Where can I even begin to explain this slice of heaven in the woods. I went on a bachelorette trip, this was one of the brides favorite places to go.
There is a decent size parking lot (has porta-potties close by). There are 2 trails *one is a horse trail w/ small creek crossing* and the other You hike a small distance (stair/ladder involved) to get there, your going down the mtn so it's not to exhausting.
The cabins and scenery all just looks like you walked back in time. The workers are AMAZING and do a great job at what they do. Super friendly people. The place stays booked but the area is really spread out. There was maybe 2/3 families w/ small children and a group of friends as well coming from all around the world. Us girls stayed a weekend. They provided a big Breakfast, lunch (for your hike), and big dinner and boyyyyyy the food was my favorite part! I bought their cook book! They also have a little book in the dining room that other people wrote about their experiences. We hiked to the Twin Towers. (I'm personally not a hiker and I'm currently pregnant if I can do it you can too LOL) it's beautiful and historic. Definitely worth going to see, but just being at the cabin by the fire, star gazing at night, sitting in the creek is very relaxing. Definitely my place to live! But just so you know there's NO PHONE SERVICE unless you go to the twin towers. The bathrooms & showers are very Nice and Clean.
You'll also get to meet Booger, he is their mascot Dog he is super nice and down to earth. They also have 2 cats who just hang around the campsite. *this is a dog and horse friendly place* if I could show more photos I would! Thank you so much for the experience I had! We went in the summer, close to fall. Can't wait to do it in the winter or spring! read more
