Delicious! I stopped at this "food truck" trailer for lunch today and it was good stuff. Following behind two other gents, I decided to copy their order and got one of the ABTs with a brisket wrap. The wrap was okay, nothing special. Nicely loaded and assembled, more stuff than brisket. The winner here was the ABT, an Atomic Buffalo Turd. Absolutely appalling to look at but what would you expect with that name? A jalapeno pepper stuffed with cream cheese and pulled pork, wrapped in bacon and then smoked over hickory. Food came out fast just for it to be awful. Portion to price ratio is horrendous. Genuinely awful. They also dump a can of baked beans on the fries. Pulled pork is a jaw workout due to being as dry as beef jerky. Must have been cooked for fifty times as long as it should have. The music wasn't bad if you are a complete dork. They cant even set up a table in a stable fashion, they slide and tilt all over. On top of that, you can see a nasty outhouse right next to the main eating area, and the smell will drift over occasionally. Look at recent reviews, it has gone off a cliff. Shame. Truly. The loaded fries cost as much as 4 cravings boxes at taco bell. Just for them to be a portion best suited for a little person. Your website also sucks. After reading such stellar reviews we decided to stop here to grab dinner and bring it back to where we were staying. Granted we bought it around 2 and heated it up around 8 pm. I got the BBQ sandwich with a side of beans and it was absolutely fabulous. Thank you you the girl who prepared our order and recommended 2 of their handmade sauces. 1) Alabama white lightening 2) Floyd firewater both were so good with my sandwich. The only thing I wish they had were some type of starch like fries or onion rings. They do have jalapeño poppers but I didn't want anything too spicy. The food heated up very well in our oven and the taste was wonderful! I bet it tastes even better fresh! Can't wait to visit again! Parking is a little tight so we did park on the road. The whole "outer space" vibe is really neat! You should visit if you love good Smokey BBQ. read more

I got the half rack of ribs with two sides, beans and slaw. There were no collard greens or corn bread! The beans were straight out of a can. The slaw was dry and flavorless. Fortunately, the ribs were very meaty, but I won't go back. read more

Holy cow (pig)!!!!!!! Stopped by the food truck next to Lowe's to grab a quick "snack". To be honest I did not expect much from a food truck but I was very mistaken. I got a classic pulled pork sandwich and fries and it was to die for!!!!! Great pulled pork sandwich, but the fries were SO DELICIOUS. They were incredible, perfectly crunchy with a delicious seasoning, enough to bring me back for sure. Will absolutely grab this for dinner/lunch the next time I come across them. read more

Came to Bootleg BBQ's setup at the Roanoke GO festival. Upon advice from the worker, I ordered a plate of pulled pork for $12, but was sadly present with surprisingly small portions. The pulled pork (their specialty) was a bit drier than the BBQ style I'm used to, but paired with one of the three sauces (white, yellow and red) it tasted quite good. Pretty solid BBQ for a fair price. Very glad this was open when I went through. The google hours aren't right, so double check. The memory hear for me though is the fried pickles. I've had fried chip pickles (me) and fried spear pickles (now we are talking), but this were thin spears... like french fry size that were fried. Fantastic. Would go out of my way for those. Stopped to eat with my husband and two of our friends today. We had several questions about the food before eating and the employee working was not professional and did not answer our questions. Then the employee proceeded to count the tip jar and money in the cash register. After counting the money they did not wash their hands before preparing the food. Then when our food and drinks came out, there was dirt in the top of our drink cans. We had to throw away our food that we paid almost fifty dollars for. Being from Georgia and having quick access to the Carolina variety as an option, I pretty much look down on other attempters of BBQ. And the further north they are, the more snobbish I become about my BBQ. I guess I am a BBQist? Anyway I tried the cowboy bowl which is a bowl layered with beans, pork and slaw. The result is that I have to give this place a thumbs up. It was good. The pork was well done, moist and good flavor even by my snobbish standards. I've lived in floyd for 3 years and FINALLY tried this place last month. (I was a vegetarian for over a decade, so I got there as soon as I could!) Let me tell you- this shit is delicious. First visit, I got the brisket. Huge slices of heaven piled on a bun. Soon I was trying the chicken and the pulled pork, also amazing. Slaw is great, beans are great, fries are great. Sorry y'all..but this truck is ridiculously overpriced for what you get. Extra Small portions, and cold food that tastes as if it was cooked last week. Very disappointed. The optimist in me wants to think it was a fluke...but for the foreseeable future I will not be returning. read more
