pubic hair on soap and was all over bathroom

This place is filthy. The old woman at reception smelled like booze and seemed on the verge of falling asleep halfway through checking me in. I know opiates are bad in this part of the country but this was just ridiculous. She made a very inappropriate comment about coming to visit me in my room after her shift was over. Needless to say I left. AVOID

Room was very clean when I arrived! The front desk staff was very friendly! The only place I will stay when I come to Somerset, KY.

I just had the best experience staying here earlier this year. Wonderful staff, and the rooms were so clean and nice. Highly recommend.

Only pleasant thing I have to say about this place is that it was convenient and allowed dogs…read more All of the interior side paneling is warped from water damage, place smelled extremely musty upon entry, shower curtain had black mold growing all over the inside, none of the interior doors shut all the way- there wasn't even a door for the BATHROOM. None of the rooms had a ceiling fan; thankfully the AC was pumping otherwise it would've been extremely stuffy. The whole cabin was pretty nasty. I was very worried that we were going to get bed bugs or some other kind of vermin. The restaurant in the marina: Sorrento's, was not great. Not really what you'd expect for a marina restaurant. Kind of upscale and a weird blend of Hispanic and Italian food. The steak sandwich was not good. Very fatty and chewy. The facilities team at Lee's Ford was lovely. Other boaters were very rude. I can understand how locals are not huge fans of tourists, but we had run-ins with 2 local families who were particularly nasty. Overall, not a great experience. Do not recommend you to stay here. Spend a little bit more money and stay in nicer accommodations. This place is falling apart

If we aren't on the lake they have a pool that is very relaxing!!! Would highly recommend Lee's Ford for anyone planning a vacation on the water!!! The oar house has great food and all the staff are so helpful and friendly!!!

Okay, I don't enjoy having to write a bad review; but, WOW does this place deserve one…read more It was definitely cheap, (fifty something dollars a night). So, of course, it won't be the best hotel ever. I get that, but this place seems so run down. First and foremost, it seems that someone had busted our door in and broke the frame. So, I did not feel safe at all. (If the staff is reading this, PLEASE fix any doors that are broken like this. Our door didn't even close fully). Our curtain wouldn't close without pulling so hard you think you're going to rip it down. Three of our four lamps did not work. The toilet was temperamental and did NOT want to flush, and the shower wouldn't drain. There were cracks everywhere in the bathroom, and nothing seemed clean. I thought I would be fine walking barefoot from the bed to the toilet, but that ended up turning the bottom of my feet black. Go figure. There are a few nice things here, though! I can't say it's all awful. The front desk staff are polite, so sorry if this review hurts you. You were great. The pool and hot tub were relaxing. The pillows were nice, and we had a tv with plenty of channels. There was free wi-fi, our room had a nice color scheme, there's a microwave and refrigerator, and the air conditioner kept the room cool. However, I would not recommend you stay here unless it is a last resort or you are running low on cash.

The night shift front desk woman on Memorial Day was like a beacon in the night; talk about…read moresouthern hospitality. She really won us over with her witty charm. She hooked us up with a room right next to the pool and even gave us the lowdown on the best continental breakfast in town. This motel will be on every road trip's itinerary from now on!
