Most recently, needed a pill splitter and knew they'd have a good one. Not only did the staffer select one based on the size and type of pill, he checked with the pharmacist because he thought the medication came in the smaller size (no need to split). It is. Might seem a small thing, but I'm disabled, so any extra steps to do things are hard. Also, the front counter clerk was dressed for Halloween and looked fabulous. So nice to come into the store sad about health problems, and encounter two people who are so dedicated, helpful, and authentic. The pharmacist ignored the facts, became aggressive in tone, and started to manipulate the situation, making me feel like I was in the wrong. To make matters worse, he attempted to downplay the situation by offering me a discount of $25, which seemed like a mere attempt to brush things under the rug. I suspect they initially charged my insurance company a significantly higher amount, likely $500 or more, and the pharmacist seemed more concerned about deflecting the issue than addressing it fairly. His unprofessional behavior, lack of empathy, and failure to communicate properly with me made me lose all trust in this pharmacy. This experience was not only disrespectful but also raised serious concerns about the lack of understanding of basic procedures, including HIPAA regulations. I strongly feel that this pharmacist's actions were inappropriate and unprofessional, and I would recommend avoiding Giant Eagle Pharmacy in the future. The treatment I received was unacceptable, and I will never trust them with my healthcare needs again. I also confirmed by phone the week prior that it would be ready. When I arrived, the technician, Stephanie, was kind, professional, and respectful. She looked at the app on my phone with me, acknowledged the issue, and genuinely tried to help. Unfortunately, when the supervising pharmacist became involved, the situation escalated. He refused to look at the information I was showing him, repeatedly talked over me, and even threw my phone back at me. He then threatened to call 911 if I didn't leave, instead of explaining or resolving why the system showed my prescription as ready but they could not locate it. For comparison, I was able to pick up another prescription during the same visit with no issue--both had been sent in by my doctor at the same time. While I appreciate Stephanie's professionalism, the pharmacist's behavior was unacceptable, unprofessional, and hostile. No patient calmly seeking clarification about their medication should be threatened with police involvement. This was a humiliating and distressing experience, and I will be escalating the matter to Marc's corporate and the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.

The staff there some of the rudest most inconsiderate people I've ever came into contact with. Not only do they have poor customer service, their people skills are absolutely terrible! I can't think of a word bad enough to describe these people without swearing. If not for Jolene this review would be -5 stars. They treat me sub-par due to the medication I am perscribed. Jolene always helps the best she can (over the phone or in person). She always has a smile on her face and even goes as far as to make small talk. What a wonderful lady. The cashier I can't remember her name she was also very helpful and got me signed up for the CVS extra care. I just want to say that I am very pleased with the service I received.
