Don't need to bore/gore you with the details, but I will say that all of my recent dental experiences have been way friendlier and less traumatic than what I can remember from my younger days visiting the dentist. I mean, did your dentist have flat screen tvs for you to watch while you got your tooth pulled? Main Street Smiles has it all. From a super friendly reception area to a charming office converted from a downtown home in main street Barrington, honestly, it feels less like going to the dentist and more like visiting a family member. For my procedures, I had Dr. Pattani, and he immediately put me at ease by confirming the procedures involved, showing me detailed images, and sharing how routine an extraction/implant procedure actually is. My endodontist mentioned that my case might be a bit more complicated, but Dr. Pattani did his due diligence, exploring, researching, and ultimately coming to his own conclusion as to what treatment/next steps were needed. Following the first major procedure, he personally checked on me several times to make sure my recovery was going well. In my case, I had very little pain and I'm eager to see the results of the implant take hold in future visits. It's all smiles for me here. And yes, those flat screen TVs are for real. If only I could schedule my cleanings on football days!

Dr. Moore and her staff are all extremely friendly and welcoming, and the office is not at all intimidating. There are TVs on the ceiling (to watch while you're reclined in the chair), video games in the waiting area, and nice smelling soap in the bathroom. Therefore you'd expect the technology to be better than it was when I was a teen. Apparently not. They refuse to continue fixing and/or replacing the retainers that are supposed to be durable. They blame it on the products they use are not strong enough and instead refer me to go to my dentist to see if they use stronger products. This was such an insult and an admission that they would not complete the task they are paid for. Do not use this Orthodontist if you have any bite issues. They cannot help you. They should not claim Orthodonture services if they cannot complete or correct standard bite issues and be able to obtain the proper products to resolve the problem.

I understand the need of a deposit but when there is genuine concern and you have to make decisions on the spot, I also think making it no refundable with prior notice is poor customer service which I expressed to them. They then sent me an email telling me "our professional bond had been broken". Very concerning for a parent looking to be more informed in making medical decisions for their child. First I felt pressured to agree, then I felt vilified for asking questions.

Either they're very bad at estimating timelines or they're not being honest up front--neither is acceptable. It also feels like unnecessary adjustments are made just to undo them at the next visit. My dentist was surprised by how uneven my daughter's teeth still are. Overall, this place feels difficult, poorly managed, and questionable. Not recommended.
