She set the tone with understanding my issue, having me send some pictures beforehand to ensure the service appointment would go smoothly, and sending a followup text confirming the time and date of the appointment. Mark showed up on time, was friendly and respectful of keeping everything clean, and did a great job. A true professional. I needed to get a plastic valve replaced for my water line going into my fridge. Not only did Mark take care of that, he noticed my pressure regulating valve was leaking, he happened to have the part on hand, and took care of that for me as well at no additional labor charge. Mark fixed our leaky garden faucet, which needed to be fixed from the crawl space. He replaced the faucet and also cleared our garden drain which was clogged from pine leaves, all under 1.5 hours. The last month has been an adventure in Why-Did-I-Ever-Become-A-Homeowner? As it pertains to plumbing: the washer leaked, but the shutoff valves didn't work, nor did the inside whole house cutoff. I called Hagee, who sent out a young guy. Although he was amiable, the two trips to Home Depot for parts set my spider sense tingling about his experience-level. The following day, I was drying out the water damage in the crawlspace, I noticed the pressure regulator was corroded and had a small drip. Repairing it wasn't urgent, so I asked around and was enthusiastically recommended Schuerman Plumbing. I scheduled an appointment for the following week. In the interim, I discovered the whole house cutoff Hagee replaced was leaking. The young guy had bolstered a weld with plumber's putty(!) To their credit, Hagee sent him back the following afternoon and mostly fixed it. There was still a minuscule drip - not enough to get alarmed at, but an indication that maybe I needed to find an experienced plumber. Jim and Mark Schuerman came out and replaced the regulator. While setting up lights for them in the crawlspace, I asked them for an opinion on the cutoff. In the walkaround, we also noticed a minor sewage leak. Argh. It required parts they didn't have available, so they suggested I set up another appointment and he would make a parts list. In the meantime, I could put a bucket under the leak. (I also wrapped it with electrical tape.) They came today, fixing both issues very efficiently. The work looks very solid, too. read more

I highly recommend Schuerman Plumbing! I am not one who writes a lot of reviews, but this was such a positive experience that I feel compelled to do so, especially since I relied heavily on other people's reviews when looking for a plumber. We realized we had a pipe leak on Jan 1 evening, a Saturday. Called multiple places. Due to some luck, Mark Schuerman was able to fit us in on Sunday for which I am so grateful. He even showed up 30 minutes early! He had to dig to find the leak underground in cold weather, so it was not an easy job. Even with the weekend surcharge, the repair cost was much more reasonable than what other people were telling me to expect from other plumbing companies. He was mindful of the cost with the weekend surcharge and gave us the option of delaying the fix for the low water pressure until another time or fixing it then. We chose to have him fix it then and it was a lot quicker than he estimated. He was also especially considerate in masking up when he saw that we had young guests in the open garage which he had to enter to check on the house water valve. I can't say enough good things about our experience with him! If we need a plumber again, he will be our first choice! I found him to be trustworthy, professional, and knowledgeable. read more

I was so disappointed in our experience with Schuerman. It all seemed fine until the master bathroom shower was completely done, tiled, grouted, and dry. Then we went in to try out the shower controls and discovered the system had been installed backwards, with the controls moving to the left to control the right-side showerhead and moving to the right to control the left-side showerhead. We were so upset! I called Schuerman and they completely ignored me. My contractor said he would handle it and offered to tear out the whole shower for us, but we figured out a hack to make it workable. At no point did Schuerman ever call me, apologize, offer to make it right, or anything. Personally, I find the true measure of a company to be how they handle things when things go wrong, and this company left me cold. I honestly can't recommend a company that wouldn't at least try and reach out after something like that. read more

This family outfit is now my default-- GoTo, plumbing solution! I have two old toilets that needed to have their internals replaced and were constantly running after being flushed and really spiking my water bills. Since I didn't want to take the time to do the research on finding all the right replacement parts and doing all the work myself, I called multiple plumbing companies to help me solve the problem and no one wanted to bother! In fact, the first company came out to see what they could do and decided that they didn't want to fix anything, then charged me $48 dollars just for showing up and saying no! I was enraged. So, I started searching for other local plumbing outfits and found these guys here on Yelp and saw the great reviews and decided to give them a try and I'm sure glad I did! The nice office lady took my call (and toilet model info) and said it wouldn't be a problem and scheduled a date for them to come out after the parts had arrived--they did not charge me in advance for the parts! The plumber who came to our house (John) actually called a bit early on the scheduled date and asked if he could come a bit sooner since he was free and we said sure! He was a clean cut polite guy in his 30s and he had both toilets fixed and ready to go in under an hour! The price was completely reasonable and we were very happy with the results! Jim & Mark are the best. They are respectful, professional, honest and the best plumbers. I've used them for my personal work and on rental properties I manage. They've done everything as mundane as fixing a leaking sink hose to replacing water heaters, water heater under the kitchen sink (you should do this-- amazing) and just about everything in between. I love that they're a REAL family business (Jim's wife or daughter answers phone & schedules) and Jim & Mark do the work. They have no subs. The thing I hate about it-- there is no such thing as an appointment tomorrow (unless you get lucky and there is a cancellation.) An appointment is usually a couple of weeks out. They're on time, they keep the area clean and they are on your side. From a cost perspective, they're on par with regular plumber rates ... but they don't charge for the time they are diagnosing or writing up estimates like many other plumbers do. I've worked with them for over 10 years. I've never had a dispute with them but if I did, I'm pretty sure it would be worked out. read more
