It was a last minute decision to stop in TN for one night on our way hland we were happy we picked Deep Valley. First reasons to pick this place, great prices for the amenities. If you're cost-sensitive like me, or on a budget - great place. Of all the places we stayed at for the past two years they had the best prices! Second reason to stay here, and the biggest reason, the owner treated us like family - NO BS! When I pulled-in the park, I was greeted with a smile and he called me by my name before I introduced myself. They're in the people business and they do it well!! Pete is the man who greeted me. He is smart, informative, and super helpful. Everyone who writes about this campground is because of Pete and his family - they're great people and and worth meeting.

The owners are amazing, accommodating, and kind. Pete even checks with us weekly to see if we need propane. We have bonfires and potlucks, and we all celebrated Thanksgiving together. There's a beautiful trail that leads down to a waterfall and creek directly from the property. The pool is very nice, although it's too cold to swim now. The showers are much like campground showers, but they're always clean and warm with great water pressure. The washers and dryers are brand new HUGE HE machines. You pay one monthly fee and wash all you want, so definitely the best value we've ever experienced in a camp. The clubhouse is available at all times with pool, air hockey, foosball, games, puzzles...anything you'd really like to do. The camp itself is small and private and in the deep country. Very quiet. You will not ever experience similarities to a large, commercialized campground, so please do not arrive with those expectations. Come here if you enjoy the freedom to have campfires, hiking in your own backyard, and a family-like atmosphere. The owners are always here, it's safe, and it's close to Dale Hollow Lake, Standing Stone State Park, and many other attractions nearby. The electric is 30-amp, but we have had no issue with this. Pete lends you an adapter, as well as a cord to keep your waterlines insulated, then he coaches you on how to conserve electric. We've gone over a few times, and you simply walk down and flip a breaker. No issues at all. The WiFi is FANTASTIC. I work full-time from home online, so this is a MUST for me, and it has not failed us. What I love most is the horseshoe shape of the common grounds. You can see the swing set and pavilion from any site. My kids can safely play here, and the teenagers have been "hanging out" like they would with school friends. Lots of places here for them to socialize without being too close to campers (or bothersome). And they love children here, so it's a wonderful family camp. It's just an overall great camp filled with gracious people, nature, and heart. We love it here and will always come back when we're in this area. It breaks my heart to see only the negative Yelp review sponsored here because our family, as well as everyone else here and anyone who has arrived since, have experienced the total opposite of what this person reported. What a charming cafe with a wooded camp area in Cookeville TN…read more We stumbled upon this little store after a visit to Cummins Falls State Park. We were famished after our hike. They offer a small selection of sandwiches including turkey, ham, bbq and pulled pork. We ordered the turkey and pulled pork and took them outside to eat at one of their picnic tables. It's a very relaxing environment, especially on a cool day. The ice cream is excellent, sold by the scoop. The young ladies behind the counter were very pleasant. A great find our next TN adventure!

3 1/2 stars... we just stayed there last week for 5 days…read more *The good: 1) Sites for our RV are good sized and Nicely spaced. 2) It is convenient to the falls 3) The camp store had good ice cream and gifts of which we bought a fair amount. 4) The young lady running the office was nice. The Camp Host Lisa was terrific . *Not so good: 1) The promise of free WiFi was nonexistent! ZIP ZERO NADA! Avoid Site 4 if you want WiFi. Even when we had no 'neighbors' on either side, nothing! I would get a bar, BUT... a minute later it was GONE. Not any 5G either just LTE and no WiFi. I was advised by Lisa to turn off my phone, restart.... Nope not better. Tried several other things with same results...nothing. I wasted a lot of my vacation time trying to connect on their WiFi. One evening I took a walk to the far end of the camp and had full bars there for wifi...go figure... According to staff our Site 4 was really close to the office, and should have good reception... nope, wrong. When I requested something of any curtesy refund I was told No. Not sure we will be back to this camp ground.

Good luck finding a halfway level spot. We were lucky and it wasn't busy so we got a nice wide spot near the bathrooms and showers and laundry. In the main area. ( full hookup by office) there is no sewer connections and no cable. Could only get 3 off channels. We are here "off season" and the restaurant doesn't open until May 2. It's quite a walk down the pier to the store and restaurant. There are cabins on other side of marina from Rv sites. Plenty of ramps to put boat in water. There is not a lot of signage where to go so got to ask many questions instead of someone explaining things to you. Prices are cheap right now. Average of $29 per night.

With several campground options in the Lake Cumberland area, I think I found my favorite…read more Initially, I had planned on staying at Falls Creek Camp Ground which was just a few miles up the road, but after I discovered Conley Bottom was almost the same rate AND CB has full hookups, I made a last minute route here. When we pulled in, it was about to storm and almost dark. We were greeted at the store which was apparently closed. The gentleman explained that he would just come by in the morning to collect the due. He also said that there isn't any pre-booking available, everything is walk up only. Right now the rate in the first RV area is $24 per night. The rate increases for the season on 5/20/17. The second area RV section doesn't include sewer hook ups and is $4 cheaper. The second area is where the playground and dock access that leads to the marina is and seemed to currently be more popular than the first area. The views from both sections overlook the marina and beautifully picturesque. They have several large, pull through sites. We stayed in site L which was the closest one to the lake. None of the sites have lake access, but the marina is within a few minutes walk. A very important and possible deal breaker for anyone concerned about the drive there is that it is a narrow road and if you're heading in late when the boats are headed home, they take up most of the road and you practically have to pull off to allow them to pass.
