Here's why I like all sorts of hashes and skillets as my preferred breakfast vehicle. As you know,…read moreI love eggs. I think a perfect egg is like the star of any breakfast and is definitely the headliner/closer of any perfect entree. But I also think good hash browns are the foundation any breakfast is built on. If the potatoes are off--too crunchy, sliced or shredded too big, bad seasoning, &c--the eggs often can't save it. That's why any dish built on the premise of potatoes on the bottom and eggs on top is the ideal dish for me. Paper Mill has a good skillet plate. The potatoes are chunky but not overly so. The sausage and ham are plentiful--definitely no skimping here. The veggies lend a good flavor but don't overstay their welcome. That sauce complements everything well. And my eggs were great. Once mixed it was perfect. I think the only complaint I have of the service was the coffee refills were a bit slow. I'm used to servers coming by and asking for a refill. This time we noticed I was a perfect four for four with having to ask for a refill. Combine that with their policy of not providing coffee to go and it was kind of disappointing. The coffee on the ride back to the hotel is a time-honored vacation tradition. The ambience was good. It was very welcoming. Even if we were sat at a high table, which is normally a deal breaker, this time wasn't so bad. I like the dim lighting. That's normally something you don't see in a breakfast/brunch food joint. I'd welcome more places to eat in the morning that aren't try to flood the space with natural lighting. All in all, this was a great place to get your first meal of the day. Just know you have to by hyper-vigilant of asking for coffee refills if you're an addict like me and you'll be fine.

She was really sweet and offered great recs to my husband. We both got the scrambler bowl, made our own ways. After looking at the waffle flavors, I had to get one of those as well. I was a little surprised when the scrambler "bowls" came out. They were more of omelettes on top of country potatoes with toast on the side. They were still great, but not what we were expecting (scrambled eggs with our ingredients mixed in). I opted for the cinnamon apple waffle which was absolutely incredible! It tasted like fall in my mouth. Mixed with the crisp weather outside, it made me wish we were in October already! I will say, if you do get a waffle and aren't a "sweets" person, go with a regular or something less extravagant. The apple topping was decadent, but it was incredibly rich. I was glad I had the country potatoes and my omelet to offset some of the sweetness. The restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained. It was very modernly decorated. The bathroom was fine, nothing special. The toilet seat of the stall I went into was not particularly clean, and the toilet itself was wobbly.

We dined early on a Saturday so it wasn't busy yet. Service was wonderful. Staff told us of their favorites and didn't steer us wrong. You must get the grits! They were delicious! I've been wanting to try this place for ages, but it always seemed packed. Well, today (Memorial…read moreDay) was no different. I tried to swing by around ten minutes to noon, but it was a disaster. There were heaps of people waiting outside, and it didn't look promising. I went to the hostess stand and asked the guy if I could get a table for one, and he said, "Oh, you can sit at the bar; it's open seating. There's one open seat right there!" So, I walked through and was approached by another worker who asked me what I was doing. I told her the guy said I could sit at the bar, and there was an open seat, even though I never saw one. I did see open seats outside at the bar, though. The bar has two sides, one outside and one inside. It seemed alright; it wasn't too hot or humid, so I went. There were dirty dishes all over the place, and I sat down. Another worker asked me, "Are these dishes yours?" Which seemed a bit strange because the guy works the bar and wouldn't he have known the person sitting there before me left them? Anyway, I said no, and he cleared them. I then waited about 5 minutes before another worker skillfully wiped the bar of debris and then got three menus and three sets of silverware (two more guys sat down next to me) and asked me if I wanted water. I said, "Yes, please." She went off, and then shortly after, I saw the same guy come with a menu and a set of silverware and a water. Thumbs up for the water but thumb down for the slowness. I saw the menu and was torn between pancakes and biscuits. I didn't really want anything heavy, so I got the biscuits and gravy but added an egg. I also got a coffee. The wait time for the food was super quick, and the food was really good. The biscuits are small, and they're okay. The egg was good, but it's kinda hard to mess up an egg. I saw the food the people sitting next to me got, and it looked amazing! Pancakes, etc. Overall, the service was pretty bad, but the food was good. I saw no sense of urgency in the workers when they were obviously swamped. I might come when it's not so busy next time. Side note, maybe I'm showing my age, but the price of regular drip coffee was a bit steep. ($4).

Wings were very good, best ive had in Mount Juliet so far, burnt ends were good, we asked for no jalapeños but still got them anyways, had to pick them off since we arent fans of anything spicy. Ribs were tender and cobb salad was a great option minus the guacamole, its obvious its not made fresh and most likely from a jar i expected freshly made guacamole at a restaurant but still decent to eat. Drinks were really good! My boyfriend got the old fashioned and i had wine then a cocktail. Service was subpar, waitress didn't give refills on water and very passive instead of proactive. Will definitely come back to try it out again.

Our waiter was fantastic the entire time, he was gracious and hardworking. My husband ordered the Southwest Scramble and I had the Farmer's Skillet.
