Part of the wedding preparation is the hair and makeup. My best friend chose this salon as her wedding day beauty place. She made an excellent choice. GSV's a full service Aveda salon. They do everything from nails to facials to up-do's, etc. GSV's stylists are fun, sweet, great, and professional. The bride's stylist Abby did a wonderful job on her bridal up-do. My best friend looked gorgeous and stunning in a wispy bun with a headband. Both of our makeup was done by Pam. She's amazing. Hands down, an awesome makeup artist. She utilized all of the Aveda products to create different and dramatic looks for us. For my friend, she had a light, youthful glowing look to match her bridal wear. My makeup seemed more dramatic and highlighted my skin tone. Thanks to Pam, I wore a sexy Saffron shade of lipstick which I got great raves on by everybody. Pam also did my up-do. I'm a simple up-do kind of girl. I like a simple, elegant french twist. Pam gave me great hair to go with the makeup. I love GSV, hands down best salon in Canton. Stylist are always friendly, and very professional. The salon updated there look and it's very modern looking inside. I had Sara do a color correction on me and it turned out fabulous, very little orange was in my hair. The salon uses only Aveda products, very top quality and my hair is always looking amazing. When I walk out of the salon I always get compliments and everyone asks me where I get my hair done. read more

Was not very impressed. They had recently raised prices and I had to pay 92 dollars for a root touch up. They overdid the roots and had to do a toner to fix it (charged me). The also charged me 20 for a wash and style, but just blow dried it with no product (or style). read more

I drive an hour and a half to see Shana. I have been to many Aveda salons and she truly is THE BEST! Her highlights/lowlights are absolutely beautiful and she give the BEST cuts! Narrissa is simply fantastic at what she does! She has such a clear vision and is able to execute an updated look to suit who you are. Narrissa cut off about 13 inches of my hair and was able to create this spunky, young, adorable look for me that I am still getting compliments on almost a month later! So if you want a cut that will be "you" and that will get you constant compliments, definitely go to Narrissa. read more

Very impressed. There were 9 of us who had our hair and makeup done for my daughters wedding. Every one of us were happy with our services and the staff treated us all like princesses. My daughter and I purchased the wedding package and had a practice hair and makeup appointment. Unfortunately my daughters hairdresser left the salon days before her wedding but they made time for us to come in for another practice appt and made sure that we were completely satisfied. I was really excited to have my hair cut at this salon after looking over their website, I chose a "master" stylist and paid $51.50 for a haircut and style! Staff was very friendly, salon is in a great location but the stylist needs to go back to school! I am 57 years old and this is the worse haircut I have ever had! One side was 1.5" longer than the other side, my entire family commented on it! I contacted salon manager and told them I would like to have my hair fixed but I did not want the same stylist. I did not want a confrontation or to hurt anyone's feelings so I asked if I could come in to have my hair re-cut on the stylists day off, the management agreed to do this! When I arrived for the hair cut I was completely uncomfortable. The stylist was there, she looked like she had been sucking on lemons and was very upset! At first they told me the stylist that originally did my hair would be fixing it but I refused! Salon owner came over and ran her hands through my hair and said it was a great cut and she had full confidence in her stylist! She did say she could "tweak" the longer side or I could tuck it behind my ear until the short side grew out! This was the most uncomfortable situation I've have ever been in and I couldn't wait to get out of there! The only thing you will get at this salon is LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! So unless you are looking for real estate, save your money and go somewhere else! read more
