The accommodations, while retro, were quite nice - our bed was more comfortable than the bed we had the night before in a premium hotel chain. Coffee service, snacks, and a local phone are provided in a shared lounge. Central heat/air was perfect, and our shower was amazing - very hot and high pressure! We would definitely stay here again.

The entrance and the hallways are filled with local historical photos, news clippings & ephemera, antiques, old farming equipment, classic cars, and tons of other things to look at. The llamas outside are a certainly a unique feature, and are quite endearing to watch. The rooms are very comfortable, many with lovely balconies and views of the lake. Those that look out to the back of the property offer an occasional glimpse of the llamas grazing on the land surrounding the hotel. Linens and towels are always top notch and freshly laundered. Occasionally I have had small issues with noise from neighbouring rooms, but usually when families with children are staying in them. Normally I sleep well and am not disturbed by other customers. The breakfast has been really well done the times when I have been there. A great selection of standard hot and cold items. Copious amounts of tea and coffee. I can't recommend it highly enough if you're coming to the area and want a great hotel without the crazy price tag that some local resorts might charge.

Never been here before. The first thing I noticed about this hotel were the cute statues on the driveway. The front desk attendant was friendly and kind. We are diamond members, so she have is waters and a choice of snacks. They also had fresh made cookies in the lobby and hit coffee and tea! Each room has a cute little balcony outside with chairs. I walked onto the balcony, and I was greeted with a most beautiful view of a fog covered mountain with a lake in front! ! I had to take away one star because they don't put hair conditioner in the rooms! By the time yiuvreslize there isn't any, you're already in the shower. This decision obviously wasn't made by a woman with long hair. So sadly, I couldn't wash my hair for fear of not being able to comb through it after.

The thoughtful touches in our suite were numerous! Wether it was a sound machine, NetFlix on the television or board games on the shelf everything seemed to be carefully planned and followed through. This building in 1986 was once a grocery store & barroom. Then the Obey River Inn opened in 1996. Rachel & Alex bought it in 2020 and personally did the majority of the renovations! Did our research between hotels with independent reviews and decided on this Hampton. Got on Hilton App and made reservation with our pet traveling with us. Online check-in and electronic room key was a breeze. GPS sent us in the wrong direction so had to call front desk for clarity. FYI, property is on west side of hwy75. Once at hotel there were plenty of luggage carts and parking. Our room was clean and good size with a nice size bathroom including hairdryer and extra towels. Our room included a king size bed which was comfortable, had a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, closet, coat hooks, good size television, dresser, desk & chair, side chair with side table. I do enjoy the 24hr. coffee in lobby with flavored creamer. There is an indoor pool which looked clean but did not have time to enjoy. The breakfast was your typical Hampton self serve with cheese omelet, sausage or bacon, our morning had country potatoes, oatmeal, some breads, waffle maker with toppings, variety of juices and cold cereals. That's I'm placing the close to my cell phone or mobile device of some kind!! I literally held them in my hand, and placed them in the glovebox of the car!!! They came to clean the room, but left us no toilet paper. Now if I want TP, I have to walk down to reception and get some!!! Lady, I gotta poop! I ain't got time to walk down there and get it!!
