Tumuras deli has changed so much! They downgraded a lot with the deli in quality!!!…read more I grew up on tumuras when their musibis use to be $0.50 back in the day! They had variety musibis where they use to put tuna or ume in them which I loved eating both when my mom use to buy us for breakfast!!! Their bentos use to be very good too! I remember their rolled eggs which was my fav to eat. Over the years they added spam To it which I didn't eat because I don't eat pork anymore! Their bentos also changed too! Their chicken use to be the best on the menu now it's just a copy cat of Zippy's chicken. I don't buy their deli anymore just their poke because their poke is always better quality from other stores.

Parking is plenty and it's a local hole in the wall atmosphere. They have limited seating and most patrons had their order to go. Their workers are nice and their prices are more affordable than restaurant rates. They provided free samples of the Ahi Ninja which seemed like their most popular item. I had the Ahi Fried Garlic and Kalua Pig combo. The Ahi was tasty and the garlic was not overpowering. The Kalua was juicy and shredded well. My party of 5 agreed that they'd come back to this local find when I'm in the area.

Freshly made poke from locally sourced fish can be purchased by the pound. Many of the fruits and vegetables are locally sourced. Freshly made bento boxes offer quick meals. I picked up some chicken Masubi for breakfast. The staff was aloha friendly, we were greeted by several staff during our visits. There is plenty of parking at this location.

The service there is extremely fast for those who aren't in for a long conversation. The big thing I loved about it was that the owner. he works 7days a week 10-12 hours a day with only one meal a day this is not a over exaggeration. My family whose never had more than ten days off of work in a year for the past 25 years. He's my father. I asked my dad what makes him keep pushing on to live after each day after day without a break and his answer was "you. It's you son, your brother and mother i don't worry about as much but it's you that I know needs me the most emotionally and supportive. It's the ones that they had when I was growing up. They have all the usually departments: produce, meat, seafood, deli, bakery and floral. I did not see a pharmacy in this store. When you walk into the store, there's a huge Halloween display along with bags of candy in the front. Judging the store by itself I would have given it two stars. However, the workers were so nice and helpful. We got help in the produce department. The woman working the self checkout thanked every customer on the way out. We conversed for a bit. Sometimes, it's not just the business itself; but the people who run it. Therefore, I had to give them four stars.

They do close 2 AM to 5 AM but they open up at 5 AM which is perfect timing for us. He and I are working during the afternoon and nighttime so our schedule for grocery shopping doesn't match the usual business hours for the casual grocery stores so Safeway works for us.

I say this because upon entering it's like a food court, as first you see Teapresso Bar with full offerings of drinks you then see an insane selection of baked goods more than some small bakeries offer along with plate lunch, smoked meat, pizza and even roast pork handing under the warmer...all this before I enter the grocery sections you see graduation leis, UH merchandise and various grab and go treats as well. It's a beautiful supermarket that nice and clean very well organized with displayed items neatly placed and the vibe here is just so calm and friendly I was just very impressed with it all knowing that I can purchase items already made before entering to shop is quite deceiving and tempting but is nice to know for busy folks that they do have you covered whether you're in a rush or just need a single ingredient this is the place to go and support all things local. Thank you!

I would not recommend Times Supermarket for a poke bowl…read more The portions of both poke and rice were inconsistent, and the employees seemed unsure about how much to serve each customer. We returned our poke bowls because our portions were noticeably smaller than those given to other customers. We ultimately chose pizza instead because we were not confident we would receive a properly portioned poke bowl. Pizza was fairly priced and we enjoyed the Goomba. There is an unpleasant odor in the facility. The atmosphere was busy and casual, as expected for a supermarket, but the service at the poke counter made the experience frustrating.

They also had a really good selection of clearance and hot-and-ready food items marked down. A lot of them were under $5, which was quite the deal! I believe it's because we came in later at night, so take notes, everyone. You might find some really good markdowns if you shop later in the evening. I ended up taking home two SPAM musubis, a Zero Sugar Monster, an apron, an oven mitt, and, completely randomly, an Oreo-flavored Twix. This Foodland trip was a SUCCESS because I didn't go aisle by aisle and break the bank. I went in to grab a snack, found something cute, treated myself, and WALKED AWAY. That is growth. Also, if you're looking for cute reusable tote bags for only $1, you can find them here too! Sometimes the best Foodland trips are the quick ones where you walk out with dinner, a little treat, and something cute for yourself. Atleast that's what I'm telling myself for this trip. Foodland is the best.

Right at the entrance, they had most of the Thanksgiving essentials displayed, which was actually really cool. And of course, I had to splurge on an Oreo house-making kit just for the fun of it. They've got great holiday items right now to splurge on so buyer beware and don't spend all your money at once! All in all, I was really grateful Walmart was still open when we went. I just wish they stayed open a little longer for us late-night shoppers! Also, they have the most charming mural at the front entrance.
