SciFit is an excellent place to learn about weight loss from an educational standpoint. In my opinion, when you are aware of the HOW and WHY your body responds to the food you eat, you are more prone to make better choices to illicit consistent weight loss over time. I made a decision to lose weight and resolved that I needed professional help because I wanted to look good but more importantly, establish a healthy lifestyle.
I searched for programs that offered at least 3 months, max $2500, weekly consultations, and no supplements. SciFit was the only program I found that met all my criteria. My consultation appointment was with Dr. Bryce in late April. He's a very very straightforward guy and keeps it very very real with you. For me, this is exactly what I needed to propel me into the mental state required in order to be successful. Because I was SO serious about losing weight, Dr. Bryce explicitly stated "if I go to any other place, I will not lose weight." He made it very clear that he could help me IF I followed my plan and his instructions, I would see the results I desired. I committed the same day as my consultation because I already told myself "I'm losing the weight," I just needed someone to genuinely show that they could and wanted to help. Dr. Bryce knows what he is doing and has excellent foresight on the projected direction of your weight loss based on the results he sees each week.
The other and arguably FUN part of this dynamic team is Angela. She is the person that helped me explore my diet in a way that would satisfy my tastebuds but not hinder my weight loss success. It's because of her that I got to eat Angie's Boom Chicka Popcorn EVERY single night! She also is the one that takes a look into your daily activity to see how your lifestyle could be affecting your overall health. This was particularly helpful because it brought to my attention on how the little things I do or don't do impact my choices throughout the day. For example, one week I was going several hours between meals and I was experiencing headaches but didn't know why. So the next week I made sure I didn't do that and as a result, my exercise activity increased. Angela is also just a really sweet person and gives you just the right amount of positive reinforcement you need to tackle the next week.
My favorite part at SciFit are the 3D Body Scans which is a digital body scanner that records your weight, measurements, body rating and so much more. This is an effective tool for you to have a complete overview of how your body is changing. I spent a lot of time comparing my scans and it's exciting to see the results in more ways than one. It definitely boosted my confidence and pushed me to want to do better before my next scan.
I started the program on May 4, 2021 and my program will end on August 10, 2021. My first scan weighed me at 231 and as of July 16, 2021 I scanned at 215.8. I am extremely satisfied with the progress I've made because I have the knowledge and confidence to continue my weight loss journey to reach my goal weight range of 170-180.
