Can't reserve spots. It's a first come first serve. No need to stop in the office. Drive around,…read morepick a spot and Paul will come around and check you in. Good luck finding a halfway level spot. We were lucky and it wasn't busy so we got a nice wide spot near the bathrooms and showers and laundry. In the main area. ( full hookup by office) there is no sewer connections and no cable. Could only get 3 off channels. We are here "off season" and the restaurant doesn't open until May 2. It's quite a walk down the pier to the store and restaurant. There are cabins on other side of marina from Rv sites. Plenty of ramps to put boat in water. There is not a lot of signage where to go so got to ask many questions instead of someone explaining things to you. Prices are cheap right now. Average of $29 per night.

With several campground options in the Lake Cumberland area, I think I found my favorite…read more Initially, I had planned on staying at Falls Creek Camp Ground which was just a few miles up the road, but after I discovered Conley Bottom was almost the same rate AND CB has full hookups, I made a last minute route here. When we pulled in, it was about to storm and almost dark. We were greeted at the store which was apparently closed. The gentleman explained that he would just come by in the morning to collect the due. He also said that there isn't any pre-booking available, everything is walk up only. Right now the rate in the first RV area is $24 per night. The rate increases for the season on 5/20/17. The second area RV section doesn't include sewer hook ups and is $4 cheaper. The second area is where the playground and dock access that leads to the marina is and seemed to currently be more popular than the first area. The views from both sections overlook the marina and beautifully picturesque. They have several large, pull through sites. We stayed in site L which was the closest one to the lake. None of the sites have lake access, but the marina is within a few minutes walk. A very important and possible deal breaker for anyone concerned about the drive there is that it is a narrow road and if you're heading in late when the boats are headed home, they take up most of the road and you practically have to pull off to allow them to pass.

McDermit RV Park - 3 large sites and tiny cabin. Backs up to lake.

Beautiful, tiny and fairly new RV Campground. Clean, new bathrooms and showers, ice available,…read morekayaks to rent. The full hookup spaces were a really nice size and all backed up to wooded areas. There are 8 full hookup sites in a row that have new fire rings, newly graded gravel, picnic tables. Then 3 full hookup sites that back up to trees and overlook the lake, not visible when trees are full. But you can hear the waterfall close by. There is a walking trail to the waterfall but we weren't able to because of the storms the night before. Then there are 3 or 4 primitive sites that are well maintained. Also one tiny cabin with a queen bed, kitchenette, small sitting area, a full bath and a very small loft for 2 kids. Nice big porch. The owner lives on site and is easily available for questions or problems. The prices are more than fair. There is no direct access to the lake, but the marina is only a two mile drive away. The resident dog is very friendly, but he's a big dog and leaves big presents on the grounds so you have to watch where you step in the grass. Don't reserve site #9 if you need 50amp. The website says it is 30/50, but when we got there we were told that it is the only site with only a 30amp. We had already backed in and started setting up, so we just stayed and used 30Amp. Even our receipt said 50amp. We had storms the last two nights and weathered them with no trouble, but lost power at midnight the second night and never did regain it. The whole county lost water so almost all the restaurants in town were closed due to no water. And of course, it was Memorial Day weekend. We had plenty of our own bottled water for drinking and would have stayed our final night but with no power, there was no air conditioning. It was cool outside, but not in the camper. Sitting outside wasn't an option since the owner had to have a generator running for his needs and it was just too loud for us to stay. Mark, the owner, did make the husband a large cup of coffee the last morning since we didn't have power. It was greatly appreciated! All in all, we would come back. It was small. Out of the way. Well tended and maintained. We were lucky in that other campers had cancelled due to the weather forecast, so we shared the campground with one other couple for 2 nights and had the place to ourselves the final night. That spoiled us! But we would definitely go back. Note: The entrance road to the campground has 2 extremely steep hills with sharp turns that you can't see. Seasoned RVers should have no problem, but newbies or underpowered vehicles should exercise caution. Thanks for a great weekend, Mark! We appreciated your hospitality.
