Marielouise is a regular shopper here, has her favorites on lock. Dory is her gal for makeup. By luck of the draw, I got Sage. I gave Sage event deets, showed her my fancy hat for inspo, and girl went to WERK...for almost THREE hours. Every so often, she'd ring up a customer but never left me hanging. After that visit was over, mom (and her military ID) was willing to go to the MEX (Marine Corps Exchange). It was challenging to find - even with GPS. We parked in the back, walked through the Mokapu Mall and entered from a side door. I think the main entrance is actually behind McDonald's... haha! Anyway, we finally found it and only had time to look though the women's department. I found a top for about 75 percent off! Mom found a pair of pants that she liked. I also got a Hawaiian print dress that was "regular price". On the outside, it would be really expensive. The MEX is smaller than the NEX (Navy Exchange). It looked like it had similar merchandise - except for the Marine Corps logo items! We'll probably be back to explore again. It was less crowded than the NEX!

There is actually a 'star' in almost EVERY window stating they "proudly offer a military discount". See the photo. So either stick to what the window says and stack ANY discount you offer to the general public to recognize and take care of your military ... as advertised (at an outlet...again), or put an asterisk next to the advertisement for those like Rip Curl who won't do it this because they feel the military may bankrupt them on final discounted items, Or better, just take the star out of your window and let the customers ask about your discount policy at the register. It's a very small way to "proudly" honor your active service members on 'anything' in your store...at any price.
