I never heard back and called another company for a quote as I don't think that hiring someone you have to chase down to do work is reliable. Almost a year later, I start getting phone calls and text messages demanding payment for work, threatening to show up at my door and asking when I am going to be home to collect payment. I had completely forgotten who this even was because it has been so long. I asked what work they had done and what I was supposed to "pay" for. I asked them to please mail me a bill as I also thought this was a phone scam. They said I needed to pay for the mold inspection report and then also said there was no mold. I had never received a report, I had never received a bill, and asked for them to mail me the "bill" with the report so that I can actually see and receive what I am being charged for and so I knew this was in fact a legitimate company and isn't a scam as the phone number texting me was unknown and I had never communicated with that number. They texted me a file that I could not open and so I asked again for them to mail me a bill and stated that I would like the report they said they are charging me for. A month goes by and I still have not received the report in the mail and they start texting again demanding payment for something I never received. I ask again for them to send me the report, they state that they mailed it with the bill which they absolutely did not. I had received a one page bill with no inspection report. I asked again for a copy as when you are asking for hundreds of dollars for something, you should actually get it before payment especially when the company has been this terrible, lying about mailing a report and never even giving me a call after they come out until a year later demanding money for something I never got. In the end they ended up texting me pictures of a report. I would never hire this company due to their horrible customer service, lying about mailing a report, and never following up about the work, but a year later text demands for money for a report they never even printed out for me. They stated they e-mailed it to my e-mail, but I had nothing in my e-mail and if it went to spam it deletes after 30 days, hence why I asked for a copy. Asking them to actually just send a copy in the mail was too much work for them and never happened, but they still charged me hundreds of dollars for the report.

His bid was competitive, and he was able to offer suggestions and ideas that we hadn't thought of or didn't know were feasible. The initial timeline was several months out, but Rob remained in contact and was able to move us up on the calendar. The project was completed at the quoted price, plus a couple of scope additions we requested. Work took a little longer than expected, likely due to modifications needed to bring our aging home up to standard, and the perfection of our tile work; Rob does things the right way, and uses great subcontractors. The end result is beautiful. The bathroom remodel was completed so perfectly that we now see flaws in our guest bathroom which was remodeled 3 years ago by a different contractor. Our master suite has transformed from the worst part of our home to our personal sanctuary. I would not hesitate to hire Rob Tol Construction again. Everything adjacent to the work areas was wrapped and the floors protected. Rob and his helper were meticulous about checking all the new fittings for leaks and repaired damage from a pre-existing leak from an upstairs bathroom. Rob's original estimate was accurate and the only extras were things I asked for in the course of the job. Now that the job has been done a while I am completely satisfied.
