Typically, the service is excellent, but during my recent Sunday visit, it was not quite up to their usual standard. I understand it was a busy morning, but it felt less attentive than usual. Everything was seasoned right, not heavy and just down right hearty. Coffee is warm and right temp, and the complimentary monkey bread.. come on! They paired so well. Crab Benedict - eggs poach to perfection! Asparagus salted right. Everything covered in that nice unbroken hollandaise sauce. The only comment I have is maybe a slice of lemon for additional acid for the customer. I ordered their Triple D (all four). To grab a taste of what breakfast is all about. Biscuit and gravy, delicious.. homemade fluffy biscuit and that gravy, so savory... this dish can fill up a giant itself. Banana bread - so soft and moist. Not too sweat, and remind me of a sticky toffee pudding. Just right out great. Crispy cornhash - great cook in the cornhash, good season, great easy egg to combine them together.. mix mix mix, bite bite bite, all gone.. Lastly timi benedict - again, perfect eggs... great cook on the maple bacon, had enough pepper and sweat to bring a unique spin to a classic. Even though they were busy, they gave everybody the warm and fuzzy.. just comforting! Food came out fast and warm! If youre in town, definitely put this place as a spot. Highly recommend

He also does a damned good job at trying to remember peoples names which is appreciated highly. I hopped in around 2:45pm or just before they switched from their lunch to dinner menu. I ordered their Cod fish sandwich with house chips on the side, and the Cheddar Potato Leek soup. The Cod sandwich I recommend, unfortunately I've never had anything like it before so I cannot provide any detail in which it can be compared to anything else in town. The flavors are subtle and the gochujang aioli with pickled veggies really balance out the sandwich. The Cheddar Potato Leek soup is a hit, every bite as good as the first, and with the fall / cooler weather coming I'll be looking forward to ordering this often. If you're able to make it here around the 2:45 + timeframe it's pretty open for anyone to come in and get served immediately as it is just after the lunch rush. The inside is dimly lit, and You'll hear the staff hustle and bustle and the kitchen with the clinks and clanks of dishes and silverware. Music ranges with just about anything.

Salmon was great and had crispy skin, but the Yukon potato could be a bit crispier and the veloute was a bit thin, but otherwise really nice presentation. The caviar was a nice touch, but it was a bit strange on top of the Lays like chips. The duck is a bit well-done, when compared to traditional French style, but it was still pretty tender. The duck glace was pretty good and flavorful -- leans savory and sweet. The sweet potato puree was a good balance to the duck breast, creamy and a bit of zest. Bok choy was slightly over-charred but otherwise ok. The croquette was cool already when we got it so I didn't enjoy that quite as much. Broccolini wasn't my favorite. It was really woody. Maybe it was just my portion, but I should've gotten a different side. Portions were just right. Overall, not a bad place for a Friday night dinner or a little date night!

I was hesitant because they are a catering company and sometimes food from catering companies just tastes like it was made in mass quantities and flavorless. Everything had so much flavor and was cooked to absolute perfection. Even made kids ate a plateful and that's saying something! I walked from the lobby to the airport at 4:45a and it only took about 4min. Very convenient! As for the hotel, it was nice. Big and spacious with lots of amenities on site. It did feel a bit dated but not dirty or old. Probably needs some brighter lighting or new carpet maybe. Hard to pinpoint exactly but just didn't feel fresh. The gym was small but I was able to get in a decent workout.

DoubleTree by Hilton Wichita Airport - The Good, the Bad, and the Shower That Could Pressure-Wash a…read moreRhino I've stayed here several times in both the North and South Towers, so I feel qualified to offer a public service announcement. First, the positives. The lobby is beautiful, clean, and welcoming. The restaurant looks very nice... although after seeing the menu prices, my wallet politely declined the invitation. The rooms themselves are perfectly decent and clean. Now let's discuss the pillows. Whoever designed these fiberfill monstrosities clearly has a grudge against necks. They've been hugged into submission by thousands of guests before me and have evolved into random clumps of stuffing with absolutely no interest in supporting a human head. Sleeping on one is like cuddling a sack of marshmallows that lost the will to live. If you're booking a room, I'd recommend the North Tower if possible. The South Tower gets blasted by the afternoon sun, and those rooms definitely run warmer. The fitness center is... unique. It's surrounded by glass. If you've always dreamed of doing cardio while strangers judge your treadmill form like you're in a zoo exhibit, congratulations--this is your place. If you prefer exercising without an audience, maybe just go for a walk outside. The indoor pool exists. That's about the nicest thing I can say. It's tiny. More "oversized bathtub" than "resort oasis." Each room has a refrigerator, which is great. But if you brought leftovers or meal prep that needs heating, prepare for a pilgrimage. There is exactly ONE microwave for the entire hotel, conveniently located near the front desk. You'll march from whichever tower you're staying in, microwave your food, and then stand there while the security camera politely reminds you every few seconds with a cheerful DING! DING! DING! that yes, it absolutely knows you're standing there waiting for your Hot Pocket. Now... let's talk about the real MVP of this hotel. The shower. I honestly don't remember the North Tower having the same setup, but the South Tower had a removable handheld showerhead with multiple spray settings, enough hot water to melt glaciers, and water pressure strong enough to strip paint. For the first time in my life, I was convinced I had actually rinsed every molecule of shampoo and conditioner out of my hair. Ladies... one word of caution. After washing your more delicate regions, resist the temptation to switch that showerhead to "Power Wash." Trust me. Some things were never meant to experience that much hydraulic force. Unfortunately, the shower wasn't perfect. Even with the drain fully open, the tub steadily filled with water. By the end of my shower I was standing in what felt like a small freshwater lake creeping toward my knees. The bathroom also had an odd issue. I had to keep the bathroom door closed because there was a constant sound of running water coming from the vent above the toilet. Whether it was plumbing from another room or something else, it sounded like someone upstairs had been taking the world's longest shower. Overall, this DoubleTree has a nice lobby, decent rooms, friendly amenities, and one absolutely legendary shower. Fix the pillows, add a few microwaves, unclog the tub drains, and maybe give us gym-goers a little privacy, and this place would be an easy recommendation. I've decided I'm taking away stairs because the air-conditioning anymore because I'm laying down and sleeping and he wants to shut off and the TV did the same automatic deductions I only took away one star I should take away all the stars
