I tried the Nebraska sunrise tea and it legit tastes like a fruit roll up and the shake I got was a salted caramel and holy poop I'm blown away. If you love strong and sweet coffee, come here!! I discovered 1893 thanks to social media and word of mouth. I knew the coffee was great because after the first sip, I started drinking it like water. So good, smooth, and strong! 1893 has easily landed in my top 3 coffee spots in Lincoln. I can't comment too much on the ambiance because I used the drive through. They have a menu outside, but currently (February 2026) the speaker isn't working. Customers have to order at the window. However, it wasn't a big deal. My drink was ready in less than 5 minutes. Employees were very friendly and made my drink perfectly. I'd love to come back and enjoy the inside of their space. It looked cute, cozy and quaint inside. It might be the perfect place to work, relax and enjoy a good cup of joe. 10 out of 10 recommend 1893 coffee and cream!

I like the Green Goodness, my wife likes the Velvet Elvis... And the service is good, mostly young people, polite. Totally acceptable but nothing I'd call "extraordinary." The price kills me every time... Coffee is on par with what you'd expect going out for coffee. But the smoothies are exorbitantly - almost movie theatre popcorn levels - expensive. Turns my stomach a little every time we go... but we keep going, so I guess that's the market. Food options are what you'd expect, prepackaged, overpriced but no more than any other upscale coffee shop. In summary, Everything is good. It's just expensive.
