    Mint chip

Yum! Who doesn't love ice cream! I got to try their earl grey and honey, and the mint chip! I love how the mint isn't green!! Both flavours were pretty good, you can really taste the honey on that earl grey, and the mint was actually very minty - I love mint! They have very unique flavours, very fitting for the season!

See, so much blueberry! I like blueberries, yet it can be a strong flavor against the milder corn.

My review is on their 75 King street S location in Waterloo. I first tried their ice cream when I got a single serving in their super cute small size container at the Crafty Ramen place on Water street, in downtown Kitchener. There, I tried the honey ginger. It tasted like an Indian fudge dessert, called burfi I know well, made with cardamom and milk. Mmm so good. I went with a friend that night to get the ramen and she told me she tried the Four All ice cream at their scoop shop. I was like, where? She said on King. Then she told me, what she had, "sweet corn and blueberry". I was like OMGosh, gotta try that. Because the honey ginger was reminiscent of something else I love, I thought their other flavours would be equally worthwhile. I went today and I gotta say, or rather type... with the build up of excitement and looking forwardness that enticed me to seek this place out. I was very underwhelmed. I got the sweet corn and blueberry, as well as their peach pie. The Niagara peaches sold here in town are absolutely mouth wateringly delicious. I thought the peach pie ice cream would be too. Unfortunately it was sub-par. And the much anticipated sweet corn blueberry was disappointing also. Being a corn fiend! I was expecting so much more corn flavour and for it not to be over powered by blueberry. Although both flavours compliment each other well, the corn-ness of the ice cream, fell significantly short. The presence of blueberry was everywhere. Even when my friend was telling me what flavour she had, I got all excited thinking they were separate flavours. Ah, no! The thing that sucks too is NO SAMPLES. So even if I was interested in trying any of them, it gots to be in a scoop form after purchase. Man, this covid thing really throws a kink into ones ice cream enjoyment plans. Needless to say I'm not entirely gonna write this place off. Its awesome that they're local and have been able to sustain their company amidst this covid pandemic. CONGRATS! I'd be open to trying other flavours. I like how affordable it is too. 2 scoops and a waffle cone, only came out to over $4. Usually places in Toronto charge probably between $6 to $8 for the same amount. Ridiculous. So, as mentioned I am keen to try other flavour options. I didnt like how the employee didn't pack the first scoop (the corn and blueberry) down enough because when she finished scooping the peach pie (the top scoop) and placed my cone on the cone holder, some of the corn and blueberry ice cream feel off my cone and it was discarded. Not a significant amount for me to request more. Yet it was frustrating. It could also be how the ice cream is made that either it doesn't stick together too well or it melts pretty promptly. As I walked out with it, up the street to find a place to sit down and eat in peace it kept on dripping down my cone, my fingers, on to the floor. This caused my napkin to stick to the cone. When I had reached the portion of the cone contained within the napkin, I had to scratch off the napkin residue in order to eat my cone. Hahaha. Yes, I could've thrown it out. The cone is one of the most enjoyable parts IMO, and especially in this case! Plus however small, I really dont like spending money on food only to toss it away. Stepping in this tiny lil shop, the aroma is intoxicating. Even threw the mask I was wearing. Perhaps I will return within the next couple of weeks.

Vegan Peanut butter Chocolate single scoop in a cone

TIP#1: FREE waffle cone -you have a choice of having your scoop(s) in a cup or a FREE waffle cone TIP#2: Try their flavours before ordering -you can have 2 flavours in a single scoop by asking for half scoops! -you can ask for testers/samples before ordering too TIP#3: Pint-only Flavours -there's a lot of flavours that aren't available in scoops and are only available in pints that seemed intriguing (specifically, the White Chocolate Cherry Almond & Whiskey Caramel Pecan) //OVERALL THOUGHTS// Love that this is a local business and there's some interesting flavours ! It is however very pricey for relatively small scoops... I tried their Vegan (cashew & coconut milk) Peanut butter & Chocolate single scoop in a cone. The chocolate flavour was great, I could slightly taste the coconutty milk base, and I loved the peanut butter chunks. //THE GOOD// -VEGAN, NUT-FREE, & GLUTEN-FREE options ! They even list the type of plant-based milk they use for the particular flavour. -interesting pint-only flavours (but unable to try them, boo!) -friendly and fast ice cream scoopers/cashier //THE NOT-SO GOOD// -little selection (only 8 flavours) for scoops -$4.50 for 1 scoop is pricey when the scoop is sloppy (not packed well) and slightly small in comparison to other artisan ice cream places I've tried... -the free waffle cone tasted very commercially made with how thick & hard it was //FINAL VERDICT// I won't be returning for their scooped ice cream unless their scooping improves. I will however consider coming back for their pint flavours (:

Great location and customer service…read more Scones: Decent. A little sweet (which I like), served with whipped cream and strawberry jam. Fruit: The fruit was the best part of all our meals here. It was so fresh and sweet, which I thought would be difficult to find outside of California! I also enjoyed it with cottage cheese, which is not so common at breakfast spots in California unfortunately. Tea: The tea is enjoyable but pretty average when compared to bougier tea spots like The Bruce in Stratford. It's not clear how long I should let it steep for for optimal flavor. I preferred the Winter Dream green tea, which was warm and cozy, slightly sweet. I also preferred the McCrae over the Boathouse blend. The Boathouse blend was a little basic for me, and the McCrae had a slight sweetness that I enjoyed. High Tea: Average - a good price and pleasant experience, especially if the weather is nice enough to eat outside (and catch a bald eagle flying by!). My favorite dessert was the carrot cake cupcake. Ice Cream: Yes, ice cream and tea is definitely a good idea! The banana cream pie tastes like your classic Runts banana flavor (the original banana that got wiped out) and the black cherry has plenty of big cherry pieces. Great servings, and we loved that they served them in reusable bowls instead of disposable ones. Would definitely come again!

There are a lot of wonderful shops, and it's very walkable. We stopped in this story, which is nominally an olive oil and herbs shop, but because it was summertime and it is hot, I suspect they decided to diversify, and they also have some ice cream. It was good, but not jump-out-of-your-skin wonderful. The counter was a little disorganized for checking out, but it seems like it would be a better place to visit for olive oil purposes.

I was here on a walking culinary tour…read more The tour met at our first stop where we were introduced to Harisson, our fabulous tour guide. The Village Olive Grove is a gourmet extra virgin olive oil and vinegar shop that imports from all over the world. There we learned how to tell if extra virgin olive oil is authentic and how it's made. We also learned how to taste vinegar without the acidic flavour getting in the way. Just when you think you're a foodie, you learn something new! Love it! Last, but not least, we sampled Mapleton's Organic Ice Cream. It was flavoured with dandelion. It had a mild mocha flavour. Pretty good! We all looked worried when he said it was made with dandelion, but were all impressed. The owner is very knowledgeable and will allow you to sample any oil or vinegar in the store. The prices are higher than grocery stores, but you're here for the quality and you will definitely get it!
