Jon was quick to respond and come out to the house to see what we needed done. Once again, we had a project with high degree of uncertainty at the beginning as far as what we would find once we started demo. This could have been a very stressful situation for us, but instead, Jon was able to calmly explain what was discovered and was quick to reassure that it wouldn't be a problem. Instead of nickel-and-diming us for every single discovery or slight change in scope, he was super fair and went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied with the finished product. Another smooth experience with Spyglass end-to-end.

I would highly recommend using Carpet Tile and Flooring Depot for installing your new, beautiful,…read morewood floors. We worked extensively with Julia in the design center in Miramar. She patiently humored us while we thought about getting carpet. Later, Tony helped us come to our senses on the advantages of hardwood floors over carpet. Julia helped us with picking hardwood samples and once we made a decision was very helpful with the financing aspect of the purchase. We bought our floors over the Labor Day weekend and we saved a lot on the holiday promotions. Tony came out to our house to measure and talked us through how the project would work. The installation team led by Arturo did an amazing job, they are artists at their craft. Arturo let us know from day to day what rooms they would work in and he and his crew worked fast and with precision. In the end Tony followed up with us to see how we liked the finished product and if we were satisfied with the work. We really love our new floors and it was great to work with the entire crew at the Carpet Tile and Flooring Center. Note: the tile work was done about 2010 by someone else, thos project was to remove the carpet and replace with wood flooring.

Candace, Trish & Shea (might be Shay???) own European Tile Art…read more Somehow my wife and I found them about 20 years ago while looking for tile we needed for a house we were building in Hawaii. Thank God we did. We had scoured every tile store in Miramar trying to find the right tile. Those stores were either too busy to take care of us or so pretentious it was nauseating trying to work with them. Somehow (I don't remember how - I think google?) we found their place, walked into their showroom and were just blown away by the selection... we did a tour by ourselves as both Candace and Trish were busy - perfect - that's what we wanted - to look first then decide if they were for us... they had it all. AND that was before ever talking to anyone. Candace finished with a client and introduced herself asking if we needed any help. We explained our project, our preferences and what we were looking for. We brought our plans with us that day and showed them to her (like we had with a dozen other stores who ignored them). When Trish was finished with her client Candace called her over and the 2 of them just went to work. Now I'm going to tell it like it is here... the 2 of them just dug in and kicked ass!!! They made recommendations, showed us product IN THE STORE - not in some damned catalog - IN THE STORE - and then gave us pricing on what we liked - they exuded enthusiasm and excitement, and it was great! We had no idea what these ladies were capable of. Our designer for the Hawaii house became too busy and couldn't do our project. Just out of random randomness we asked Trish if they knew any good designers. She said, "Oh that's what Candace and I do, of course we sell tile, but we're designers first". So we asked if they could do the design for our house. They accepted and that was it. They designed the most gorgeous home for us in paradise. We flew them out to Hawaii several times and they just took over and delivered the most gorgeous home / interior you can ever imagine. They selected super unique tile and spec'd it all out, shipped it over, then went over to inspect the install to keep the contractor honest. Once done with that, They chose the wall colors, cabinet colors and styles. They went out and shopped virtually every store on the big Island for furniture, artwork, plants, plates, dishes, you name it - they did it. Furniture they couldn't find, they had made on the mainland and had it shipped out. Right now you're thinking, "Yeah but how much did that cost?" I'll tell you it was FAR more cost effective than us trying to do it - and their result was absolutely top notch. They delivered a masterpiece. We have now used them on every project we encounter. Well over 6 projects and they have always performed far above expectations. I cannot recommend them enough. If you are having problems and want them to go away, use Candace, Trish & Shea. If you want the ultimate top quality and want a fair price Use Candace, Trish & Shea. We have never been disappointed, you won't be either.

Then when they did put in the order, I was told that they would be available for pick up 'on Friday after noon'. Funny thing though, no one there thought to warn me that the store isn't open on Fridays without an appointment. I had the tile mason all ready to install on Saturday. Inconvenient? Certainly. Maddening? Given that I made my way through Friday afternoon traffic to get there only to find the store shuttered, Understandable! UPDATE: After submitting this review, I got a call from the owner, and she very sincerely apologized for the problem, and offered to deliver the tiles today. Very satisfied with this conclusion.

I'm originally from Chicago and have done 3 large remodel jobs and they are never without problems…read moreor delays. So when I started my remodel in San Diego, I was expecting the worst. I met with Jeff and Jimbo as well as two other builders. I didn't choose Rockstar because they seemed to good to be true, price wise and everything they claimed they could do. Turns out my first choice fell through because they didn't want to provide me with Lien releases. So I decided to give Rockstar a try. I gotta say I was very happy with their work and how they got the job done on time. In addition, all their promises were not empty words and they delivered on everything. We added things along the way too and the finish date was still close to what was promised. At any rate, they did a great job and we had a lot of work done- complete kitchen, both bathrooms as well as other jobs throughout the house. I was also surprised at many of the decorative suggestions made by the owner Jeff. Nine times out of 10 he was right. The other times my wife was :-) What impressed me most was how they stand by their work. Most contractors are gone once the job is over and good luck getting something fixed if it goes wrong, because things always go wrong. What separate's a good contractor from a great one is how they handle mistakes. Rockstar made some mistakes but they didn't argue or try to make excuses. They corrected it and moved on and didn't find a way to make us pay. For instance, we had a small leak (emphasize small) under two different sinks on two different occasion's- AFTER the job was done. Not only did Jeff return my call, they were back at my house within a 1/2 hour to fix it. Good luck finding that anywhere else. They also didn't "nickel and dime" us on small changes or small fixes that came up along the way during our job. If you are having trouble deciding on who to choose as your general contractor, I would definitely recommend Rockstar to anyone! I don't have any pictures to post of the work because we are not finished decorating or furnishing but I will in the future.
