Bought a preowned Subaru with 58000 miles from this dealership about 1 month ago. So after the purchase of the car, literally not even a week the car breaks down on me while I was coming back home from work. I had to get the car tow down all the way back down to the dealership. I was so disappointed that the car had broken down on me, but I was still hopeful because ralph schomp mini told me they will help me and there is a 30 day warranty saying that ralph schomp mini will cover 100% of the cost for the engine or transmission failure, and i also bought the CNA automotive preferred warranty which is the top of the line warranty through them. about a day or two later they diagnose the problem saying the engine had gave out and is blown and have tow it to Groove Subaru which was up the street. They said Subaru was going to strip down the engine and have a cna agent to come and inspect the problem. Derek, the sales associate that helped me contacted me and told me that he was going to keep in touch with me about the car. For the first week the communication was okay. but eventually I just stopped getting calls or text from him and I was pretty much cut off for a while. i tried texting and calling him as well as the dealership but no answer. So after waiting for a week, my dealership finally calls me and tells me that the car is still under a manufacture warranty through subaru so I will have to go through that instead of the CNA warranty. So I agreed and said it was fine as long as I am covered. another week goes by and lack of communication from the dealership my car is still waiting to be inspected by an agent. I am a pretty patient person but not even being able to get an answer or update can irritate me. about another week that goes by, Groove Subaru calls me and they update me and let me know what is up with the car and what will happen because apparently the guys at Ralph schomp mini service had no idea what they were doing. Groove Subaru asked if they can contact me instead of my dealership and I agreed to do so because I want to know how my car was doing. after they called me I then called my dealership and told them that groove subaru have contacted me and they will also keep me updated. So a few days later groove subaru calls me again letting me know that the manufacture warranty claim is approved and everything is good, but the thing was that I would have to pay $2200 for a brand new clutch kit including labor. Fortunately groove subaru said the engine is already taken apart and they will take the labor off and just charge me for the clutch with turn out to be $1100. It was still a lot, so I would want my warranty to cover it, but what happened after I called CNA, they wouldn't do anything for it. The top of the line warranty I bought and they couldn't do that. So now I decide to call my dealership and they wouldn't do anything even though I haven't had the car for 30 days or even drove it past 1000 miles. they told me because the clutch is a maintenence part it's my responsibility to do it. After hearing that I asked if their store manager can do something about it but same answer,No, nothing at all. They couldnt even help me out or meet me halfway or even help with a penny. So I ended up paying $1100 out of my pocket just to repair the car and get a new clutch kit. So as far as the purchase of a preowned car from ralph schomp mini, it was decent, besides going down and sending information that wasn't given to me during the time of the purchase. But as far as service and communication goes, there was not any good communication at all from schomp mini. They would not even help me with the clutch kit and same goes for my warranty. I'm ready to cancel the CNA warranty because what's the point of getting it when they wouldn't even cover something this simple. I am a Supervisor at Sams club and it is our duty to give our members 100% members satisfaction along with legendary member service. I do it everyday and I can understand the frustration when a member or associate goes through. and from the service I've got from ralph schomp mini, I did not feel like I was a valued customer even for a first time buyer. I was just blew off from them and haven't heard anything from them since. So let me ask you, are you willing to pay $1100 out of your pocket just to repair the car that broke a few days after your purchase BEFORE you even madr your first payment? Are you willing to be force to wait 3 weeks or maybe even longer without any communication and help from your dealership and your warranty you purchased? As far as Groove Subaru, they all and especially their service manager, Scott, have shown great service and worked with me through this. If I was able to go back in time, I would have just purchase my car through them instead of ralph schomp mini. I've tried writing more but yelp would not let me. read more

We purchased a $8000 Used Car. We supplied an approval letter from our credit Union and 2000 cash down. Signed paperwork on Saturday April 15th. An agreement for a draft from the credit Union would be provided no later than Friday the 21st. Monday April 17th, (yes right after the Easter weekend) they were calling threatening to repossess the car ! A draft from Credit Union was given to them by Tuesday the 18th. They still have not provided a temporary tag, and have not completed a We-Owe for a malfunctioning head light. I would NEVER purchase another car from the Schomp Organization and I recommend Firing John Costello and Lance Wischkowski for having bigger egos than common sense! Shameful! I've never experienced more consistently bad experiences from a car dealership in my entire life. Every single time I take my car in to Schomp the customer service is astonishingly bad. This time I took my car in for an oil change and a brake flush. They called me to tell me the car was done and when I went to pick it up the car wasn't ready. Not only was it not ready they realized they screwed my brakes up. They didn't even test drive the car before they called me! They sent me home with a loaner vehicle to fix their mistake. North Denver had a monumental hail storm that monday and damaged the car. I called their service department to let them know immediately, and inquired about the next course of action. They assured me I wouldn't be held responsible since it was, quote, "an act of god." When I picked my car up they still charged me for the brake flush that inevitably screwed up my brakes. This particular service tech was not sure how to handle the hail damaged car and his manager was in a meeting. He took my contact information and assured me he would reach out with how they were going to proceed with the hail damaged car. I never heard from this manager and two days later found out that they went ahead and claimed it on my insurance. I have tried calling this manager and left messages and he has not returned my calls. They sent the "loaner agreement" to my insurance company, and the agreement didn't even have my signature on it. They are treating me as if I intentionally damaged their vehicle. These dealerships have insurance for these exact scenarios. Not only did they lie to me about their course of action they are deliberately avoiding me. The only reason I had the vehicle was due to their service departments incompetence. While my car was in their care there was a recall on my vehicle that may warrant a new engine due to the damage caused by the faulty drive shaft. They told me there was no damage, but based on their history of incompetence and lack of communication, how could I trust their assessment of my engine? Seems to me that they are trying to limit their cost at the expense of their customer base. Schomp mini cooper has no integrity and I will NEVER buy a mini cooper again. read more

I 100% recommend Schomp Mini to everyone I know. This is by far the most pleasant, professional dealership and repair shop I've ever been to. I absolutely adore my Mini but it has had some mechanical issues in the last year, and I wouldn't trust anyone but the Schomp Mini repair team to take care of it. Brady especially always makes sure that I am taken care of - he will even go to bat for me against my extended warranty company (which I naively purchased online and who are completely horrible about covering anything that they should). He also makes sure to keep in touch with me on a consistent basis when my car is in the shop to make sure I know exactly what's going on and to reassure me that everything will be ok with my baby. Honestly, everyone there is amazing and helpful. They never make me feel like some dumb girl for coming in because my car is making a rattling noise, but always take me seriously. They even give you a free loaner to use for as long as your car is there, who else does that? I will never go anywhere else as long as these guys are around. read more

Don't take your MINI here. Schomp Mini is has the worse customer service ever. I had my Countryman towed there because it was not starting. Upon the arrival to Schomp the personal had the mini drop in the middle of a lane of cars for sale. This was where her car remained for 1pm til 3pm, in that time the only thing said to my wife was we get to it as soon as we can. No, customer care was taken to see my wife's concerns or to even inquirer about what was going on with her mini. For 2 hours no one look at the mini, no one talk to her, no one did anything to help the situation. I drove to see if I could help my wife with a spare set of keys/fob to the mini. The mini start right up. We walk in grab our keys and left. Now, you might think how rude of us to just leave. But no was concerned even a little that we just walked in and grab our keys, we made no scene, no yelling or anything. Also no one stopped us to see what was the matter. Because I can only presume they didn't care. This was not our first experience at a Mini dealer we have had service in Loveland, CO and in Las Vegas, NV both of those dealerships have and had the best customer service ever. They showed concern, they were informative, they did everything to make my wife feel comfortable that her vehicle would be taken care of. Schomp Mini did none of these things. A simple preliminary check of her vehicle would have at the least informed the service staff that the problem was simply the key fob. But no one cared, no took time in the span of 2 hours to check on her or the mini. We will never be going back to this dealership. We love the service we receive from Mini of Loveland and will drive the extra miles to see that our care and us are taken care of. read more

We were offered to test drive a mini first off since I had never driven one. They were wonderful with letting us take the car and take our time with it. I went in December to trade my 2008 mini in for a 2013 that I saw online. After exchanging emails with Nick Goulet I drove down to do a test drive. Nick set everything up and took great care of me. I dropped my car off for an oil change to check out 2 issues (A/C was not blowing very cold air and the AUX jack did not work). I was told it would be an hour or two and was told I would be called once it was ready. 6 hours later when I called them to figure out what was going on, I was told they needed it overnight. Turned out they kept it for a week with the same story of we will call you. I had to call them everyday to get status updates. They tried to charge me for replacing parts they did not have authorization to replace and getting my car back was a headache. Overall bad experience and I would not and have not gone back. I actually started taking my car all the way from Colorado Springs to Loveland in order to get it serviced because of this service department. read more

When my Mini got its nose bashed and its circulation system wiped out (while I was at a full stop, in an exit lane, on a sunny Saturday), I thought, perhaps unwisely, I should go through the insurance company of the woman who accepted liability. That took several unsatisfactory weeks, after which I started going through a comparable process with my insurance company. That took weeks more. So -- my service representative at Schomp. Joel Eady, had to stick with my and my car's problems for a very long time. He did that without complaining. Please avoid Schomp MINI when purchasing a used vehicle. Purchased a 2008 MINI Clubman on October 11. Their Multi-Point inspection somehow didn't find the scoring on the Cams that made the vehicle really loud after leaving the lot and worse the piece of metal stuck in the oil dip stick tube indicating severe engine issues. Both were identified in a 30 min Firestone inspection. Their staff was nice when I returned the vehicle. They refused to attempt to fix the vehicle. They tried to show me two other vehicles but they were not available to test. But even worse, it is now over a week since I have returned the vehicle and I finally received my down payment on the 19th, but I still have not received the payment for the purchase of my trade-in. They wanted to give me the trade in back, but it was across town and they couldn't find the key. So, I just wanted what they were going to give me for it. I left several messages to speak with managers and accounts payable and they would not return my calls. It was not until I was insistent to speak with a manager on the phone that I finally got to talk to someone. Schomp MINI could send me overnight documents to sign that they didn't think to do when I was there, however they could return my down payment faster than a week (which was not a check so they didn't need to wait for it to clear). I hope this post is seen by the owner and head managers. I am very interested in any response from Schomp as I plan to respond to any comments that are posted. read more

If you are a sucker, or like being lied to...Ralph Schomp Honda is for you! My husband and I have had the absolute worst experience at this terrible dealership! We were meeting there as I had to wake up the baby I watch during the day. First my husband gets there had to actually go up to some one, and ask for help. Which is strange for a dealership, as every single dealership I have ever gone to they come up to you and ask if you need assistance. Well I went to the wrong building not realizing they have different buildings. Not one person came up to ask if I needed any help. I sit down on the couch, an wait 5 more minutes...still not one person came up to me. I go walk around the lot still no one. I get to the second building, still no one ask if I need help. I wonder a bit then notice a 3rd building. So I wonder down to that building. 2 employees were talking outside, and neither asked if I need help, nor do they offer to even open the door for me. (Keep in mind I am carrying the baby.) I wonder in that building for 5 minutes same story...no one asks if I need help! Finally my husband calls to tell me where he is, and he finally found some one to help him. I meet Jason, and all that was exchanged was a hello. No ,Can I get you a glass of water? (keep in mind it s 80 degrees outside), No, Why don t you wait inside while we take this for a test drive , nothing. So I go in the building to get out of the heat, and see if there is some water. STILL NOT ONE PERSON ASKS IF i NEED HELP! The lady at the front desk acted as if I was not even there! She offered everyone else that came in a drink, but me the only person who has a child with them!! That is not even the half of the problems at Ralph Schomp! My husband gets back from the test drive, and tells me that the price they have advertised on their website, cragislist, and auto trader was the wrong model type, so the price was going to be more expensive! SO THEY EXPECT THE CUSTOMER TO PAY FOR THEIR MISTAKE! My husband had to leave to go to work, so now it was just me dealing with them...you could tell they didn t want anything to do with me!!! We were trying to trade my car in, so we have them do an evaluation, and the manager Kyle comes back saying that because the air conditioner was broken the car is only worth $1,400. The air conditioner alone would cost them $2,000 just to fix it! No it won t I say....I had previously gotten an estimate to fix it...$600-$700 to fix it, not the $2,000 they are trying to tell us it would take to fix it! oh well arr errr....Bunch of B.S Kyle was trying to tell me. The car they were trying to sell is also $2000-$3000 dollars more then blue book and Edmonds....So they don t have dealer fees and they don t do this fee or that fee...THEY JUST RAISE THE PRICE OF THE CAR TO COVER ALL THESE FEES!! So they expect the customer to not know that the prices are far off the blue book vale, and they expect you to pay for their mistakes! I left. Have not ever been treated so badly by a car place in all of my years!! Jason called my husband to say oh your trade in was only worth $1000! What a bunch of lies! Kyle handed me a paper saying it was worth $1,400! now it s down to $1000!!! I wrote to them and the Manager Scott writes back oh sorry for your experience...And the one thing he kept mentioning was their 10 foot rule (If your an employee you must say hello to any customer with in 10 feet of them) I dont really care about that honestly! What we care about is the false advertising of the vehicle price, the $2,00-$3,00 over the blue book value, the fact you lied to my face when talking of the cost of fixing the air conditioner, and calling my husband back lying again about how much our trade in is worth...Then Scott calling my husband again thinking $100 more towards the trade in value was worth all the poor treatment, and rudeness of these Schomp employees!! In 2005, my family and I purchased a used 2003 Mini Cooper from Ralph Schomp MINI. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. They walked us through all of the papers that we signed the day we bought the used MINI. The day we went to pick up the car, one of the mechanics walked us through the controls and what everything did. Fast forward to 2011. The used MINI was in an auto accident and was totaled. Because we had a positive experience the first time, we decided to go back to Ralph Schomp and get another Mini Cooper. We looked around and found the car we wanted, a new 2011 MINI. We test drove the car and bought it that day. As my family and I signed the paper work, the person who assisted us explained to us what papers we were signing and what they were for. On the day we picked up the car, we sat with a mechanic who showed us all of the controls and explained what everything did. I am glad that the mechanic went over the new MINI with us because there are quite a number of controls that are different on the 2011 MINI that did not exist on the used MINI we had before. If I had the money to go back and get another MINI Cooper, I would. I highly recommend Ralph Schomp MINI. read more

I recently had my car serviced at Ralph Schomp Mini after experiencing issues related to my high pressure fuel pump. The biggest challenge anyone faces when going to the dealer with a warranty concern is the burden of proof. In this case the car was stumbling during cold starts and after fueling up and on previous visits to the mechanic it was stated that the issue would need to be replicated in order to address the repair under the extended warranty. For 2 weeks I kept a video diary of issues faced when attempting to cold start the car and returned to Schomp with my concerns. I was met by Brady, one of the service advisors who, instead of challenging my approach, he took the time to review the videos and subsequent receipts of collateral work performed on the car recently which I felt supported the bad fuel pump theory, this before he took the time to work through the possible scenarios before his team began to tear down the car and diagnose the root cause. When Brady noted my address in the Springs, he offered to have the car delivered to me and to have the rental returned on my behalf if it would help with my schedule. For the next couple of days, Brady contacted me with updates to their findings and when it was determined to be a faulty HPFP, Brady explained the repair and provided me with an ETA for completion and progress reports from the service bay. When the job carried over into the holiday, Brady stayed late to ensure the staff remained vigilant on my car to ensure work was completed in the window he had provided to me. Brady is the definition of a consumate professional and when I had all but lost faith in the auto service industry, Brady restored it with his dedication and doggedness in resolving every one of my concerns. I bought a mini s cooper as a second car. I went to Schomp because I bought a Honda from them years ago and it was a pleasant experience. You would think my experience would be the same. First off I got the car and service hasn't been performed on it because as soon as I got it home the service light come on and the brakes and oil needed to be changed. I took it back the next day and they did the service. Cool, that is the only good thing I can say which is worth one star. In their advertisements they say 1 year Sirius service, I asked about it and now after 3 months it's over. My salesman Jake said he had ordered me a new key because the one I got was crap and tapped together. I called him a few times a week later when the key should have come in with no response. I went to get my tags 45 days later and they hadn't submitted the paperwork. Now having the car a little over 3 months I'm getting a warning lights saying failed electronic systems. I haven't gotten my tags yet and already have issues with this car. Top it off after I bought the car I received several letters from offer financial institutions saying they would have financed the car for $2000 less. They want you to finance the car through BMW financial so they can charge more. I'm taking it back to them to see if their going to fix it or let me trade it for something that dependable. Never again........Purchased a used car on a Wednesday , sales rep pushed every expensive warranty available. Had the car 1 day, driver side door froze shut, unable to open from inside or outside. Sales rep and svc tech picked up car 2 days later, Called next day just before closing saying it was ready. unable to get to location before closing. Called Monday to verify ready for pick up. Sales manager checked car, door does not work, states will have it checked again and will call next day. NO CALL RETURNED, called General Manager - he states Sales manager has Tuesdays off.......said he will get to the bottom of issue and call back, DOES NOT CALL BACK, instead has original sales rep call me, rep gets upset that I called manager and I should have picked up car, states "we had an agreement". advised rep of car not ready. later on Tuesday evening from Svc Manager, he states "I don't know why the door does not work" states he checked latch and electric parts of locks - "should work" I advised the latch assembly was only 13.95 online (my cost) and the entire electric lock assembly was only 97.95 online (my cost) ...why not just replace the bad parts!!!! Svc manager states will check. Advised my wife of situation, she no longer wants this unsafe car they are trying to "Band-Aid" back together. Called to request refund on Wednesday morning 1 week after purchase....and door still not resolved. Sales manager agrees to refund, GOOD JOB....Svc manager gets on phone and reprimands me for not taking the car, state " if I knew you did not want the car I would have not ordered the parts to fix it!" THIS IS APPAULING - Sales manager gets back online and states they sell some cars as is.......but did not tell me of the issues??? They said they will resell to someone else. AS IS,........UNSAFE ......UNABLE TO HAVE RELIABLE DRIVER DOOR....SHAME ON THE RALPH SHOMP TEAM.......EVERYTHING YOU DON'T WANT IN A DEALER IS HERE!!!.........GOT MY REFUND AND WILL NEVER RETURN!!! read more

Service is terrible, I had my mini in for a check engine light, nothing wrong they tell me but that will be 100 dollars, then my mini was never cleaned, no loner available, it took them 4 hours to figure there was nothing wrong with it, while I sat and waited, recently I took my mini to be assessed for flood damage, they called to ask when I would be by to collect my personal items and sign a release since my mini was totaled. I told them tomorrow. I arrived the next day only to find out the auction house had already picked up my car and taken it to their lot. I asked why I wasn't called, they(Renee) responded with that was your insurance company's responsibility. I asked wasn't a release necessary and she threw her hands in the air and said it was out of their hands. When I asked who and where did my car go to, she said she didn't know and I needed to contact my insurance agent. For all the people out there thinking of either buying a car or getting service done there... you might want to drive the extra miles up to loveland mini. avoid this dealer at all costs. read more

Rating is zero. This is the worst experience I have ever had. I am 78 years old and a "car guy". This past 12 months I bought 5 cars and sold 3. In all my years I have never dealt with a more ego driven incompetent staff. Starting with the sales associate up to and including the General Manager. My car arrived with dead batteries and no "keyless entry" even though that feature was listed on the vehicle description. When I brought this to their attention I was told it was my fault for not knowing the difference between a "comfort package" and "key less entry". This is a difference only Mini and BMW seem to make. All other manufactures interpret keyless as meaning you only have to have the key fob on your person to electronically lock and unlock doors. In spite of this I tried to resolve the issue in a fair manner. I found another car near them that had this feature and suggested they buy it from the dealer and sell it to me. They agreed to do this. Then things continued to go downhill first with them telling me it wasn't Certified when in fact the dealer selling the car said it was. This problem led them to hold up the transaction while they tried to get it Certified, which was a simply matter of a phone call to the area Mini representative. Once this was done I asked for my share of the cost to get the new car and return the old. For two days I have waited, even though one day ago I got a call from a transport company telling me they were ready to pick up the car at the dealership and deliver it to me. I asked the cost of transport and they told me. When I mentioned this to one of the sales managers I am now working with he continued to claim they did not have a cost and would be getting back to me. I then said why don't we just deal in percentages, ie you will pay x % and I will pay y% that way we can wrap this up. He did not want to do this so I am still waiting. Over a week to handle something that should have taken a few hours or day at the most. Apparently they are more concerned about a few dollars than they are taking care of a customer who has gone way beyond to help them solve a problem which they have as much responsibility for as I do. I would add that the General Manager called our home one nite at 10:30pm to basically yell at me and make claims that I was essentially the reason for all these problems and he needed to know if I was still taking the car, it was a matter of great importance that he know. I said yes, depending on what you think I should have to pay additional to transport these two cars. Some emergency, I still do not know the cost. He had no business calling our home at that hour for something that obviously could wait until the next morning. Just one very vivid example of his ego and "above it all" attitude. Never, never buy a car from these people. The outcome of this is still up in the air, not because of anything in my control. How it ends is still to be determined. But one thing is for sure. Those people report to someone and I intend to find out who that is and make sure they get this ugly story. read more

In August of this year I bought a 2009 hardtop 2 door Mini at another dealership. I decided to use Schomp as my dealership for parts and accessories. Both of my parents have purchased vehicles at Schomp over the years and they highly recommended this dealership. I had not been to the new Highlands Ranch location yet so one Saturday shortly after I got my car I rode over there on my Harley Davidson to see what it was all about. I was amazed and never have I seen so many Mini's in my life. The last Saturday of September I took my wife back there with me so she could look at all the amazing Minis. She needed a new car so we talked with them and wound up test driving a new 2016 Mini Convertible all blacked out. This car was a perfect fit for her. Automatic, but turbo with tons of features. We spent time with a sales person, but that's where a few hickups started. FYI we had to do a lease so my wife could use it for business. The monthly payments where pretty close to what we could afford but they needed a good chunk of change down. We advised we didn't want to do that so we decided to wait. The sales guy by the way was really nice, but walked away from us once we said we needed to wait and discuss. Anyway. The following Saturday we went back there because I needed a part for my car, and my wife came with. The car was still there on the lot. I discussed with my wife again. If they could waive the large down payment we could probably afford to do the deal. We talked with a sales person again, but this time it was even worse because now that it was the first day of October the discounts we where offered the week before are now gone, and nothing they could do and the sales person walked away as to blow us off once we said we can't afford the down payment. As we where at parts department we asked to speak to a Sales Manager. Once he came over we discussed our issue with him. He said to let him see what he could do. He came back about 10 or 15 minutes later with great news. Just pay the first months payment up front and they would give us the loyalty discount they said they couldn't give us anymore since a new month, and that's it. Also, the monthly payments came out to less than what he thought they would be so we had huge smiles on our faces. We wound up doing the deal, and my wife couldn't be happier with her purchase. The paperwork and getting out of the dealership took a lot longer than the 1 hour promise, but that's not the dealerships fault. It was because it took longer to get our credit run and approved. Not bad credit, but assuming since it was a Saturday afternoon. Anyway, the sales girl and manager was so nice to us upon completing our deal. My wife even went back a short time later for a Mini Genius session where they actually go through the car with you, and anytime you need help you can just go to their dealership with the car and they will answer questions for you. Prior to this deal my wife drove her same car for 17 years before it finally died. I think she really deserved to have something new and with a warranty to feel safer. So. I would have given 5 stars, except for the fact that both times we where there both sales people just simply walked away from us and left us sitting there at the sales desks both times without saying anything, or offering to get a manager involved. I think because of two reasons. The sales staff at Mini is very young and not been in the automotive sales industry very long, and it seems to my wife and I that at the Mini side it's a much different culture and seems possibly too casual on the sales side. FYI. A few weeks before we went into the mini side we went to BMW, and Honda at Schomp, and even some other dealerships to look at Audi's, Lexus, Infinity, and Maserati's and the sales staff at those dealerships seemed to have tons more sales experience. Don't get me wrong. The girl that did our deal turned out to be so nice, but I wish they had more seasoned sales staff is all. I would highly recommend this dealership to others. As a matter of fact. We showed our friend mine and my wife's Mini's mid October and bragged about Schomp, and last weekend he went to Schomp and got his own Certified Pre Owned Mini, and an ex co worker of mine went a week and a half ago to Schomp and got a Certified Preowned Countryman. it's funny because the more I show friends and family our Mini's they seem to go over to Schomp and get one. read more

I've had experience with their service dept 2 times (3 if you count when I bought the car and they "detailed" it) Both times I've had my car in their service dept were terrible. This last time is a super long story that sounds like the other 1 star reviews on here. I had zero communication from them. Every time over the 5 days they had my car, that I needed info from them, I had to call, get transferred around, end up in voicemail, call back, etc. When I finally would get a call back no one could ever tell me what was going on, or even when the parts would arrive. Which by the way, they lead me to believe that the parts were already there when I dropped my car off. Anyway, even though I paid extra for the mini maintenance package, I will be taking my car to Wal Mart from now on. That's how little I trust these guys. And the whole situation could have been avoided with transparency and diligent communication from them. read more

Can I say......Pleasantly surprised! What I expected to be a typical 'used car dealership' experience...wasn't. Intrigued by the 'no haggle' claims, I went into Ralph Schomp mini after spotting a couple of interesting vehicles online. Still braced for.and dreading a stereotypical sales pitch.... I was shocked when....... that .just didn't happen. There was a significant level of professionalism evident throughout the staff. In particular my salesman Jacob Williamson was excellent. Never pushy, just helpful with a great presence. Jacob worked with me as I evaluated and reviewed the pros and cons of the vehicle(s) I was considering. He stayed in contact with me as I spent a few days of test drives, mechanic's inspection, etc. If Jacob was away from the dealership, he made sure someone else was available to answer my questions. One other very helpful staff member was Paul Villard. I would recommend both of these salesmen. All in all, the experience was positive and I am pleased with my purchase, their process, and their fairness. OH, and I will say.... they DO take their 'no haggle' policy very seriously--but I felt they treated me fairly. read more

I stopped in today to have a roof decal applied. The customer service was fantastic from beginning to end. Here are the reasons why: 1) booking- very easy over the phone- they also were quick to offer a 'loaner' car...although I declined because I live across town and didn't want to drive back and forth 2) greeting: when I first entered- the front service person was very friendly, and offered to answer any questions I had about my new car. She also printed out the history of the car and explained all of the things I would need to know about getting serviced in the future. 3) Ending: Over the phone, I had asked for the price of the install on the roof decal. I was given a price that was significantly lower than the price that I was charged at the end of my service. This did not make me happy, and I explained the situation to Renee in the Service department. She was very professional in how she handled everything, and took down my card number- promising not to charge anything until she had spoken to her manager. I expected to just be charged the higher rate... however, a few minutes later, I received a friendly voicemail from Renee saying that they would honor the lower mis-quoted price to me. I could not have been more surprised. All I can say is, they have a customer for the life of my car! And, when it is time to get a new Mini some day...I will go with them! read more

Yesterday morning, my wife contacted Schomp via on-line chat at the website. She expressed strong interest in a particular pre-owned MINI and asked how soon we could see and test drive the car. She was told the next available appointment was the next day at noon, so we made plans to drive from Longmont to Schomp. When setting the appointment she emphasized that we were only interested in one particular car, and since Schomp is 50 miles away, we wanted to make sure that the vehicle would be there. This morning, we were told via email that the car was sold last night! Apparently, there's no coordinated communication between the on-line chat staff who set the appointments and the sales staff. If we were told that there was a risk that someone could come in yesterday and buy the car, we would have driven down to Schomp yesterday morning (I've never encountered a car lot with such a strict appt. schedule). Assuming the vehicle was OK, we would very likely have purchased it for cash yesterday. No mention was made in setting the appt of making an advance deposit. Apparently, if you have serious interest in a Schomp vehicle, you'd better show up in person, even without an appointment. Or at the very least, call the sales lot and ask more questions. Business is apparently brisk enough that potential customers should not expect attentive service. This initial experience with Schomp was so infuriating that we're not likely to shop there in the future. read more

A few months back, i bought my first car from Ralph Schomp Mini! Walking through the doors, i had the general sense of what kind of car i wanted, but didn't know where to start. Until a man named trevor introduced himself to me. Asking how my day was going right off the bat, i felt welcomed and confident that this guy could help me find my dream car! After talking for a few, trevor asked me if id like some help finding a car? I replied with yes! Searching and walking through Schomps dealership for a couple hours, i had finally found the car with every bell and whistle that i wanted! A few minutes later, i sat down with trevor as he walked me through every nick and cranny of buying a car process. I never knew it was so easy! That day, i found my dream car and even brought it home, thanks to that guy "Trevor" he really helped me through everything! And i highly urge others to go to Ralph Schomp Mini and look at buying a car whether or not its a mini, and ask for Trevor! Ps- they do sell other cars, not just minis! read more

My father purchased a 2011 MINI Cooper last year after losing his 2003 MINI in an auto accident. I was with him at the time of purchase and I was very satisfied with the whole process. The salesman who assisted us was very knowledgeable about the MINI Coopers we looked at and when it came time for my dad to buy the car, the woman who helped him with the paperwork went over the forms step-by-step and thoroughly explained what he was signing and, if he had questions, they all were answered. After the car was purchased and ready to be picked up from the dealership, the mechanic went over the controls with us and he did a great job. I felt like everything was explained in great detail and, if my father and I wanted him to repeat the function of a certain control, he did that for us, which was great. I hope, in the near future, they add new locations of Ralph Schomp MINI dealerships in the Denver metro area that service MIN Coopers, just like this location does. That would definitely be more convenient. I am very happy with Ralph Schomp MINI and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a small vehicle. read more

On Jan 11, I went in to buy a Mini Cooper Hardtop. It was a 2012 10 year anniversary edition and I was stoked because my previous car got totaled from a horrible accident. Seeing that the car was available, I went in to test drive it. In the car, there was a yellow tag about 8x11 big, saying "$1,000 off advertised price!" Excited, my parents and I decided to buy the car because I loved it, and it was going to be $1,000 off. When I went in to talk to the sales associate, he told me that it was already included in the advertised price. Which was odd, because it said "$1,000 OFF ADVERTISED PRICE" so I asked to speak with the manager and the manager was extremely rude. I had been car shopping for the last month, and never was a manager as rude as he. He was passively making fun of my mom's English accent and when I asked about the yellow tag, he said it was from a different dealership and had nothing to do with theirs. Hmmm... weird, because the sales associate told us that the dealership was already honoring the tag in their prices but now the manager says that they're not even considering it. When I told the manager that what he was saying and what the sales associate said didn't match, he said "I don't care." I repeat, he said "I DON'T CARE." Car buying should be a fun and exciting thing to do but after that conversation, my parents and I were upset. I bought the car because I was in love with the car, definitely not the customer service. If I had known how I would have been treated, I would have taken my business elsewhere. read more

I have been looking into buying a car for myself for a while now. I have been torn between Volkswagen and Mini and decided to really check out the Mini Cooper. After searching for a Mini dealership in this area for a while I finally came across Ralph Schomp Mini. I was very nervous to go in because I was anticipating a salesperson to come up to me immediately and start pushing me to buy a car, and seeing as this is my first time buying a car for myself, I really didn't want that to happen. I went to the dealership anyway and ended up talking with Bailey Denmark. She was very nice and friendly to me. She was very knowledgeable about the vehicles and all the accessories. I told her how I was still considering staying with Volkswagen and she did a very good job persuading me towards buying a Mini without being a typical pushy salesman. It was actually fun talking to her, and she was very down to earth and was very straight up with me about certain aspects of the car which I appreciated very much. I ended up not being able to afford a new Mini but in the future when I can buy a new car, I will definitely go back and talk to Bailey more because of her awesome customer service. I would recommend her to any one of my family members or friends who are looking to buy a new car! read more

I've always been interested in Mini's for some time, I finally decided to purchase one that I saw online. I called the sales dept. to talk to a representative, I was fortunate to talk to Noah Toro, who was very professional in dealing with me over the phone ( I live in Colorado Springs). I gave Noah the stock number to the Mini I saw on Schomp's website and we kept in contact about pricing and what I was able to afford, to make a long story short Noah was very instrumental on the purchasing of my Mini. Noah had the car detailed and ready to purchase when I arrived, mind you I still had to test drive the car before I made up my mind. Kudo's to Noah in having the car purchase ready and believing in the Mini, that I would have no doubt in loving this car. Thank you Noah, this saved a lot of time! I would like to note that my wife and I brought the Mini back in a week later to put a stripe on the car and our experience with Nick in the service dept. was exceptional as well! I've recently started my car search again and had called Trevor because he put up with me for a month while i was completely indecisive back in September.. I still had his number from when I talked to him back then and when I talked to him ,even though he's been out of the office, he was quick to help me by going over what was important to me. It's obvious whether he was going to make money or not he decided to take 20 minutes out of his day to explain leasing, financing and other needs of mine. I refuse to go through anyone else than Trevor. I've had multiple friends buy cars from him as well because he genuinely Cared. I need a car within the next two weeks or so and am hoping he does come back but if not he did give me the General Managers number and assured me that he'd give him all of my notes being that I am very needy and don't want to spend a ton of money... I will update this post after I buy my car but I doubt I will be disappointed ! read more
