We are currently traveling from Wisconsin, camping here on one of their tent sites. And let me just say, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT HERE, I don't want to leave! The staff is phenomenal. And the atmosphere is fun, rustic, and inviting. As far as the camp site go they have everything you would need, LITERALLY. You can even rent a tent. Which we did not, but they are nice, new, clean, and set up for you, if you which to go that route. Each site has a fire pit, grill, and picnic table which was a nice surprise. Their bath house is still in construction but have a conveniently located plumbed bathroom right outside the general store. Speaking of the general store, WOW! Is all I have to say. It's amazing in there. Lots of homemade goodies, cute gifts, and sovereigns, snacks and miscellaneous items you may have forgotten to pack from home. Their sandwiches and ice cream were perfect after hiking to Waterfall, conveniently located right across the road! Staff was extremely nice and helpful with recommendations for our next stop in Tennessee. And I personally LOVED how they decorated. I 100% recommend at least stopping here if you plan on going to visit the waterfall in the Blackburn Fork Creek. You will not be disappointed! read more

I'm really loath to write this review because the park will grow and sites will be at a premium but Samantha asked, so here goes. Old Mill Campground is one of those jewels you happen upon once in a blue moon. Nestled in the forest across from Cummins Falls State Park entrance, it's an old fashioned happy place. Sites are well placed with giant pull-thrus in the middle and shaded back-ins around the perimeter. All are full hookups. We stayed in #14 and enjoyed the feeling of being surrounded by forests. The small general store has drinks and souvenirs but the real draw is hand packed ice cream in great flavors. Showers are clean and good sized.  If there's one negative, it's not having a laundry. The camp is clean and well maintained, even with the small improvements currently underway.  It's obvious the family owned camp is their pride and joy and it shows. The park entrance directly across the road is a plus for those who enjoy walking trails and want to visit the Park Office/store. The falls are beautiful and for those hardy enough to hike down, well worth the effort. Cold water but a refreshing swim. I'm sure the camp will become a magnet for hikers and those wanting a relaxing few days away from city life. read more

My husband, my mother, & I brought our newly purchased pop-up camper here to try it out. The campsite was level, had plenty of room & privacy, and was very quiet & relaxing! We love this campground! The bath house was always very clean and the shower rooms were amazing! We walked the nature trail around the outside of the campground and saw two doe with their fawns! We also walked over to Cummins Falls State Park & walked to the falls overlook & toured the visitor center. The camp owner was so very nice & helpful in the camp store! She served us hand scooped ice cream & told us how she & her husband had started the campground. There are lots of great quality gifts in their including comfy shirts & Christmas tree ornaments! We will definitely be back & recommend this campground to anyone coming to this area! read more

Just spent a week at Old Mill Campground in a fifth wheel camper. The staff is friendly and the campground is very clean. Sites are spacious with easy entrance and exit. It is centrally located to many local attractions. Cummins Falls is right across the street with hiking trails and of course the best swimming hole in Tennesse. Burgess Falls is approximately 15 miles away with another breath taking beauty. Falls Creek Falls State Park is only an hours drive away with spectacular trails to hike and many water falls and cascades to visit. This does not even take into account that Center Hill Lake is 20 mins from the campground and Cordell Hull Lake and Dale Hollow Lake are also short drives. With so much so close by, its hard to get it all in during a weeks stay. This is my new Go To Campground. read more

A few months ago my boyfriend and I were traveling on a unexpected trip and hadn't planned out a place to stay or even what to do. We came across this campground unexpectedly and the staff was so welcoming and helpful. They let us know they had spaces open and talked to us about what we were doing there. Us telling them we came for the falls and were out of state, they very kindly pointed us towards the book they had of all the falls in Tennessee and told us about the best ones to visit. Each time we went into the shop we were greeted with a smile. All so helpful and all so kind, definitely going to be our go to place next time we find ourselves in Tennessee. Oct 3,2024 This campground by far exceeds all expectations. It's clean, well laid out, spacious, the bath house is exceptionally clean and modern. Folks, if you're looking for a place to call home away from home, it's here !!!! A great shout out to the staff at the General Store. You girls rock!!!! To even make this place top of the list, it's right across the entrance from Cummings Falls. If you've never been, that's an adventure, a journey, and a beautiful hike that will remind you that yes there are still places in nature that will take your breath away, while still calming your senses along the way. Then by the end of your day, head back to Old Mill Campground, and finish off on their delicious ice cream. Jp read more

This was my first camping experience in 15 or so years (since I was a kid), and honestly this camp site is a best case scenario for a not-super-outdoorsy person like myself. The bath house was super clean, the grounds were very well kept, the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating and overall it was a great experience. My only complaint is that the general store has a large speaker outside that plays 50s/60s music the entire time it's open, which is cool and I know goes along with their whole "old time" vibe, but I'm not a morning person and at 9am when it echoed through the entire camp site and our tent, I had many thoughts of smashing it lol. Other than that, 10/10 would recommend lol we loved it. read more

Wonderful RV Park. Easy to get to but big rigs coming from the East on 40 will want to take the advice on the website and go up to exit 90 to get to the park. This place is very quiet and peaceful with great shade. The pull through's are long. The sites are not exactly level front to back but leveling is not an issue. Rita was wonderful. Loved it here and we will return. Bathrooms are awesome and very clean. There are beautiful Falls, right across the road, note the observation deck is closed, due to construction and you'll have to walk down to the falls. That's at least a three hour trip so plan accordingly. read more

The Old Mill Camp is a hidden gem! I have stayed in state parks and privately owned parks, this park tops them all. The staff is friendly and helpful, the park is very clean and quiet. There is a half mile walking trail that is great for dog walking or just a walk in the woods. Directly across the road is Cummins Falls State Park which Is a bonus. We didn't use the bathhouse but we did look in them and couldn't believe how nice and clean they were. I could go on and on about The Old Mill Camp but the review would be too long. I highly recommend staying here if you like quiet, clean and nice! read more

OLD MILL CAMP, what can I say...Great RV park with pleasant and polite staff, easy online reservations, very nice bath house & well kept grounds/sites with elec/water/ sewer. OLD MILL CAMP...Great location next to Cummings Falls State Park. OLD MILL CAMP...nice short nature trail to walk dogs, quaint General Store...and icecream! OLD MILL CAMP, we'll be back & highly recommend others visit OLD MILL CAMP. While an RV park, it could use a few more restrooms around the park, but this didn't change my rating. read more

We went to the falls, very nice and well worth the hike to get there. We had planned on going on to Nashville to find a camp ground but then noticed the Old Mill campground . The check in process was easy, the staff was professional and the grounds were clean. The sites are full hook up and level gravel . The bath house is clean and welcoming , the camp is quite with large sites and lots of room . I would definitely stay here again. We were in a 40' 5th wheel traveling from Michigan to South Carolina . read more

Walk in & step back in time.......beautiful setting. After our day trip to the Falls we stopped and got ice cream that was amazing. The salty caramel was my fav. And they have ice cold soda's, great for these HOT summer days. And if you are hungry they have sandwiches they make along with chips. They have tent camping currently but in the future will have full hook up for campers. We will return here to this great atmosphere & great staff. Good down home folks, my kinda place. read more

My son and I came in from Nashville for three nights to hit all of the hikes and waterfalls that we could on the plateau. Decided to "glamp" at one of their two cottages instead of tent camping at another campground. Really glad we did! The cottage was clean and adorable. Well thought out with a fire pit and chairs, running water and electricity outside. A/C on the inside made for cool nights and days in the summer time. Shower facility was super clean and nice! read more

Friendly environment with a welcoming staff only couple miles from the Cummins Falls trail head. The store and campground are right in front of the state park sign making it extremely convenient for an overnight stay. Their ice cream is insanely good, do try it. They have everything you could possibly need for day trip to the falls including water shoes! If you plan on going to the falls buy some water shoes here! You'll thank yourself later. read more

This is a very nice spacious and quiet campground. Everyone was super friendly and they had a fantastic band called Heart and Soul that came on Saturday night. There were kids there that enjoyed hiking on the trails and just being kids. There is a playground area but no pool if your kids want to swim. There is a swimming hole at the bottom of Cummings falls that is right across the street. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will go back. read more

This was a wonderful surprise to our trip to the falls. After hiking in and around the falls we had worked up quite and appetite. The Old Mill Camp and General store had just what we needed, an absolutely amazing cold sandwich. This thing was ginormous! Loaded with flavor and stacked with all the fixins'. We just finished our stay (group of 10). This campground is amazing! They did not have the huge playground that we typically look for with kids, however, their playground was creative and kept the kid's attention for hours. They also had volleyball for our older kids. The grounds and bath house was well maintained and clean. Each lot was huge, spacious and shaded. We will definitely put this campground on our list to return to. read more

The is the cleanest and most quaint campground that we have stayed. The bathrooms are very convenient, roomy and clean. The playground is super cute. The general store was so neat and the owners were very nice. They offered great food and encouragement as we were nervous about hiking to the gorge. We stayed for our 23rd anniversary and enjoyed every minute. We look forward to bringing our grandson and visiting again soon. read more

Campground is set up well for easy rv parking. 50 amp power supply but they will loan RVs a 30 amp adapter if needed. Very clean and scenic. Staff is very helpful and store serves scooped ice cream. Public restrooms are clean and campground shows someone with a good sense of style really thought about how to take a basic campground and make your stay great. 24 hour access gate and strong WiFi . read more
