I spoke with the owner on several occasions about a Wolfe Scooter that was purchased there and serviced countless times in the past. This guy told me that he would be there to pick it up and repair it again after the $600. in repairs that was just done a month ago. It ran about three miles and was broke again. This guy never showed up even after I contacted him on the phone the day he supposed to be there and said he own the way . I waited and no show. I texted him to make sure everything was ok. From that point I have made several attempts to contact him to no avail. He never answers the phone and probably blocked me. He was familiar with the scooter and and basically ripped the former owner off in service and repairs and washed his hands of it. I brought in a moped that needed repair. They quoted me a day later and everything looked good, so I gave them the green light and they ordered the parts and completed all the work within a week. The quote was fair and accurate. This is where it gets good- I loaded the moped onto my truck, *At this point Scooter Stop is no longer liable for damages*, and it fell over and the left blinker broke off. Major bummer, but it was my fault so I didn't say anything. I get home and 4 days later in my mailbox was a brand new left blinker. They must have seen it happen on camera after the fact and went above and beyond in customer care by sending me a new one. This is THE moped repair shop in Charleston. I got my moped key stolen from me and I called every single locksmith I knew to try and get a new key made. NO ONE HELPED. Except when I called Scooter Stop because it was literally my last resort. To my surprise, they said they could easily help me, and Caleb came and picked up my scooter for me from downtown Charleston. We highly recommend Scooter Stop. It's on Folly Road and was only $60 per bike for 24 hours, including a full tank of fuel and they give you a lesson each time before you ride free of charge. It was really a very helpful lesson too as it was my first time. And it was completely customized to you, however long it takes. Then we practiced in this really pretty waterfront neighborhood behind the shop until we felt comfortable going on the open road. It was a quiet neighborhood that was perfect for practicing. You can set the appointment online and they have the bike ready to go when you get there. It was as simple a process as it could be and fun too. The bikes look brand new and rode perfectly. These guys destroyed my moped. My scooter used to crank every time kick start or electric start no problem until the first time I took it to these guys to get it serviced. Ever since then it's been one thing after another with my scooter. I spent more than $300 getting my scooter serviced at Caleb's "scooter shop" only to be left stranded with a broken down scooter less than a week later. They some how always find something new that's wrong with it and always want another $300 to fix the thing I asked them to fix the first time. Even paid for new head lights and never received them. I would have been better off buying a push scooter from Walmart after all the times I've had to push my scooter back home after dealing with these guys. And yet they would some how figure out how to screw up a razor push scooter. Can't believe I let Caleb fool me into thinking he was an honest dude and was gonna help me get my scooter running right. In my opinion the worst place to purchase a moped. The owner Caleb not only sold a brand new scooter that consistently started stalling and failing to start right out of the box at just 120 miles. When I called him not only did he charge me for tow and blamed me for a loose plug seemed to be an issue with assembly after the scooter was purchased , he even blamed me for choosing the wrong scooter and told me he would never have taken me on as a customer. CALEB, the shop owner was rude, unprofessional, and discourteous at best and seemed to be only interested in making money from me from repairs. He kept insisting that I had to come to him and only him for servicing. I would and the problems would repeat. I would highly recommend that anyone interested in a scooter go to Moped City or Port City Mopeds both of which service Bentelli mopeds and sell better quality mopeds wothout the hassle.
