myself, and I know how terrible we are at massages. (Personally I do a better one but it still isn't worth the same $$$ as a LMT). I thought to myself "maybe it will get better" but it didn't. I could here other technicians laughing and talking in the hallway, and the click clack of their shoes was deafening. Not only was I unrelaxed but the girl, Mari, uses WAY TOO MUCH lotion for massages. Hate to be oily? Well you are going to be dripping wet after this girl. And cold. I ended up stopping the massage about 20 minutes into it, and came up with an excuse about feeling ill, because Mari is actually very sweet and nice and as a person, it's not her fault that she has no knowledge of anatomy or musculature. When I complained to the front about why I was upset, the girl who was on the phone with me when I was booking listened intently to my story before she spoke up at all about the phone confusion and blamed the entire thing on me saying "well sounds like you need or wanted a deep tissue". This made me so angry, its like, 'Lady, I have been doing skin since 2008 and I have been getting massages monthly for even longer - I just haven't been able to find a place that doesn't abuse the esthetician/cosmetologist relaxation massage concept. I don't want a darn deep tissue massage, I just want a regular massage from a person who is licensed by the medical board of Ohio. Why is that so hard to grasp?' I asked her if she even knew the difference feeling wise of a relaxation massage from a LMT and an esthetician and she looked at me like I was speaking in tongues. She just circled back to the "sounds like you need a deeper pressure" assumption and said "we will notate your account so you only get put with so and so." Somehow I still ended up paying for 30 minutes of massage even though I only used 20, and I did tip Mari $20 because I didn't feel that what happened was her fault, I felt it was error of the girl who answered the phone, who I now believe is the manager. Mari had given me a coupon that said if I came back in 7 days for a facial that I could get $15 off a facial so I decided that out of a gesture of good will I would book for a facial in exactly a week. I picked a facial that on the menu said it was $80. On the menu it said nothing about $80 "and up", and I picked that one because it was supposed to be an hour long and not this 45 or 50 minute malarkey. I was late to my facial which was fine, I knew my service would be shortened and I was okay with that. My bad - no worries. At the beginning of the facial she asked my concerns and I said 'hydration' but for some reason we did a skin sensitive facial? The service itself was just okay. I mean it was just a facial, what can I say about it? My only issues were that she kept dripping cleanser in my right eye to the point where I had to stop several times and ask for a cotton 2X2 and clean it off because it was getting onto my actual eyeball and burning, I even blamed my own facial structure for this because I just wanted things to go smoothly. Also back to the neck massage, arm and foot massage - horrible, just horrible. Too much lotion. I was dripping in lotion, oversaturated and after that point I was just wet and cold for the rest of the service. At the end when I paid, the person ringing me out said "we are just trying to figure out a price for you." I thought she meant a lower price for some reason for a moment but they had $85 circled on my ticket. I mentioned I had a promo and she said "This promo is only for $15 off of a Relaxing Spa Facial and you had a Corrective Custom Facial booked, so I'll give you $10 off." I was like, 'okay'. Like I know what i had booked but my promo was at home. I offered to leave my cc info on file and run home to get it an bring it back but they said no. So for some reason my facial was $85 before promo, then plus 5ish for tax, minus 10, so I paid like $80 again. I am so confused on the promos and pricing here. I paid, I tipped $15 (I'm not a jerk). I would love to give these people a facial because clearly they have no idea what its supposed to be like and my promo at home says $15 off A facial not a specifically facial. Sara is the best!! I am bi-racial with very curly and often unruly hair. I've been to many salons all over Ohio, and have found precious few people who can make sense of my hair. On a recommendation, I went to Sara at Scott Talbot, initially for a Brazilian Blowout treatment (which turned out fantastic). I can not recommend anymore more highly. She has great attention to detail, an understanding of bi-racial hair, and a fun personality to boot. Very few stylists have been able to successfully style my hair straight (as I do not use a relaxer), it usually turns out puffy and frizzy. Sara was able to get it very straight, and also does a great job trimming my hair so that it looks nice whether I wear it straight or curly. Overall the folks at STS are very nice and helpful, and it's a spacious, clean, and inviting facility. read more

I went here at the beginning of April as a first (and last) time client. I scheduled an appt with their top stylist (Tara) since my birthday was coming up and I wanted my hair to look great. I asked for long layers with some definition around my face. I don't know how that could misinterpreted, but I walked out of the salon with a "Rachel." I didn't ask for a haircut that would transport me back to 1994, especially since it's 2014!! I had thick, wavy hair that was around my mid-back and after the cut, I had short to long choppy layers that flip out in every direction possible. It's the most awful cut I've ever had in my life. I cried for days and even had to put it up for my birthday because I couldn't stand anyone seeing it. It was nothing like what I asked for so I promptly called the manager (Brenda) to let her know my experience. Well, silly me, I thought she would want to know what clients thought about the salon. Wrong! I've been calling for EIGHT weeks, left her four messages and I have yet to hear from her. So unprofessional! I would tell anyone who is considering going here to think twice. It's not worth it. I paid so much to get the best service and instead, I have my hair up 24/7 because it's so embarrassingly outdated. After eight weeks, my hair is just now barely at the length I had asked her for so that tells you how much she had taken off. Plus, she texturized the living daylights out of my hair. I hate to say texturized because it was really more like she shredded it. It comes to fine point at each layer and looks so bad. I've had my hair texturized before since it's so thick, but it's never been like this. Just don't waste your time! read more

I found this place on yelp when I was in desperate need of a pedi on a Sunday. This seems to be a challenge in the canton aria, when I went in I saw that it was large and had a large amount of higher end retail so I had high hopes that the service would be ok. The girl at the front desk seemed a little lost and when I asked about services she lacked any informed info about what the spa side offered so I just asked about pedi prices, she went in to this ramble about staff levels and how it effected pricing , so unprofessional ! And uncomfortable given the service provider was standing there. Is this a school or a spa?? I decided to scrap the whole pedi and get a polish change ,in and out , right ?? Nope it took 45min and the polish selection was thick and gooey, I could have had my 6 yr old niece pant them and it would have looked the same. Why two stars? My boss had bought me a gift certificate to Scott Talbot Salon for Christmas so I decided to give them a try . After waiting 45 minutes for a scheduled appointment the girl finally took me back. We then consulted for what seemed like an eternity before she goes into the back to get my color. I could tell as we were talking that what I was asking was WAY beyond her capabilities. An hour later she had me sitting under some heat lamps and completely forgot about me, at this point my head was on fire and I got up and asked her if she forgot about me to which she just laughed, that was a yes. She finished my hair, it looked alright, I paid (an outrageous amount even with the gift card) went home to discover that she had burnt off a huge chunk of my hair . I called the salon and all they told me was come back in and let us look at it to make sure you didn't burn it with a straight iron. Really?!!!! I would not let these people do my dogs hair.
