I have been a fan of Scoops since they open! The owners and service have been excellent! I can honestly say, I've never had a bad experience anytime I've come here. I always want to try something new but the OG açaí bowl has my heart! I only get a regular size and I feel so full when I finish it. It's excellent quality of ingredients and freshness. Since moving next door to a bigger location they now have lots of seating to enjoy a bowl. Doesn't feel crowded. They even have a photo wall where you can take pictures with friends and family. I absolutely love that they post a Bible Verse everyday. "Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you." -Isaiah 60:1 NIV read more

Scoops Handcrafted Acai Bowls - OG açaí with chia pudding, strawberry, blue berries, almond and granola and extra honey drizzle - Acai Bowls Near Me - Merced, California

Fabulous bowls! Lots of fresh ingredients & many choices for bases, toppings, and drizzles. Fast & friendly service. I love their new location with plenty of indoor seating and cute fall decor. My favorite bases are ube & coconut, but today I tried the special S'mores Scream Bowl with Chocolate Base, Granola, Bananas, Marshmallow Fluff, Nutella Drizzle, & Graham Cracker. The little paper knife is edible! read more

Family owned with a cute and friendly vibe. Easy to read menu with build your own options. The fruit is fresh and flavorful and the sorbet bases are sweet and delicious! Very refreshing on a hot summer day. The only reason I have a 4 out of 5 is the lack of a "healthy" option as the sorbet bases all have a fair amount of sugar in them. I will definitely return here when I want a refreshing sweet treat. read more

The food is 5 stars. Very generous on the toppings and the fruit was not mushy. Solid and refreshing Service is a 5 as well. The people who work there are nice and served up the scoops very fast. Me and my lil brother was in their for a total of 8-10 mins. Now the Ambience is like a 3. Almost a 2. Very small, no tables to sit and enjoy the Açaí bowls. Which makes no since. And me personally I like a digital menu board with pictures. Scoops is very much a to go place. And if u show up with 5 people it can get really un comfortable, due to how small the place of business is with no seating. All in all I love the Scoops Açaí Bowls. Scoooooops!!! That's how I say it when my family and I drive there. Scoops is so delicious and authentic. It is a cute hole in the wall type of small business. I am so happy Merced finally has another option for açaí bowls other than just Jamba Juices played out flavors. They offer a rewards program also you just need to add your phone number to build points. Customer service is kind and helpful with recommendations on flavors you may like and even offer samples. One thing that did rub me the wrong way was while waiting for my order one of the workers friends was just chatting with them while standing in front of the pickup window... very inconsiderate I think because at first I thought she was waiting for an order until I asked and she said no... and continued to talk with the worker about upcoming plans they had for the weekend lol. read more

Scoops Handcrafted Acai Bowls - Blue scoops - Acai Bowls Near Me - Merced, California

I'm from SoCal and was in the area and decided to try this place. The decoration is a bit lacking with seating being a bit sparse. The cashier and people in the back were pretty friendly. I would say, you definitely get a bang for your buck from this place. For the 12oz bowl it's about $9 and they pack it with a lot of toppings and base. Compared to SoCal, this place is very good and the price is so much better. Definitely a gem to try! read more

Scoops Handcrafted Acai Bowls - Custom made 12 oz Acai bowl - Acai Bowls Near Me - Merced, California

To be honest over the last 2 years scoops has been a consistent and enjoyable treat in Merced - however I just went back after they relocated and I'm genuinely shocked at this portion level. I'm not sure how this is considered 16oz - the açaí itself is not even 2 inches off the bottom and the toppings barely reach the top of the container (not the lid). With that being said the quality of their bowls is still very good and hoping this isn't a consistency across orders. read more

Yummy! Fresh fruits and great flavors. I do have to say, the base is not a lot with about 2 inches of it, not compacted. I was disappointed with that considering the price of the 16 ounce. Definitely should have received more as most of it was toppings. However, it was very delicious. Sevice is very quick and efficient. The ambiance has a lot of area for growth. read more

Stopped by on our way home from Yosemite for some açaí bowls. It was a hot day and we were looking for something refreshing to eat. The person who took our order was friendly, gave us recommendations and answered all of our questions. We ended up getting the OG Scoops bowl. The toppings were good, but the acai base was frozen and hard. Not sure if it was served that way because it was really hot outside. I'm not used to eating my acai bowl frozen. The store is also pretty small inside and there are no seats so it's take out only. read more

My 2nd visit to this spot and once again devoured my bowl as did my husband and friend. The signature bowls are great options if you're new to açaí bowls. I love the build your own option, it makes it a new experience each time you go and never gets old. Each bowl is beautifully made by the workers, you have to take a pic to appreciate their work. It's such a warm and welcoming place run by a sweet family. Go check it out if you haven't yet! read more

My wife and I have wanted to check this place out and finally had a chance today! This is exciting because Merced has needed an açaí spot and we have one now - the best part is you can tell they take pride in good service and quality food. Scoops delivers! I've had many açaí bowls while traveling throughout California and Scoops proves to be top tier! They were fast in serving, friendly, and patient as I asked about their menu choices. They even offered samples. The toppings were fresh, and plentiful, as you can see in the photos. A must try is their Açaí peanut butter. It's the bomb, with Nutella sauce; which hardens and becomes like a crunchy topping. That'll be my go-to for sure!! Next time I'm getting a large!! read more

Scoops Handcrafted Acai Bowls - Acai/Peanut Butter w/ strawberries, almonds, Nutella and honey. Exceptional! - Acai Bowls Near Me - Merced, California

Beware: this spot is addicting!! This family-owned place easily became one of my favorite spots (if not my favorite) in Merced! Chris, his family, and everyone that work here are all super friendly and always give the best service (patient, informative, welcoming). There's no sitting room; It's pretty much two little rooms (one for the servers and one for customers) so it can get a little crowded but we usually take it to eat at home anyway so we don't mind. It's spooky season right now, so the decorations are cute! All the bases are super yummy and there are so many ways to customize your açaí bowl to your liking. If you don't know what to get, they're happy to give you samples which is super helpful in building your own bowl or choosing a Signature Scoops Bowl. My favorite flavors and textures are the açaí and matcha bases, and personally cacao nibs and granola are a must have. The bases here are nice and thick so there's a nice texture and they don't turn into a soup before you can finish. And if you're still reading this, don't mind the gaps in the bowl; they weigh out the bases so you get the right amount for the size you get. It'll run you $10-$15 but it's so worth it for what you get. read more

It is a really good thing Merced has a go to Acai bowl place. They serve up delicious Acai Bowls, and each one is made with heart. Having an open window to see the process they go through to make each one is nice. No seating what so ever, and that is mainly to do with how small the location is. Service is always good. They work as fast as they can during those busy hours. The Acai Bowl is very good. Fresh Fruit, granola, honey, and of course that delicious scoop of Acai. My only draw back is the prices of each bowl. You will be looking at paying roughly $10 for each one. Parking is limited as the parking lot is small, and the location is not as convenient as one would like. Recommend read more

Scoops has quickly become one of my favorite places to satisfy my sweet tooth. They provide high quality, tasty acai bowls with fresh ingredients that you can taste. Prices are very pretty reasonable, as their portions are pretty generous and the quality of the acai bases, fruit, and other toppings are very high quality. With a large variety of flavors, toppings, and a rotating seasonal menu, there will be something for every palate at Scoops. My favorite is their Matcha Scoops! Chris and his family provide excellent customer service, answering questions for first time customers and greeting every visitor with a warm smile. They also uphold Christian values, with a new Bible verse up on a chalkboard everyday. While Scoops has only been open for a few months, it has quickly become one of my favorite places in Merced to eat. You will not find quality in bowls and customer service like this anywhere else. read more
