a group of people standing outside of a store

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, they serve customers one at a time, which makes sense. So, if you're planning to order ice cream from them, be prepared to stand in the lineup, both for ordering and receiving your order. We ordered two scoops (Pecan Butter Tart + Watermelon Gelato) in a cone with a topping of Raw Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. The topping and Pecan Butter Tart didn't taste good at all. It was like eating frozen butter and sugar. But the Watermelon Gelato was OK only!

We had spent the day in nearby Elora Gorge Park, and we were on the prowl for ice cream. We drove…read moreover to the downtown area, which is a charming and adorable tourist trap. There are a lot of wonderful shops, and it's very walkable. We stopped in this story, which is nominally an olive oil and herbs shop, but because it was summertime and it is hot, I suspect they decided to diversify, and they also have some ice cream. It was good, but not jump-out-of-your-skin wonderful. The counter was a little disorganized for checking out, but it seems like it would be a better place to visit for olive oil purposes.

The Village Olive Grove is a gourmet extra virgin olive oil and vinegar shop that imports from all over the world. There we learned how to tell if extra virgin olive oil is authentic and how it's made. We also learned how to taste vinegar without the acidic flavour getting in the way. Just when you think you're a foodie, you learn something new! Love it! Last, but not least, we sampled Mapleton's Organic Ice Cream. It was flavoured with dandelion. It had a mild mocha flavour. Pretty good! We all looked worried when he said it was made with dandelion, but were all impressed. The owner is very knowledgeable and will allow you to sample any oil or vinegar in the store. The prices are higher than grocery stores, but you're here for the quality and you will definitely get it!

Cool spot and wholesome locally sourced food!…read more Really neat that their brewery is so open air and flows right into the dining area. We ordered their: - Elora Borealis beer -EBC Burger (5/5) very thick and juicy! Love the locally sourced fluffy brioche bun from Elora Bread Co -APPLE BRINE TURKEY SANDWICH (5/5) real turkey meat and best side salad ever! Service was generally good but they forgot to put in our order so it delayed our food by 1 hour, they were nice enough to take one of our dishes off the bill!

If you are a fan of waitstaff who don't care if you live or die is this ever the place for you!!…read more Seriously don't know what happened to this establishment. Last year we went twice and thought is was great. Went today and decided to sit at the bar so that we could truly feel the vibe. Wow. Was that ever a mistake. All the servers seem to have run of the taps and are not organized at all. The kicker here is that we sat right in front of the taps and still had to fight to be acknowledged. Did I mention that we were the only people sitting at the bar?!?! Insane right?!? Nope. True story. Finally one of the servers offered us water so we said sure. Dropped the water off and ran. Like RAN!!! Another server came up to us about ten or so minutes later and said, "do you want any food"? I asked if we could order our drinks as well and she stared at us blankly which I took as a "whatever dude". Ordered two drinks and two apps as she punched the order into her handheld device and quickly ran away. Seriously said nothing. Food and drinks came, average at best, no one checked on us, they fumbled over each other in front of us, still no one checked on us, we finished, and still no one checked on us. Finally yet another server came and took our empty plates, said nothing, walked away. Flagged down yet another server five minutes later so that we could pay. We voiced our displeasure in our experience and he DID NOT SAY A WORD!!! Just awkwardly grinned and handed over the payment machine. You cannot make this stuff up. One of our worst experiences in a restaurant ever. Just wow

It's situated along the busy Paisley & Imperial intersection underneath an apartment complex. I knew I had to return here in the afternoon for lunch. The inspiration behind this restaurant draws from a couple's dining experience in Europe. Here's my rundown: Food: We started off with the Coffee for Two, which came on a serving platter with a French press, 2 wafers, and 2 shots of Perrier water. The coffee was rich and it made for a unique experience with the French press. Florence - We then had one of their savoury crepes called the Florence. You had the option of getting this as a crepe or a waffle and it came drizzled with a light cream sauce, seasoned with salt, pepper & oregano. The filling had melted mozzarella and prosciutto and it was finished with field greens, cherry tomatoes, and a balsamic glaze. Overall, this was a pretty light dish! The crepe itself was slightly sweet and had a nice texture to it. Annecy - We finished with a Belgian waffle with ice cream. This came with French vanilla ice cream, strawberries, sliced bananas, nutella drizzle, and whipped cream. The presentation was beautiful and the dessert tasted very good and it wasn't too sweet. I would suggest sharing this with people as it's a little too much for one person to devour. Atmosphere: The overall vibe of the restaurant is nice. The decor is quite modern and there's a blackboard that showcases famous landmarks and places in Europe, which is the inspiration behind this restaurant. There's patio seating, high chair seating, and normal seating. There's a section that features one low-rise table and three chairs that's perfect for catching up with friends. All in all, I would say that this restaurant gives up vibes that make you feel relaxed and at home, which is what you should always feel at places like this one. Service: Service was good. The barista was really knowledgeable in the food items and recommended us all the things we ordered. The food didn't take long to come out and the barista kept checking up on us to see how we the food was and how are dining experience was. Price: The coffee for two was $7.00, savoury crepe was $12.75, and the waffle was $13.75 (it's an additional one dollar to get the waffle instead of the crepe). The price isn't too bad, especially given the great service. Verdict: Whether you're doing a stroll in the neighbourhood, catching up with friends, or just plain hungry, Crepes & Coffee is your one stop shop. They've been in business for 4 weeks now and our in the midst of experimenting with food options (they recently just introduced the savoury crepes). The west end of Guelph isn't quite known for its food or desserts so this place was definitely a nice addition to a area that's lacking desserts like crepes. Check this place out before it gets busy. One thing that you must bring is your credit or debit card as Crepes & Coffee makes an effort to try to reduce the amount of physical cash used and also went paperless. I'm giving this a 4.5 stars out of 5 mainly because of the great service, the atmosphere inside the restaurant, and the taste of the food. My two complaints are that they don't open earlier than 10am and their savoury crepe options are limited. Nevetheless, it's great to see the West End of Guelph growing when popping restaurants like this one.
