This is long overdue. I've been going to Dr. Goodman for about 4 years. Two things that stand out…read moreabout his practice, he has many years of experience and seems to keep current on the latest treatments. He's conservative and thorough in his approach and listens well. He's great about finding solutions to problems and will suggest different options. Thanks to him I am feeling great! I recently went to another doctor in Roseville on the advice of a friend, and her approach was aggressive. Felt uncomfortable that she tried to sell a number of supplements which I didn't think were necessary. Dr. Goodman has a great reputation, as I've heard people travel a distance to see him. His staff is very nice and accommodating. They've been with him since I've been a patient, so there's great consistency with patient care. His office is basic, not fancy or modern, just comfortably meets the need. Today I saw him and there were cookies and tea in the waiting area! Overall, 5-star service with great confidence in his care.

I paid $500 for a consultation with Dr. Michael Goodman regarding a complex vulvar revision case,…read moreand I would not recommend him for this type of problem. During the consult, he dismissed issues that had already been evaluated by top-level specialists at major academic centers. He also made several categorical statements about possible causes and mechanisms in my case that conflicted with what I had been told by other highly qualified experts, as well as with peer-reviewed medical literature. He did not give me confidence that he is current on reconstructive options relevant to complex revision cases. Some of the advice I received also did not feel medically appropriate for a serious reconstructive consultation. My impression was that his reputation may be based more on older credentials than current expertise in this niche. This review reflects my personal experience in a paid consultation.

Dr.Alicia Silva, M.D. (surgeon at Sutter Davis), My daughter…read moresaw doctor Silva as a consult in September of 2014. She was sent over there from Pediatrics as a consult at around 9:30 AM. The pediatrician wanted her to be seen to make sure she had appendicitis. When she went to see Dr. Silva she (so sick and in a wheel chair) had to wait an hour in the waiting room, after I demanded she be seen, we finally ended up in an exam room to wait again for 25 minutes. Dr.Silva kept seeing her regular non emergent patients before my daughter. She finally came into the exam room thought she was indeed needing surgery but needed to double check that they didn't do the surgery there. ( how do you not know that you are only an adult surgeon??) So we were sent to get labs.. We waited for the labs another hour and then back in her waiting room for about 30 more minutes. My daughter was in excruciating pain, and finally when the doctor came in she said she needed to go to Sutter Memorial to get surgery, and that the appendix will not burst in 24 hours so she wasn't worried. So instead of us just going straight to Sacramento, she wheelchairs my daughter to emergency ( 4 PM) where we did 2 more hours of tests and waiting.. My gripe is that she was absolutely wrong and my daughter did burst. The best surgeon around Dr. Greenholtz out of Sacramento did the appendectomy and said he had been waiting for her since 3 PM. We didn't get there until almost 7 PM. When he came out of surgery he said that she had burst and it probably happened in the late morning. I think Dr. Silva and her group really failed my daughter and the bummer part is they admitted this to me numerous times. My daughter incurred days of pain and suffering (not able to eat for four days) and in the hospital for a lengthy stay. I still have thousands of dollars in medical bills to pay for this horrendous day. I called billing and discussed this with them, I shouldn't have to pay a dime for their fault. They don't see anything wrong with these bills I need to pay. My daughter ended up staying in the hospital for 5 1/2 days, instead of an overnight stay for a regular appendectomy. Bottom line, she put my daughter in a very dangerous situation and didn't get her to the right place till 7 hours after she was initially seen. Not effective. Not right.

I am so lucky and grateful to have such an amazing doctor!! We left Riverbend medical in West sac,…read moreI was tired of seeing nurse practitioners, no offense, but whenever I was asked who my primary care doctor was, I had a name, but I had never once met him in the five years that I had been to his practice. Although farther out we decided to just choose another primary care doctor and had no reference to work with we just kind of pointed and picked on a list. How lucky were we to have made the most amazing decision not even knowing it. Doctor Din is so responsive, whether it is in an email message through the Health online app, without out question, anything I ask him, provides excellent guidance, I was a 22 year smoker, I asked for help to quit, after 1 month, I was able to quit without further refills on the medication, fast forward 5 years now and still a non-Smoker. Dr.Din truly listens and provides excellent healthcare and guidance.

Besides being an obviously skilled/well trained surgeon, he's also a caring doctor who put me and my family members at ease about the procedure. Everything went exactly as he said it would and even though I hope to not have the procedure again, I'd recommend him to anybody else in that situation. Added bonus - when I was waiting for my initial consultation, I had two staff members mention to me that he'd be their surgeon for an emergency appendectomy and gall bladder surgery. I figured if his coworkers trusted him enough to do their surgery (and to continue working with him after), that was a vote of confidence in his abilities.
