Was really excited to come here for an ice cream with my friend and daughter. However, was disappointed with the service. The young girl waiting on us bent over into the ice cream freezer and had her untied long hair falling all over my ice cream in her left hand. She proceeded to do the same with my friend's ice cream. When she was told by us that she should tie her hair up since it kept touching the ice cream, she just said she didn't have time and proceeded to scoop the ice cream. This place is really cool. They serve Blue Bell ice cream, and we decided to share a banana split (see photo). After tax and tip, it was $12, but quite delicious in every way. And the view of the water is spectacular! The service was also good. They asked if we wanted the nuts on top (I assume to check for dietary restrictions) which was nice. The location of this spot seemed to have closed and now they serve inside the Snoopy's Pier restaurant. We ordered at the counter but I think they messed up my order. I saw the lady trying to pry something off the chocolate barnacle and it popped off, but I think it took a piece of the dessert with it. When I compare photos, I am missing the top chocolate piece. A little pricey for what it is. It did taste like a chocolate cookie and cream dessert. A great little spot for dessert! Located out on the peninsula just before the main bridge to Padre Island you'll find Scoopy's. Coincidentally located next to Snoopy's restaurant this dessert stop carries cakes, ice cream's, and sandwich treats. Our server was exceptionally pleasant and filter sent on the history of the area. We decided on a couple of items in store, and a couple of to go items for later! Everything we tried from waffle cone ice cream to tiramisu was fresh, delicious, and satisfied our sweet tooth. Let me start by saying what we had for lunch was delicious. Hence the four star review. If based on service, would not have been four star. Nothing terrible happened. It was a comedy of errors trying to order. First, sandwiches are served on an onion roll, which I personally find a strong taste and a weird choice as the only bread offered. We asked the cashier what other bread they had and she kept telling us Panini bread. We only have Panini bread. I gave up and ordered my sandwich on Panini bread though I didn't want it toasted and a wonderfully toasted chicken salad sandwich arrived. Served on normal sandwich bread that was toasted. No idea why it was so complicated. Also despite having soft serve pictured on the outside of building, they don't actually have any. Blue bell only! The second best ice cream shop in all of the world in my opinion only playing second fiddle to rockadilly's in new Braunfels Texas. They serve some unique and truly tasty treats in the Corpus Christi and surrounding areas. I can't even express the awesomeness that is Scoopys so so good. The lady taking our orders today was very rude. I can't even explain why. When we attempted to pay she pushed my husband's hand from the credit card machine. We left completely disgusted by her attitude. I'd highly suggest getting a friendlier person to deal with customers.
