This little piece of heaven in Helen Ga is getting quite a reputation around town as being THE BEST coffee place in the county. After a few times of referring our personal guests to DGC, strictly based on their reputation, I decided to go. I mean, I thought there was nothing for non coffee lovers however, was I ever wrong! I love their sweet tea and I have recently been ordering their energy drinks. Their paninis and bagels and their avocado toast are delectable. Don't get me started on their pastries! Our 11 year old nephew stated their hot chocolate was the best he's ever had. They have so many items to eat and drink, whether you're a coffee drinker or not. I now tell locals all about them. I was at our bank in Heien after just eating at DGC and I asked our banker if she had ever eaten there and she stated "no, however all of my coworkers have and I'm not sure why I haven't". The cafe looks like a little house on the corner, but the inside has been beautifully updated into a large open area with natural lighting gleaming through the windows. The focal point is a long beautiful counter. It reminded me of counters you would have seen in grocery stores, pharmacies, or 5 and dime stores in the early 20th century. The other things to catch my eye were bthe table game set up, merchandise from local vendors, games scattered throughout, high top tables in the back, a big comfy looking couch and local art. I got the sense that Blue Market 42 was more than just coffee, but a place to socialize, relax, and to be part of the community. Blue Market 42 serves Jittery Joe's Coffee. I really enjoyed my cortado. My husband really enjoyed the spinning tops on the table. Enjoying life one cortado at a time!
