He communicated with me directly at every step, which is more than I can say for our landlord! When he and his crew showed up to begin work, we didn't know they were coming - so all of our stuff was still on the old balcony and the lanai underneath. No complaints from them, they just started moving everything. From start to finish, I could see the quality of their work (I actually have some construction experience). They were polite, respectful, and along with the solid construction, cleaned up after themselves when finished. I didn't pay for the new balcony, so I have no idea of the cost, but I would certainly hire these folks myself if I needed a deck or other such work.

Tim (the owner) & Ethan (Tim's son & apprentice) were prompt & were at my home when they said they would be, cut out the ceiling drywall, located the leak & clamped it for the plumber to repair the next day. A few days after the water damage dried, Frank was back for repairs. There were 4 sizeable holes in my ceiling as the origin of leakage was difficult to locate. Frank arrived at 9:30 & worked non-stop until 6:00. He covered everything with plastic & sealed the damage area from the rest of my condo. Tarps were laid over all my floors & when he was done, he cleaned up all the horrible mess (& I mean horrible!) before he left. The only thing I had to do was Swiffer a few items & run the vacuum to remove a few tiny pieces of debris. He even cleaned my kitchen sink! What service! PLUS he was the most polite, friendly & happiest worker & invited me to review his work several times to get my feedback. The other leak damage was repaired by Tim & Ethan who completed the job in 3 hours. They repaired the hole in my bathroom, replaced my ceiling vent fan & repainted the ceiling & wall. Excellent job, totally invisible seams & the paint match was spot on! I couldn't even tell that there was ever any damage. And Tim was a constant amusement the entire time! He kept me well entertained! I could have him back again & again as he makes inconvenient, messy repairs an unexpected pleasure. Plus they cleaned up all the mess & even took out my garbage. Great service from a great bunch of guys! Good people, honest, great work ethics & amusing to boot. You can't go wrong.

I attempted to follow up by both phone and text and was simply ignored. I completely understand if a company decides they don't want to take on a particular job, but a simple response saying, "Unfortunately, we're unable to assist with this project" would have been sufficient. What I find unprofessional is requesting information from a potential customer and then choosing not to respond at all, even after multiple attempts to follow up. Customers shouldn't have to chase a business just to find out whether they intend to take the job. I would have had no issue with them declining the work. My issue is entirely with the lack of communication and basic courtesy. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company if timely and professional communication is important to you.

Window Replacement Project: Historic Row-Home, Baltimore, MD…read more *NOTE: If you don't want to read the entire review, know this about our experience with Jeff (JSH) 1. Fair Pricing- we did our research 2. Knowledgeable & Skilled 3. Communicative 4. Prompt, Clean, & Respectful of our home & of us 5. Authentically nice guy, a pleasure to work with We decided to have the windows in our historic HOA row-home in Baltimore in replaced September of 2025. It was a project that we took very seriously as our neighborhood requires strict guidelines to any exterior alterations. We did much research, vetting many window companies and installers. When we let go of the idea of a turnkey supplier/installer we agreed that our best option was to purchase Marvin Windows from local long-time Hardware and supply store, National Lumber. National Lumber does not necessarily recommend contractors but they gave us three numbers. We called all three and JSH was quick to respond and come out. Jeff was knowledgeable about the historic guidelines that needed to be worked within. He asked the National Lumber sales rep to meet at our house so that they could discuss the best way to ensure a successful install, and they measured the windows together so there would be no confusion in translating to an order submittal. This was just the beginning of the process before we even solidified the working relationship. Moving forward, we explained that communication was important to us, we are very flexible and forgiving as long as we are in the know. Jeff assured us that he would be in contact with updates and plan for the following day, every day he was on the job. He was true to his word. After we made our decision the windows were ordered. They arrived and Jeff began installing them in February 2026. He worked with just one helper and finished the job within a week. They were meticulous about removal of the old windows so that we could donate them for reuse, and just as careful to install the new windows so that they would provide maximum life and benefit for our home. Beyond that, they were clean and respectful of our home. It could not have been a better experience. Best we've had with any contractor. So much so that we were already setting the hook for him to renovate our kitchen as soon as we are able! He was very receptive to helping us through that project when the time comes, that time is coming soon, so stay tuned for an updated review!

After having the deck replaced at my home, my mother wanted to have her old deck replaced. Since…read moreher deck was not elevated, I recommended looking into concrete or stone. I had followed Montana Concrete Pro on Facebook and loved their work. When I suggested looking into them, she insisted it would be too expensive, but we called to get a quote just to see. Ahmad came out and we explained that we were in the beginning stages and weren't really sure what we were looking for (concrete, decorative concrete or pavers). We saw other project that had sitting walls and firepits, but weren't really sure what we wanted. Ahmad was very understanding and transparent. He worked up a quote for each style and gave us pricing guidelines on added features (sitting wall, firepits, etc). He spent a few minutes explaining the benefits of each style. We let him know we'd have to talk things over and we'd get back to him. We did call two other companies to get prices Montana Concrete was similarly priced to one and more affordable to another. We chose Montana and Ahmad because they were more responsive, professional and transparent during the estimate process. We worked with Ahmad to create a final design, price quote and schedule the job. Because it was busy season (mid-June) we would have to wait until the first week in August. Two weeks later we got a call from Ahmad explaining they had another job in the area next week and he'd like to do our job at the same time since his crew would be in the area. We agreed and the job started the following week. The job was originally planned to take 5-7 working days, but there were a few minor delays due to rain and extreme heat. Even with the delays the job was completed in 8 working days. Ahmad was responsive and transparent about the delays. The finished product is amazing. Montana Concrete came back numerous times after the patio was complete to reseed grass, clean spots from the pavers and remove excess materials. They made sure we were satisfied in every way possible. My mother has received so many compliments from friends, family and neighbors. One neighbor commented that it looked like "something out of a magazine." I would recommend Montana Concrete to anyone.
