The situation escalated quickly when he accused me of trying to obtain a prescription I wasn't entitled to, despite the fact that my primary doctor's office had originally confirmed what was needed. The pharmacist ignored the facts, became aggressive in tone, and started to manipulate the situation, making me feel like I was in the wrong. To make matters worse, he attempted to downplay the situation by offering me a discount of $25, which seemed like a mere attempt to brush things under the rug. I suspect they initially charged my insurance company a significantly higher amount, likely $500 or more, and the pharmacist seemed more concerned about deflecting the issue than addressing it fairly. His unprofessional behavior, lack of empathy, and failure to communicate properly with me made me lose all trust in this pharmacy. This experience was not only disrespectful but also raised serious concerns about the lack of understanding of basic procedures, including HIPAA regulations. I strongly feel that this pharmacist's actions were inappropriate and unprofessional, and I would recommend avoiding Giant Eagle Pharmacy in the future. The treatment I received was unacceptable, and I will never trust them with my healthcare needs again. Curbside pickup at this store is VERY rude. I called because my grand-daughter had placed an order for delivery, but her receipt stated "curbside pickup", which confused her. The person who took the call in curbside-pickup was extremely rude and hung up on me, causing me to call the Store manager and file a compliant. read more

My husband had a prescription for Paxlovid for treating COVID. He went to pick it up and they were very informative about the medicine and told him to wait in his car and they would bring it out to him. They also explained any side effects and what medicines he was already taken to make sure it wouldn't interfer with what he was already on. He was very impressed with the way they handled this script compared to Walgreens who never asked any questions or told us the side effects. Terrible produce handling in this location. Can't believe the condition items are in, mold, black edged damaged leaf lettuce, limp green beans, bruised apples. And now we are being forced to buy GE brand items, while other brands are marked up in price. The store brand products are not very good. Popular items are consistently out of stock. 2 of the "security" guards do nothing but talk on their cell phones or play games on their phones, paying no attention to what is going on around them. The meat cutting here is also bad. Pork chops are cut so unevenly it's difficult to cook them, and thick and thin are packaged together. Bone and fat is left on chicken breasts that should be boneless. The overall cleanliness of the store is poor. Instead of cleaning, they rearrange all of the products, making it difficult to find stuff. Something is very wrong at this location. read more

The 'best of the BEST' of the Giant Eagle locations in Stark County. This open and airy store has the largest in-store deli in the immediate area. The produce is NEVER questioned (in my opinion) and the vast variety is evident as you take a walk through the store. read more

Produce is ok. Meats are good. Overall a decent place to shop.

Bakery is great. The cakes are decorated so beautiful & best taste in town. Jolene in pharmacy is very kind. Food overall seems always fresh. Female manager very nice (don't know her name). However, the whole store is a little depressing compared to Washington Square. Not sure why. Also, no reason to have blocked off the parking near the door. They put up posts so it's not like it can used by fire truck. Seems to just be to make customers have to walk further to be controlling & looks ugly. read more

The one and only reason I give this pharmacy 5 stars is because of one woman. Her name is Jolene! I believe I spelled her name right. The staff there some of the rudest most inconsiderate people I've ever came into contact with. Not only do they have poor customer service, their people skills are absolutely terrible! I can't think of a word bad enough to describe these people without swearing. If not for Jolene this review would be -5 stars. They treat me sub-par due to the medication I am perscribed. Jolene always helps the best she can (over the phone or in person). She always has a smile on her face and even goes as far as to make small talk. What a wonderful lady. I think the rest of their team should take notes from her. Do they understand that without customers they wouldn't have a job? Wow! Thank you Jolene, most of your co-workers should literally be fired. They have no business being in contact with people. read more
