This is a review for their outlet location located a few blocks down from the smokehouse itself…read more The outlet is located at 209 N. Railroad Street, Palmyra, PA 17078. Being from Central PA, my husband and I grew up on bologna sandwiches. When we learned we are just a 30 min drive from the outlet, we jumped in the car and drove right there! It's easy to miss as the storefront blends in with the neighbor hood. Just look for that familiar Seltzer's face logo and you'll find it! There was a fundraiser going on with a local radio station and grilled bologna sandwiches for sale outside. We enjoyed a sandwich then went in to an old timey style mom and pop shop full of t-shirt and other apparel, cups, souvenirs, and every style of bologna you could imagine for sale. They've expanded their flavors to 5 now, not just original and sweet. There's Chipotle, Double Sweet smoked, and a honey smoked flavor with free samples to try! They offer bologna bites, unique bologna jerky, bulk items and discounted misshaped slices. One of my favorites is the Dutch grillers, thick cut slices perfect for grilling and their "smoked coffee" has such a unique smoky taste I love. (No it doesn't taste like bologna but has a nice smoky aroma) They also partner and stock products from local small business which I appreciate. Every time you go in you find something new! There's also a mini museum of how they got started, their impact on PA government and history. A copy of their episode of dirty jobs plays in the background and gives a look into how the sausage is made so to speak. Overall a great place to stop if you're in the Hershey/Lebanon area, want to sample some local culture and cuisine and learn about the central PA area.

This market offers a variety of specialized vendors on two floors. It is divided between the food…read morefloor and the market. My son and I met to catch up on his adventures on the road and enjoy a sandwich together. We hit the market around 11, just as some of the vendors were switching over to lunch. We were able to sample some products while winding our way through a healthy crowd of people who would look at home in an upscale Target or antiquing in a small town on their way to their weekend lake house. By comparison, Dirk and I looked like roadies in some Viking Metal band sittingf in a corner with gyo and beef juice in our beards, but we enjoyed the experience AND the food. If you want the market, you can find curious culinary options from Nordic hot sauces [Pikku Piru] to gourmet mushrooms [Bennett Run]. Dirk chose a falafel from Grill & Gyro which was fat and delicious coming with fresh cut fries in a quantity too big to finish. I enjoyed a "Surrender the Fresh Dip" which was pricey but worth every penny for the tender, seasoned beef on a toasted roll with superb au jus. While I am used to buying my farmer's market pretzels from the Amish, I enjoyed a Foltz original pretzel, though I never understood the pairing of pretzels and lemonade so I declined that suggestion by the nice lady behind the counter. Regardless of what you crave, everyone is personable and passionate about their signature foods. They know it is a competitive market with so much to choose from, but I was happy to see so many people at various spots conducting themselves like regulars, just as happy to chat as have lunch with their favorite vendors. Parking is plentiful and the location is easily accessible just off of Chocolate Avenue It is clean and bright, inviting even in the tightly-packed center corridors that hide some of the more interesting kiosks and treats. My only complaint is the lack of seating. There's so much to choose from but not a lot of space to enjoy it. Dirk and I had to sit at a 4-seater and share with a family of 8 who packed themselves into a corner. Given that the market is only open Thursday to Saturday, plan for patience or go early for breakfast. I was able to sample some wares that were going off sale and they were delicious. I'll definitely be back.

My family and I split up to tackle the various vendors. While my family settled for sushi, Korean fried chicken wings, and bento boxes, I couldn't pass up Carmela's for a cheese steak with sharp provolone cheese and crab fries. We all shared anyway. We were so hungry I forgot to take pictures of all the other food. It was glorious. Other than the wings, all the vendors were very quick to get the orders out. There were several eating areas which was helpful because I think we got there 30 mins before the dinner rush was coming in. The vibe is very nice. I grew up going to reading terminal market in Philly so having little markets like this around is always a delight. I hope the vendors do well because there's so many other vendors I'd like to try.

They had…read morebeen here before with their 5 and 2 year olds and said it was fun for everyone so we decided to check it out. We were all so glad we did! They had tons of fun fall activities, an enormous corn maze with fun clues and a bridge, a hay bale climbing tower, a tricycle track, hay rides, bouncy rubber horses for kids to ride on, a giant pool table with soccer balls to be kicked into the corner pockets, and lots more. They also had a lovely market where they had tons of pumpkin varieties, mums of all colors, what seemed like 100 flavors of whoopie pies, cider, and tons more. Awesome day of fun for everyone!

When I heard about RMFM, we took a drive to check it out on this beautiful weekend before Halloween. First off, when we arrived around 1 p.m., it was pretty empty. It picked up when we finally left around 3, but it still wasn't all that crowded compared to most places I've visited before. Second, their Robin Hood Maze and Barnyard Fun Area Activities is a good value in my opinion compared to others. Prices are 3 and under--free, ages 4-12--$7.00, and 13 and up--$9.50. Here's what you get: *Robin Hood Maze with activity book--there are stations throughout the maze to keep it fun and exciting. *Hayride *Trike Track--This might have been the favorite for my boys. The Pedal Karts were close behind but they had less bikes so you had to wait your turn if it was busy. *Pedal Karts *Rubber Ducky Races *Corn Hole *Campfire--not sure what the purpose of this is but it's still cool! Might be nice on a cool day but today was 70° so... *Corn Sandbox *Bouncy thingys--I don't know what they call them but the boys had a lot of fun fooling around. I think what impressed me the most was how unique all of these activities were. Even my 14-year-old son was having so much fun and my youngest son didn't want to leave. Before we left, we did buy a couple of pumpkins and some whoopie pies at the store. They have quite a variety of items. If you're looking for a quieter, less expensive place to take your kids to for the fall next season, then RMFM is it! You can thank me later.
