This facility is devoted to treating and rehabilitating patients who need to recover from injuries,…read moresurgeries, and/or muscle atrophies. I was sent here by an occupational injury doctor to help improve movement and swelling in my hand. There are various treatment rooms that have physical therapy specifics. And I was sent to the Hand Therapy Department. My assigned therapist was Freeman Wong who took his job seriously. Detailed measurements and strength readings are taken of the injury sites for future reference when comparisons are made during the healing process. Then we begin the session by placing my hand inside a machine containing ground corn husks that swirl around by a heated fan. 15 minutes of hand exercises through the hot cornmeal. This actually helped quite a bit at getting my hand to loosen up and feel less painful! Then the therapist does some pretty tough manipulations of my stiff, injured index finger. We go through numerous exercises of different positions and angles. Followed by vigorous scar management. This consists of using a piece of rigid rubber like material called a "Dycem". This little pad sticks to your skin just enough to allow an application of firm pressure for tugging and rotating the tissues in a circular or back & forth motion. The idea is to keep scars from permanently adhering at the injury site. Can be a painful process, but makes sense if scaring is of concern. An ultrasonic machine is used after wards that produces a mild tingling sensation to the muscles in an effort to improve healing. Of course, continuing the exercises at home on a daily basis is necessary towards a speedy recovery also. Needless to say, I was impressed by the concern and professionalism given to me during my sessions. I found out how important physical therapy is to anyone with an injury or movement difficulties. This place is a little hard to find if you are not familiar with all the groupings of medical buildings in the area. The address says Frank Richardson Court, but it isn't really a public street. It is actually within the parking lot. There are some small street signs in the parking facility that just says "Richardson". Once you see it, then you eventually find the location.

I started PT for hip aches and pains that wouldn't go away and just kinda lingered. I worked with Glenn to address these pains and also strengthen the area. He was sure to challenge me and made sure I pushed myself but always ensured it was done safely and not something that would aggravate the issue more. When I injured my ankle (unrelated) during our time together he also helped me with some strengthening exercises for that. Glenn not only helped me rehab my hip but also provided lots of laughs and fun conversation along the way. I'm thinking about signing up for my first 50k and I wouldn't have had the confidence to do so if my hip was still bothering me... thankfully not only did the PT help, but it armed me with a exercises and movements to help the area stay strong.

I can't adequately express just how good this SNF is. If you want exceptional care from a team of people who go the extra step to insure the well-being, comfort, and progress of your loved one, this where they have to be. There are no exceptions to that. You must get them admitted here. The entire staff are kind, friendly, competent, professional, and, in my opinon, without peer in this area. If you have the need and they have the space, you take it. You don't think about it, you take it immediately... because that space will be gone in a Hollywood minute. The physical plant is modern, bright, airy, super-clean, and never once had that stale "SNF smell." The director of nursing, Fedilyn and the clinical nurse manager Karren will see to your loved one's every need... no exceptions. Yolanda will make admission and move-in totally stressless. When your loved one is ready for discharge, Bethany will handle everything for you. Sean and his PT staff are well-trained, patient, and totally supportive. The nursing staff is terrific as are the nurse-assistants. When you need something in the middle of the night, someone is there for you. If there is a need to be transported to a facility for a quick scan or x-ray or doctor visit, their vans are modern and their drivers are safe and personable (ask for Manny!) They have wonderful activities during the week with an ice cream social on Friday. But if your loved one wants to just stay in the room and read, that is fine too... there is no pressure to do anything... except recover. Every SNF should be as good as Advanced. None are. If you or your loved one needs rehab... this is the place.

I am fed up with doctors that think they can boss their patients around! When he works for Advanced he doesn't represent Sutter. He just happens to work for Sutter and Advanced. The real truth emerges. As a result of the fluid restrictions and simply awful food I lost a significant amount of weight. At Sutter Roseville Medical Center, the 2nd rehab facility I resided in and the assisted living facility I currently live at I was never subjected to fluid restrictions! On 7/10/26 I received an completely unwanted phone call from the administrator of this dump of a facility! That's the reason for the 1-star rating. Case closed forever.

My mother-in-law was admitted here following an ER visit at Kaiser for recovery from a UTI, as she…read morewas experiencing instability with walking. The staff took excellent care of her--carefully monitoring her condition, administering medications, and supporting her recovery. Notably, she did not experience any falls during her stay, which was a significant relief given that she had fallen on her very first day at a previous skilled nursing facility. The reason I am giving four stars instead of five is due to a lack of communication after admission. Neither my husband nor I were contacted regarding her condition, diagnosis, care plan, goals, or discharge planning. It wasn't until I visited the facility in person four days later and requested to speak with someone that we received this information. My mother-in-law did mention that the care environment felt very constant, saying, "They never leave you alone--up at 5:30 for medications, bright lights, no privacy." However, I reassured her that the staff was being attentive and doing their job to support her recovery. By the fourth day, her infection had cleared, and she had regained independence in getting to and from the bathroom without incontinence issues. According to the discharge planner, she was also able to walk 175 feet with a walker under supervision. Special recognition goes to Sondra, the discharge planner, who was incredibly efficient. She coordinated the physician's discharge orders, medication reconciliation, and completed the necessary 602 forms for her return to assisted living--all by 2:55 PM on the same day I met her. We arranged private medical transportation, and my mother-in-law was comfortably settled back into her own bed by 6:15 PM that evening. Overall, we are grateful for the quality of care she received, with the main area for improvement being communication with family members.

My father was brought there from the hospital around 4pm one day after having a stroke. They told my mother they would find rails for the bed and it ends up they never did. He would constantly try to get out of bed to use the bathroom even though he had a catheter. He was extremely confused and needed monitoring. Well at 11 pm that evening I got a call that my dad had pulled his catheter out and they were taking him to ER. I waited for my father at the hospital and once I saw him his hands were covered in dry blood and said he needed help and no one would come. He couldn't remember anything else but I assume the process of ripping the catheter out and tearing the lining of his body sent I'm into a state of shock. When I called them once I was at the hospital the man gave the phone to what I guess would be his care taker and she seemed panicked pretty much saying she didn't know what happened. That was the beginning of the downfall. Sepsis. Infection. This place is awful. My father is now dead. No stars but it wouldn't post unless I put one.

Case Manager Reymond E. has been outstanding getting everything completed in a timely manner. Every time I have a question or a concern, he has been there and has fixed it. 3. I cannot remember everyone's name on the second floor. This is about the day and night shifts every Nurse, PCT, all support staff at nurses' station and housekeeping. They are friendly, kind, will do everything that you need with a smile (even if they are not assigned to you or your floor). The staff is very professional you should be very pleased that they are working for a great company. If I ever have to go to rehab, I will defiantly come back here. 4. Dani M. has the best PT, OT and staff. I have been in quite a few rehab centers (in/outpatient) and by all means you have the best. She is doing an outstanding job. I saw the sign outside her door (come on in and chat which I did) when I was walking by with Hannah and Dani was great. 5. Edward S. definitely knows what he is doing. He evaluated me and did an outstanding job. He also listened to my concerns and came up with a plan of attack. His knowledge of the muscles and nerves helped me a lot to get where I need to be. The stuff he has given me helped me more than the OT person I had when I had my stroke. He also has the respect of everyone on the therapy floor, if they have any questions, I have seen them go the Edward and he will an something and they go back to their patient. Edward needs to be in a management position. 6. Hannah G. physical therapy knowledge is above all PT persons I have had the privilege of working with. She has a great sense of humor. I had a problem when exercising, I would hold my breath. She kept saying to me breathe, breathe, those words are stuck in my brain and will never go away and I watching you. She is the only one that made me rest in between tasks the proper amount of time required. I have seen her work with other patients, and you can tell she really cares about them and all patients. She even gave me exercise to complete at home. She is a great asset to your rehab facility you can not ever let her leave. 7. Having to stay a few extra days was what I needed thanks to Edward and Hannah I have continued the exercise that they have taught me. 8. My only negative thing I have is you TV channels, they don't match what your channel lineup has. I can only watch channels 2-34. Channels 35-52 did not work. 9. You have an outstanding facility, what would make even better is after I left inpatient care, is to come back as an outpatient to contain with PT/OT care.

Sacramento rehab sent my dad to an ER to sit for 24 hours as an out so they didn't have to care for…read morehim anymore. Because of infections that happened during my dad's stay they sent him away so they wouldn't have to be responsible for him. This facility doesn't want to care for or help patients that may require extra support and more tailored therapies. The nursing staff acts in a way that is unbecoming of the nursing profession. They have laughed at, made fun of, and rolled their eyes when asked for help with my dad. I came in multiple times to find my dad sitting in his own filth in tears that nobody would help him. Sitting in wheelchairs that were too short so his legs were jammed into his chest, left there unable to move in excruciating pain. Having nurses laugh at patients, drag their feet to offer hands on care, and leaving patients filthy and unable to move directly violates ethics standards set out by the Nursing Practice Act. Professional conduct should uphold patients dignity and show compassion not demean people who have gone through life changing health issues. The therapist for the most part are kind and caring. Though there are a few who have no business working with people in this type of environment (I'm looking at you Jeff). The rehabilitation aspect is the only thing I trust this facility with which is why my dad had a family member there nearly 24:7. My sister stayed over night three nights a week. The one star is for them and nobody else! Case managers are not communicative and unavailable the majority of the time. Perhaps other people have better reviews and experiences because they are not seeing the type of care their loved ones are getting. all I can tell you is be present and do not trust that these people are properly caring for those you love. If your loved one had a stroke and can't speak clearly, walk, or take care of themselves do not leave them alone here. A shiny new facility is a great distraction for the patient neglect that is happening when you aren't looking.

I have lived with a horrible painful pinched nerve & muscle between my hip and leg for 5 years. Because I hurt so bad I would walk with a limp and my left knee would swell because of all the imbalance. Even after drs, X-rays, meds for pains, chiropractor and 2 other physical therapy companies. I could not get better. In fact I was getting worse every year. So after being referred to UC Davis sports medicine. The Dr told me he would send me to Kimes " they will get you better!" I got a referral with Dr. Julia Wright in August. Well its been 2 1/2 month. I saw Julia once a week, plus I did the recommended therapy at home. Not easy and painful, but I am now pain free and able to walk in 3" heals or sleep on my side. What a relief. Thank you Dr Julia & Thank you Kimes. I appreciate all your knowledge. Most of all, thanks for believing me, my everyday became so difficult to endure with the never ending pain. Sincerely Jeannette
