Sadly this very last Fishers on the planet (or at least in the greater Canton area) is going out of business. One by one, we saw them all fall until there was just one left standing. And in less than two weeks it will be gone too. I stopped in twice this week to get my fix of the ham salad and pineapple fluff and a few other deli items. Smiley face cookies were sold out (although they are going to try to have a batch out every day before they close). Grocery items were 30% off so I stocked up on some canned goods and such. When I lived near the North Canton store, I would often shop there, but hadn't made Fishers my go-to for awhile now, since I was not close to one anymore. Someone posted on facebook that it would be a great idea if they could resurrect their brand somehow, and open just a deli and sell all the things that their Super Fans love the most: chicken salad, spinach dip, pumpkin pudding, ham salad, potato salad, pineapple fluff, etc. I think that's a great idea. If not, then we will sadly say goodbye to a business that has been here since the 1930s. Syonara, old friend. It's been a wild ride. I wish all of the Fisher family and employees the best. read more

This store has less product than I have ever seen it have, especially in the meat section. I miss when they used to have multiple locations and their prices were cheaper. The deli and hot food area have shrunk and last time we went in the chicken salad was almost ten dollars a pound. I miss the days when their prices were competitive with other stores especially since we like to shop local. Unfortunately we have had to shop elsewhere due to the fact of prices being so high, product not be fresher etc. read more

Scam artists. Do not shop here. They sell products on their website for pickup like Van Winkle bourbon which they never had in stock. Staff in the liquor store confirmed. They take your credit card information in hopes you'll substitute for another product. Then tried to tell me that they called and texted me but my phone was no longer in service. All BS. read more

This used to be the premier local grocery store. Competition from Giant eagle and another premium regional store has forced them to cut staff. Reduced customer service in the store is hurting them badly. Twice in the last week I've tried to get a growler of beer. Twice its unattended. Store is mostly empty. Was told twice their server was on break. 2 different times? More likely they've cut staff. Sad to see them slip so badly. 7:20pm.... Closing in 40 min. Guess I'm SOL here. At 9:56 a.m. on a Saturday U called the only customer service phone number listed and got a message that I'd called outside of normal business hours but I could leave a message which would be returned during business hours (probably not until Tuesday as Monday's a holiday)--grocery stores not open on Saturday? Of course the individual stores are open, but one can't talk to a person on the phone. Also they've stopped making their own shrimp & seafood salad and replaced it with one that isn't good. I can see why the North Canton store closed as Fisher's just isn't customer friendly, and they don't seem to care. read more

This store is absolutely atrocious. They have minimal staffing, the management is nowhere NEAR helpful, and they are just, altogether, not a great place to shop. I have been watching their Deli cases fill up with water, watching unknown perspiration dripping onto all of their meats, cheeses, and displays. I have never, NEVER, seen a deli case that looks as foul as this one. Not to mention their meat/cheese slicers.. They look like they get cleaned MAYBE one time a day, not wiped off after each use (as it should be.) So that means you have chicken, turkey, ham, etc, blood in all of your cheeses. They aren't a company you would want to work for either. The main manager for the Fulton store, i believe his name is Jeff, he refuses to do anything to help! I have even heard of the workers telling him of the poor condition his deli cases are in, what does he do? nothing. Telling you to not give this company your money is far from an understatement. I wouldn't recommend their product to my worst enemy. read more

Fisher's is a great local, family-owned business. They are in every neighborhood ranging from the ghetto to the shi-shi-la-la, I dig that about them. I try to shop there often to support the local economy but on some items they're just too expensive. Unlike Bordners who often lack select Fishers more closely resembles the larger grocery store. This particular Fishers has a great salad bar, chinese food, coffee bar and an amazing selection of wines, cheeses and bakery items. I will often stop on Sunday for coffee and a donut on my way to church. I like that the marketplace entrance has two checkout lanes so you can get in and out fast. Overall a great store with lots of local merchants and a great selection. Just be ready to pay more for certain things. read more

I go out of my way to go here. The Thumans lunch meat is great. Their meats are close to a meat market quality. The produce is always diverse and fresh. The alcohol selection is huge. If you're into craft beer or hard cider the selection is better than most places in the area. The bakery items are much better quality than other grocery stores too. read more

Yikes! Yesterday my mother shopped at the Fishers Foods at 4:53 p.m. She purchased a 24-pk of beer and I was not at the counter when she was ready to check out. My mom told the cashier that the beer wasn't paid for (they have the option to pay in the liquor department) so the cashier told her to put it on the counter. Here is where the worst customer service imaginable came into play. My mom told her the box was too heavy to lift (my mother is 80 years old) and the cashier said, "you lifted into the cart, so you can lift it onto the counter." My mother doesn't like to argue with people and avoids confrontation at all costs but was really disappointed at what the cashier was saying to her. Alex Fisher was in the store and my mom said, "maybe we should talk to Alex Fisher and ask him what he thinks we should do" to which the cashier replied, "well, he's walking around somewhere." My mother then asked if there was someone who could help her carry the groceries out to the car to which the cashier replied, "you'll have to go up front if you want that service." The fact that it is 2 degrees Fahrenheit outside makes this even more traumatic for my mom and by now she was feeling that there was no one who was understanding her plight. Too bad the cashier couldn't have been more accommodating and called someone to help my mother to different cashier, or to carry her groceries out to the car. My mom was too confused to get the name of the cashier but hopefully the information on her receipt will help the store know who waited on her when my mom calls in to the Customer Service department on Monday morning. read more

I would NOT recommended this store!!!! I used there on-line delivery service yesterday. I have used Buehlers in the past with no problems. The only reason I used Fishers is because Buehlers was unavailable for the time frame I needed. There were a lot of items that were not available for my order, but I was charged by Fishers anyway for those unavailable items. I have contacted Fishers 3 times and they will not respond to my emails. They owe me a refund in the amount of $70. I will be contacting my credit card company to report them. I have an email receipt & the paper receipt from my transaction so I will be able to prove they are being fraudulent. I will never shop at fishers again.... I will be returning to Buehlers & Giant Eagle in the future!!!! read more

Worst experience of my life. I went shopping at this store yesterday morning. My daughter and I went in bought $40 worth of groceries and I spent $52 at the State store for the holidays. While we were in line Jeff Fisher walked up to the cashier and wispered in his ear. Walked away and the cashier asked my daughter who had taken the paper Fisher's bag that we had gotten from State store out to the car so she could help me carry the bags out, if she paid for her beer?!?!? Very rude and she and I will never shop at FISHERS again! read more

Staff is usually pretty friendly. The produce is always fresh. I did knock off a couple stars because I've seen too many times where the prepared food workers don't wear gloves. One time a lady used her bare finger to push a piece of pasta into my container of green goddess salad. That's just nasty. read more

The store location is good and would be great if they were a good place to shop. The biggest issue is that some items are priced at market and a lot of items are 30-40% higher then local competitors. They also don't carry a lot of local dairy items opting for a lower quality with a "Come on in price" just to get you in the store. It's reasonably clean but not neat. The aisle's are narrow and the lay out in total needs some professional help. They also have a rewards card however it never works and they can't look it up at the register. They try but never succeed. We just recently moved back to our summer home and I was surprised how much this store changed on the price side. I will opt to drive a couple more miles and get better quality and selection. A full service grocery store should have a meat counter, they just have a lunch meat counter, not the same. read more

I have been a loyal customer of Fisher's Foods for years I am very disappointment in the Fisher's Corporate decision to not allow a Senior Citizen, with auto-immune disease to not being able to it utilize my SNAP food card, to pick up my groceries, because of the COVID-19 epidemic. I must go into the store and shop. I feel that the Fisher Corporate Office shows a total disregard and lack if sensitivity. for individuals who have to resort to SNAP, because of unfortunate financial situations. The other grocery stores, such as Acme will honor our SNAP cards in pick ups and deliveries. I will NEVER shop at Fisher's any longer, or will refer any of my friends there in the future. I don't appreciate being discriminated against and being treated like "a second class citizen" because of my age & health has made me resort to the SNAP Program. Your employee, Stacey, wasn't helpful, at all. You only cater to the wealthy citizens of North Canton. You're SNOBS!!! read more

This is the closest grocery store to my house and I try to avoid it at all costs. I have no issues with the products. Its the employees that really deter me from this store. This is one of the best grocery stores in the area. They have good prices on meats, and the selections are decent. But what puts this place over the top is the beer and wine selection as well as the liquor store located inside. They also offer beer on draft that you can purchase in growler form. They change regularly and have amazing beers. They have pretty good Chinese food in the market place - try the Korean chicken if you like spicy foods. Let me also say not all fishers foods have all of these to offer, most of what makes this one great is specific to this location. read more

I worked for Fishers many years ago as a part time job in college. Close to 40 years ago. Then, they were the only game in town and Saturdays they would be jammed. Forward to today. They sometimes only have one cashier. Prices on Deli items are no bargain. Giant Eagle, ACME and Buehler's are killing that chain. Sadly, their reign in Canton is coming to an end. read more

Fisher's is a nice grocery store to stop in when I need a few items and don't want to go to Giant Eagle. It's not as big as the Eagle, but they do have an excellent wine selection and a state liquor store. It's locally owned as well, which is certainly a bonus. read more

I called Fisher's on Fulton drive to prepare a basket for my parents who live nearby. The woman who I spoke with was so helpful. We talked for a bit and she got a real sense of what I was looking for. (Normally I would be home for Christmas but recently had surgery and couldn't make the trip.) My parents called me and sent me pictures once the basket arrived. Dad said it was the best gift basket they ever received. She did an amazing job. She clearly spent as much time as I would have myself picking out just the perfect items for my parents. A nice mix of snack foods, cheeses, crackers, candy, fruit, wine and even some deli items from their amazing Deli! Fruit was perfect and ripe and everything else was top quality and truly desireable. Highly recommend this store, always shop there when I'm home. So much more personal than the big chain stores. You really feel like you're dealing with neighbors. read more

The Fulton Rd bakery was so helpful with designing and creating just the right wedding cake for my daughter. Different flavors of cake on each layer, and each and every one was absolutely delicious! Beautiful custom design on the outside too. And a tasty croissant tray from the deli for the wedding party for between their hair appointments and the wedding service. Perfect! read more

We used their bakery for our Wedding cup cakes this past Sunday & Jen not only made amazing cup cakes but got the colors perfectly matched to the swatches we gave her.Our guests couldn't stop talking about how pretty they were and then how moist and delicious they were. We also used their deli to make us mini croissant sandwiches & a huge veggie platter and they were delicious as well. We are very thankful to them for such quality ingredients and that they delivered everything on time and they were very nice and very professional .Thank you for helping make our Wedding that much more special because everyone enjoyed the foods and desserts. I used to love this location for going in and grabbing a few quick things on the way home from work. Now if you park at the side door and expect to get in and out quickly, you can forget it. Fishers decided to put in a beer and wine bar in the middle of the store. Try getting around the people with a cart when you want to get to the dairy aisle or even to the deli from the main part of the store. People are sitting at the bar and standing two and three deep. If I want something from the bakery, prepared foods, or a bottle of wine, I'll stop, but forget shopping the rest of the store. The bar needs a separate entrance and a separate parking lot, because the latter now too, has become a hassle with large trucks that I never used to see there too often before the bar was put in. Because they are so long, they make what was already a narrow passage between cars on both sides even narrower. Two cars often cannot pass at the same time anymore. read more

Fishers is the #1 grocery store in this area...They have the freshest deli, delicious bakery, best cuts of meat, and I love the idea of patronizing locally owned businesses. I, also, like they don't try to be a "one-stop shop", but stay focused on what they are good at....grocery business! read more
