Visiting CHS more than once without a rental car (especially during the hot summer months) makes you wish you had a quick set of wheels. Scooter Stop is it! We will forever suggest this as an option to anyone who's visiting the holy city. You can zip in and around the downtown area, south of broad, the battery, all while enjoying a little breeze. We were able to see so much more on our last trip because of the scooters! We took them to Folly Beach for lunch and to Angel Oak... with these you're not confined to just the city area. Owner/staff were incredibly friendly and made the reservation process super simple, did majority of it online before we got there! read more

Scooter Stop - Me riding my scooter - Motorcycle Repair Near Me - Charleston, South Carolina

My family recently bought 3 Wolf Rugby 2s from Scooter Stop and Caleb. We live in Ohio and when you do internet business with a company out of state it always has the chance to be a dicey situation! Let me tell you Caleb was awesome to work with and delivered the scooters himself to us in Ohio. He walked us through the scooter and it's functions, as well as, all the paperwork. Getting our Ohio titles was breeze with Caleb having everything together in a packet for the scooters. Looks like we are going to be ordering a few more scooters and when we are down in South Carolina for vacation I know where to rent a scooter now!! Thanks again Scooter Stop and Caleb. First class customer service!!!! read more

One of the most vulgar uneducated businesses to deal with. RUN dont walk from doing business with this Company. If you have any problems from questions, warranty, delivery issues etc. you will receive nothing but a sarcastic response. Once they have your money your screwed. read more

Horrible service they don't care about the people in the area the sell scooters to won't help me find parts.told me he doesn't make enough money off us locals.so he tells use to fuck off he's making more money with online sales .I bought a new moped.the fuel gauge didn't work from day one.they told me to come back for the 500 mile check up and they would fix it then for $65 a hour.my front tire was loose from day one .do not do business with these hacks! read more

Excellence service from Caleb. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Would recommend the shop to anyone looking to buy a moped.

No complaints whatsoever. Caleb was helpful and informative. Top notch service. Would recommend extremely highly.

This place is awesome if you are looking to purchase a scooter I will highly recommend Scooter Stop. I live almost 4 hours away from where these guys are located and I had better communication with Caleb and his team then I did with a shop that was 20 minutes from me. Caleb worked with me on what would suit me the best for what I was looking for. He also helped me with the financing options. And when and if I had a question after the purchase he has walked me through it. I could not be happier with my purchase and the service after the sell. if you are looking for a scooter or moped. DO NOT LOOK ANYWHERE ELSE!!!! SCOOTER STOP IS THE ONLY PLACE TO PURCHASE ONE!!!! This is by far the best buying experience I've had online and to be quite honest in store. These guys rock, they are freaking awesome!!!! Thanks Caleb and all your team for all your help and assistance!! read more

Scooter Stop - Genuine Roughhouse 50. Awesome scooter definitely worth the money and definitely would and will buy from Scooter Stop again!!! - Motorcycle Repair Near Me - Charleston, South Carolina

I spoke with the owner on several occasions about a Wolfe Scooter that was purchased there and serviced countless times in the past. This guy told me that he would be there to pick it up and repair it again after the $600. in repairs that was just done a month ago. It ran about three miles and was broke again. This guy never showed up even after I contacted him on the phone the day he supposed to be there and said he own the way . I waited and no show. I texted him to make sure everything was ok. From that point I have made several attempts to contact him to no avail. He never answers the phone and probably blocked me. He was familiar with the scooter and and basically ripped the former owner off in service and repairs and washed his hands of it. THIS GUY IS A CROOK AND IS NOT IN ANY WAY RELIABLE OR BUSINESS ORIENTATED. IF YOU WANT TO SCREWED OVER, GO THERE. read more

We rented a pair of scooters from Caleb for the day - what a FANTASTIC way to spend the day in Folly Beach, Charleston, and the surrounding areas. We had a blast. We motored all over the place, were able to see so many things - the scooters allow you to experience the area in a unique and up close way. Super easy to park and get around, way better than a car, and you get to see way more things than an electric bike. Highly recommend!!! read more

Rude. Long story short i asked a simple question about another bike after being refunded and Caleb took his own time to respond to me "we refunded you so we wouldnt have to deal with you anymore. Time is money" without even answering my question btw. -if you reading this Caleb hope you realized how you wasted your own time. Maybe thats why your business isnt doing very good? Again, you should work on that. Also didnt even mention how they had my money for month only to tell me the bike i was assured id have in less than a week was no longer available somehow? To the potential customers out there - If these are the kind of people you want to give your money to and waste your OWN time, then go ahead. But good luck and mighty patience if you do. read more

We walked in not knowing much about scooters but with cash ready to buy one. We left still not knowing much..he talked in circles...without a scooter. The guy was not willing to budge one penny. We went to Moped Dr on Hwy 17 and spend 1100.00 bucks. Your loss! I would never recommend anyone go here! read more

My husband and I rented these while we were on our honeymoon in Charleston. It was a great choice! We had a blast riding around, and prices rivaled that of a rental car. The scooters were dropped off right at our hotel which was a huge convenience. On time arrival and pick up. I took off one star because the scooters could use some repairs. My husband's left turn signal on the dash of his scooter didn't work. read more

I have to take back what I said before. Not only was my problem fixed, I got a new, much nicer scooter out of the deal. They just wanted me to be happy and went the extra mile for me. Thanks! read more

Caleb is a great business man and completely Fixed everything on my scooter but had a minor issue starting again. Spoke with them and they asked me to return it so they could look at it again. I brought it in the morning and was riding off by noon. Simple issue was easily resolved without any extra charges or head aches you get from most other shops. read more

After a terrible experience with trying to rent a car in Charleston while staying downtown, I ended up reaching out to Scooter-Stop. I thought it would be at least a cool way to get around the city, and it would have all the perks of riding a motorcycle (low gas consumption, easy to park, breezy rides, etc.) I called them up and they gave me a BRAND NEW SCOOTER never been driven, 0 miles on it, and from the time I called to driving away only took 20 minutes. Completely profession, hassle free, and totally affordable. I liked it so much, I called back and extended the rental for another day! John is awesome and the guys over there are super friendly. Thanks for being reliable when it seems other rental dealers are letting people down consistently. read more

I brought in a moped that needed repair. They quoted me a day later and everything looked good, so I gave them the green light and they ordered the parts and completed all the work within a week. The quote was fair and accurate. This is where it gets good- I loaded the moped onto my truck, *At this point Scooter Stop is no longer liable for damages*, and it fell over and the left blinker broke off. Major bummer, but it was my fault so I didn't say anything. I get home and 4 days later in my mailbox was a brand new left blinker. They must have seen it happen on camera after the fact and went above and beyond in customer care by sending me a new one. This is THE moped repair shop in Charleston. Great work, great people, great customer service!! I won't look elsewhere. read more

SCOOTER STOP STOLE MY MOPED! This place sucks. Terrible customer service. Sent my moped in for repairs and was told it would take a while because they had to order a part. Over the course of several months i continued to call them and never received a call back. When i went into the store to see what was up, they claimed to have no idea what i was talking about. They refused to return my money and said they would replace my moped with one of nicer quality. That was 3 weeks ago and i haven't heard a single thing. They lost my business and respect and if you're smart you will steer clear of this place. read more

Andrew and Caleb are great guys and have helped me out quite a bit even though I did not get my ride from them. This is a great shop run by very knowledgeable dudes. A must for any concern you have or part you need. I recommend them very highly. One thing for any of the nay sayers out there: remember you get what you pay for. If you want quality spend the extra money and get a nicer ride. There are cheap quality scooters sold at every store around town. Beware of the lower price tags. read more

I got my moped key stolen from me and I called every single locksmith I knew to try and get a new key made. NO ONE HELPED. Except when I called Scooter Stop because it was literally my last resort. To my surprise, they said they could easily help me, and Caleb came and picked up my scooter for me from downtown Charleston. He also helped repair some of the minor damages on it for me as he changed my lock. SUPER HELPFUL! and very fast. I was out of there in like 1 hour. Such a great guy and I highly recommend! read more

Caleb fixed my moped for much less than a competitors quote and gave me a free hour long lesson in which he took me driving in the nearby neighborhood and on Folly Road. They got me in quickly repaired my b moped and got me out for a reasonable price. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.

I ordered a Chicago 50cc and it was delivered the next day. I was given a detail overview of the scooter and felt confident riding it the first time. Super helpful, great customer service. read more

We highly recommend Scooter Stop. It's on Folly Road and was only $60 per bike for 24 hours, including a full tank of fuel and they give you a lesson each time before you ride free of charge. It was really a very helpful lesson too as it was my first time. And it was completely customized to you, however long it takes. Then we practiced in this really pretty waterfront neighborhood behind the shop until we felt comfortable going on the open road. It was a quiet neighborhood that was perfect for practicing. You can set the appointment online and they have the bike ready to go when you get there. It was as simple a process as it could be and fun too. The bikes look brand new and rode perfectly. I was kind of scared at first, but if I can do this, anyone can. Trust me, I'm a wimp. read more

Nice guys but shouldn't be a repair shop. If you're getting work done go somewhere else. $160 bucks and 2 weeks later moped ran the exact same as when I brought it in. Went to another repair shop $127 and 2 days later scooter is running perfect. read more

I bought a cheap scooter for fun when I moved down to charleston to ride around downtown and have loved having it for the warmer months. However, I received the MOST terrible service from the store that I bought the scooter from. TERRIBLE. When I needed my scooter fixed I couldn't bear the thought of going back there, so I called scooter stop. More than once they have come to pick up my scooter and help me out, along with offer great advice and great service. They picked up my scooter on Friday and it's now being delivered back by 1pm on Monday- fantastic. They have been great to work with- prompt, professional and friendly. I highly recommend checking them out- I wish I'd bought my scooter from them in the beginning and saved myself the read more

These guys destroyed my moped. My scooter used to crank every time kick start or electric start no problem until the first time I took it to these guys to get it serviced. Ever since then it's been one thing after another with my scooter. I spent more than $300 getting my scooter serviced at Caleb's "scooter shop" only to be left stranded with a broken down scooter less than a week later. They some how always find something new that's wrong with it and always want another $300 to fix the thing I asked them to fix the first time. Even paid for new head lights and never received them. I would have been better off buying a push scooter from Walmart after all the times I've had to push my scooter back home after dealing with these guys. And yet they would some how figure out how to screw up a razor push scooter. Can't believe I let Caleb fool me into thinking he was an honest dude and was gonna help me get my scooter running right. Money hungry place, could care less about what the customer receives. I'd put 0 stars if I could read more
