The only downside we have agreed upon as a family, is that there is no guardrail or protection with it being on the side of the road and people flying through the way they do. The ice cream is just delicious and refreshing! We ate our ice cream in their hand crafted chairs with nature and all its beauty! Wow!! This ice cream place gets a lot of business in the summer time. The lines are so long, sometimes you have to wait about 30 minutes just to order your ice cream. BUT, it's so worth the wait.! They have tables and chairs you can sit and wait for your orders. And a little path that you can walk down to look around. The place this really cute and clean area. This last visit I got an affogato with the Tennessee Toffee ice cream. Really liked that ice cream flavor. My husband got the unicorn sundae. I tried it and it was very sweet. I personally would not order that one again but it is cute and colorful. Kids would love it, although you need to be careful with it- the unicorn horn candy is made on a toothpick. This quaint roadside ice cream stand is a must visit and a fun day trip for anyone in the Piedmont Triad. We frequent this place when taking our Boy Scouts to Camp Raven Knob. There's an artsy vibe to the property with some fun sculptures and art to look at and some fun trails to hike. There's nowhere to eat inside as it's a little trailer. But they have some great sundaes and a few unique flavors. We tried the Orange Pineapple in a waffle cone which was very refreshing on a hot day. We also got the Nutter Waffle Sundae that was loaded with waffle cone pieces, caramel, salted nuts and whipped cream. The salted nuts make this sundae an absolute hit with the sweet and salty contrast. Great place, good vibes! Go there, you deserve great things in life. read more

This place is a great stop if you are traveling I77 and run through Mt. Airy. It isn't far off the highway but feels like you are out in the country. The seating and vibe is very eclectic but the ice cream is great. Lots of great flavors. I had the black walnut which is unique and very good if you like black walnuts. If you have ever been to hillbilly hotdogs in WV, this reminds me somewhat of it but with ice cream. Take a break from driving and visit this ice joint. You won't be disappointed! read more
