The location on 204th Street in Gretna is clean, open, inviting ... but noisy. It's one of those warehouse-type settings where you really have to work at having a private conversation. Seating is expecially comfortable in the big chairs, but then you have to schootch them close together and lean in so you can hear each other, which is unfortunate. Granted, tables are set far apart, but this should be in addition to. Coffee was delicious, but the beignet bites were just so-so. Granted, one should not expect New Orleans beignets outside of New Orleans, but these little donut puffs had only a light dusting of powdered sugar (which I actually was thankful for because I wore black pants!), and there was a not-overly-pleasant surprise inside with an indistinguishable creamy substance that was sort of like the inside of a brown sugar cinnamon poptart, only less so. I hadn't been expecting that. The yogurt parfait was substantial and delicious. (The staff was friendly and helpful when making selections, but it didn't occur to me to ask about fillings.) I might visit again, but maybe at one of the other locations, if acoustics were more promising.

I can't wait to check out the rest of the summer menu! The also have a variety of different homemade cold foam options as well that look out of this world!! They have an outdoor patio on the side and some seating inside as well! Can't wait to come back for more!!!

There are three flavors of smoothies to choose from: mango, wild berry, and strawberry. The Crescent Brûlée is a blend of caramel and vanilla, topped with whipped cream and a burnt sugar top. Both of the drinks we had tasted good. I'm not a big smoothie person--in fact, this is my first time ordering a smoothie in a long time--and I was very pleased with it. It was very smooth. I typically just opt for a black coffee because we don't often get a ton of time to get coffee before service starts, but they're bigger than the free cups and every once in a while it's a nice switch up. The bread pudding was SO GOOD. I would honestly make the drive just to have that again. They also offer a variety of toasts and pastries if you're looking for something to eat. One thing I always appreciate about coffee shops is when they feature products from other local vendors, and Stir had a nice selection of things like jewelry, mugs, and puzzles.
