We recently completed their parkour classes (dog sport) with our dog and it was such a great experience. It was fun but also really purposeful. My dog built confidence, learned body awareness, and we strengthened our teamwork and communication skills. I learned about patience and letting her work through obstacles at her own pace. The environment is spacious and well-structured, and the staff are knowledgeable, friendly and truly invested in you and your dog's progress - they celebrate every win, big or small. I'm really impressed with the store. They carry a great selection of dog essentials from training treats and tug toys to collars and chew toys. I've purchased two of their leather leashes - one for my dog and another as a gift. The quality and durability is outstanding. If you're looking for a training place that's as passionate about dogs as you are, McCann Dogs is the place to be! Highly recommend!

Life saver even years after lessons!…read more We used McCann dogs even during the pandemic for our first boy Winston. Because of closures and distancing we had to do some online but also were able to get some in class lessons done while things were open. We completed puppy, grade 1 and grade 2. I can't say enough for the value it has been for our pup. He is naturally a timid personality so training was even more necessary for him than maybe a more confident personality dog. The reason I now need to shout out to McCann dogs again is that our boy happened to make a mistake now 5 years later. I opened the front door to come in and even though he has done plenty of threshold training he popped out the door thinking my husband might be outside as well. I was holding a large box and did not see him slip out. I was looking around the entire house going nuts worrying where he was! Finally after about 6 minutes I thought let's open the front door cause I could not find him anywhere in the house. There he was sitting on the front lawn waiting for me to find him. We have a doorbell cam so I could then look to see what happened. He never left the property once, cars drove by he glanced at them thinking they may be my husband but he always chose to sit and wait for me instead of running off, going on the road or anything. This would have not been the result if not for our work with McCann dogs. Thank you again! P.S yes absolutely we immediately did a refresher on threshold training and not going out the door without permission. :)

I am prone to posting positive (paws-itive?) reviews, but this one is different. I can't say enough…read morewonderful things about 4 Paws. I recently adopted a rescue Bernese Mounrain Dog and at the same time had to find a new kennel. I searched exhaustively and was impressed by what I saw about 4 Paws. They offered me a tour throughout and behind the scenes of their facility, which instilled great confidence. I took my incredibly shy and anxious Berner to stay with them for a few days, which went better than I could have imagined. A month or so later, I took him back for an extended stay when I left on a longer trip. It went great, until when a few days in he unexpectedly and suddenly took ill. The best we could ultimately figure, it was pneumonia, but all they observed was he stopped eating, got even more sluggish and was running a very high temperature. They arranged to get him to a vet they recommended who was near mine, but open on weekends, and then volunteered to and spent the next five days ferrying him back and forth from their facility to the vet for tests and treatments. He recovered completely, and it was in no small measure because of the care they gave him, including trying many different food options to entice him to eat. I was helpless, far away and they stepped into my shoes as a caring owner brilliantly. I couldn't be more grateful to Kevin (the owner, who did most if not all the driving himself!) and his team, who went far, far above and beyond the call. His staff clearly love their work. Before I left him the first time, I questioned a few clients who were picking dogs up from daycare and they all raved about their experiences. Now I do too. Six stars out of five.

As infection followed injury, they questioned our decision to take the dog to the vet for treatment and questioned the treatment and then they even questioned the legality of service by our vet who prescribed antibiotics and cortisone cream. Finally, groomer hid behind her contract. She then terrorized us with a threat of a lawyer. Regretfully, it is obvious that Eden (owner?) is not taking responsibility for injury. A week after hurting our dog which is still preventing him from even normal walks due to groin infection, this groomer did not even call to ask about dog's health. Do they care about injured animal, or don't they? Should we avoid this grooming service? Oh yes, we are going to AVOID them from now on.

PetPlanet is a pet store I stumbled upon with my dog named Dude and have been a regular of for the…read morelast year, the staff in PetPlanet are extremely friendly, love animals and are very knowledgeable about various pet products. There are 3 staff that work at the Brant Street location and all of them are terrific, if you haven't experienced this store before check it out on a Friday which is the day when you get free dog treats if you bring your dog into the location with NO PURCHASE necessary. Be warned the prices on much of the products in the store are rather expensive but that is because the quality of the product is above what you will find at most locations however there are several decent products to buy which are rather cheap such as their individual cookies, pig ears and raw or baked marrow bones which are three of my dogs favorite treats. They also price match, once confirmed they will match the price of a competitor for identical items. This location also offers a full self-washing facility complete with a locking door and locking gate for their tub which is large enough to accommodate several hundred pounds of dog (it makes me 102 pound lab look small). Do yourself a favor and experience what Mike and others have to offer at this location and I'm sure you'll keep coming back specifically to say hello to them and just be in a friendly environment.

Absolutely appalling. DO NOT HIRE THIS DOG WALKER. She brought NINE dogs to the dog park today…read morewhere there is a max of TWO dogs per person. She left two unattended in the park while she walked 7 back to her car. The two dogs were an older, female Jack Russell mix with a pink harness, and a tall, black/brown hound mix (Coonhound?). The bigger dog pooped but hey - no one was around to see it or pick it up because his dog walker LEFT. I left the park because I am not comfortable being there with two unknown dogs (the JRT was pretty snarky) and I went next door to the adjoined park. She came back a few minutes later (she parked down the street) and I told her that I was appalled that she would leave two clients' dogs unattended in a park. She started yelling at me about how she will never come back to this park because it's too far from the road and not set up well. I told her that she should never leave dogs unattended in a park and she yelled again, telling me "what am I supposed to do? I can't walk all these dogs to the car together - they could get loose and hit by a car!" I'm stunned. She would rather leave your dogs unattended in a park with perfect strangers, not even knowing if the other dogs are safe/friendly. She can't handle 9 dogs because NO ONE CAN. It's not ethical. If I were a paying client, this person would be out of a job yesterday. If clients are reading this review, please cancel your service with her - she is not a safe person with whom to leave your pets. You have no idea what goes on with your dog when she has them in her "care".
