The time you spend with us will not be wasted! If we are not a good match, we will point you in the right direction."* Unfortunately, that was not our experience at all. Rick Huff, the owner, came to our home on January 3rd to address a leak in our kitchen ceiling. He diagnosed it as a broken valve in our fire sprinkler system and repaired it in less than 30 minutes. We paid $640 for the repair, and he cashed the check the same day. Three days later, the leak started again in the exact same spot. I immediately reached out via text asking him to come back and fix the issue since it clearly wasn't repaired correctly the first time. He did not respond. My husband called him and was told he was "busy that week." On January 10th, I followed up again and was told, "I'm not sure and will text when we are available." After another week with no resolution (and having to keep the water turned off to our entire fire sprinkler system), I offered multiple appointment options to make it easy. His response? "You can hire any number of companies to repair." After that, he stopped responding to texts and emails. I even requested a refund so we could hire someone else, and received no reply. A company that claims to fix things "right the first time" but won't stand behind their work when it fails days later is not professional or trustworthy. Very disappointing experience.

I tried those battery powered video doorbells, and they worked well but the batteries would always run out when I was out of town or at work, making the camera feature useless. Battery powered doorbells suck, and they are not a permanent solution for anyone. Great for an apartment, but terrible for a house that you actually own. I also already had a Simplisafe home security system, and I wanted to add the Simplisafe Video Doorbell Pro to the rest of my security system. Unfortunately the Video Doorbell Pro has to be wired, and is designed to only be used in a pre-existing doorbell system. I didn't realize how complicated a doorbell system was until I started doing the research. Trust me, even as a decent home handyman, or tech industry guy you're not ready for this one. There's lots of in wall wiring, and crawling around in the attic and things that can permanently damage your home if you mess it up. Hire a professional. I started looking for work estimates via a Yelp project search and eventually came across Dmitri and the team from North West Alarms. I got many estimates, and North West Alarms wasn't the cheapest or the most expensive, somewhere in the middle. North West Alarms had very high ratings, but I chose them because the way Dmitri asked the correct questions in the beginning gave me a lot of high hopes for their competence to do the job right the first time. I decided to give them a try and I was not disappointed. Dmitri and his electrician Vitaly arrived on time, early actually. They did a great job installing my Simplisafe Video Doorbell Pro, Defiant 16v 30a transformer, and Defiant doorbell chime. There is an issue with the Simplisafe video doorbell and most chimes, make sure to call Simplisafe customer service before your install and request a free " Doorbell chime connector" which will resolve any weird issues you might have with your chime. No joke, installing a doorbell is a lot of work, i'm glad I didn't try and do this one myself. Dmitri and Vitaly offered a service and results that are as good as anyone can possibly hope for, and I would highly recommend them if you need electrical work done. They did the job right the first time, and that's the highest compliment I can ever give to a business. 5 stars.

HAZARD. Dangerous undersized wires!…read more Electrical work not done to code, and no permits were pulled. Refused to bring work up to code when code violations were identified . This company installed a 60amp circuit for an EV charger using a 8 awg which way too small. This is a dangerous code violation. This company is cuts corners and lies about installing the proper wire sizes. Please inspect any work you have had done by north west alarms for potentially dangerous violations. Violations: 1.) Installing a NM-B 8/3 (8awg) wire too small for the 60amp breaker used, the wire is only rated for 40amps. This creates fire hazard. ( code section NEC Table 310.15(B)(16)). 8awg wire is NOT acceptable for a 60 amp breaker in a residential install. 2.) Using NM-B interior only rated wire an exterior conduit ( code section NEC 300.9)
