Needed to find convenient and free recycling for our outdated computers, etc. Thought of doing a…read moredata wipe service and donating to charity , but the software costs money that is a bit over the top. Using off the shelf data wipe software is not an option in light of the verified instances when hackers still got through and mine financial and personal info. Found ILS and they are free for computers, etc. they take out hard drives, drill holes through them to make them unusable, and recycle all of the materials. They are friendly and helpful. They are out in Stead, which for some may be too far to drive, but securely having your electronics not end up in the land fill and your personal info being hacked is well worth your time.

It has been a long while since I last dropped off e-waste at Intelligent Lifecycle Solutions. We had lots of old electronic items to discard, from numerous cords/cables to phone equipment to our kids' very old laptops and iPad -- they took it all to be recycled. We even brought along old, broken Rock Band gaming instruments and a broken electronic drum kit and were happy that they took them! All for free! The items they do accept but charge for are TVs (now $45 each) and CRT monitors ($25 each).

I think what's really important to remember here is updating the websites when you go on to the…read morewebsite , hours, location etc etc It says it is open untill 4:15 clearly 4:15 now excited I was because all the other ones close at 4 so I hop in my car and race down there. Gas is not cheap and my time is precious just like anybody else's time. I approach the gates a tall lanky bearded quite rude man says we quit taking stuff about 3 minutes ago I look at my watch and it says 402 now last I checked on the website it said 4:15. So apparently they have no decided to close at 4:00 like all the others The one thing that separated them and put them apart from everybody that extra 15 minutes which was a side factor not just My own decision to go there but several friends and family members. I don't know bad for business . The lazy guy in charge of updating website and the tall gentleman who dismissed me so eagerly with such vigor should get together and have lunch and maybe I can save the 15 minutes had a phone call with it relative or spared the $5 in gas and maybe I could have applied to something else.
