Review #4/25 for 2025!!…read more Me and my family have travel with them for many years and they always get the job done. This is one of the few places that has daily tickets for the routes that me and my parents take. They sometimes do have summer specials but you just gotta check and call. On my post recent trip I had called to separate my ticket, I called told them what day and I told them my name. They asked what my seat options were and that's it, I asked if they take cash or card and they take both. If you pay with a card they have like a $5 fee or something but its up to you. They give you the option to separate your return ticket as well and they give you the option to pick it up from the destination you are traveling to. I think that is convenient. What I want to point out and highlight is their dedication to their customers. This happened to my mom while traveling with them. She was on the way back from Mexico to DFW when the bus she was traveling in broke down. The bus was in the mountain region probably 4 hours away from the international border. The bus driver pulled over and told the passengers the bus needed to be check by a mechanic and they should be there in about an hour, the bus broke down an hour away from the nearest city. There was no gas station around or any other businesses so the passengers could get out, it was just the dirt and the wild bushes around. After the mechanic got there they found out what was wrong and needed to go buy the repair piece, he had to travel back into the city, buy it and come back. That alone was 2 hours plus the time they had already been waiting. Now according to my mom the passengers were not told initially how long this would take, all they were told was that the company was aware and a mechanic was en route. At the end of it all my mom and the other people on the bus ended up waiting 4-5 hours to get back on the road. I know this does not always happens but it happen to my mom, that sucks. I would be pretty mad if I had to wait that long inside the bus, it would not have been that bad if they would be able to get out and hang out at the gas station but no such thing was possible. The trip my mom takes is usually 9-11 hours depending on traffic at the border crossing so adding another 5 hours on top of that was very uncomfortable. Anyways, the company decided to "compensate" the passengers with a complimentary one way trip with them anywhere they travel. Ok that's something but what got me was the passengers need to redeem this voucher within 3 months from the date issued. Come on now! Make it at least a round trip and give us 3 months or give us one way and a year! Don't get me wrong, we are grateful but the voucher I got from the airlines are good for one year. Ok so I was trying to see how my mom could use this voucher and I asked her if there was a way I could use the voucher to see my family in Mexico. Mom called the company, they said yes they could put anyone's name on the voucher for the one way trip. Great!! So I was able to use the voucher and just pay for my return ticket.

UPDATE AS OF 4/7: James did contact me on 3/29 and was very…read moresympathetic to my experience with Ad Fast Transport LLC, which he told me he would hold accountable to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. He also offered to reimburse me for my Uber expenses, which I also appreciated. Overall, the experience still wasn't the best but I can appreciate the apology and actions that came afterwards from the Car Carriage. **Full transparency: I have updated my review from two stars to four following the update.** This was my first time using an auto transport company and I decided to use the Car Carriage based on a solid review from a family friend. During my initial consultation via online system and call, the company was very responsive. James was a great help to understand what the process would be like and get an accurate look at the total costs. I also appreciated that I did not have to pay anything upfront until the car was delivered. The Car Carriage is based in Texas and they use contractors around the country to pick up your car. The contractor I used, Ad Fast Transport LLC is based in Maryland and dealing with them was the worst experience. First off, leading up to my pick-up date, I heard nothing from Ad Fast. The Car Carriage provided their contact information so I reached out and a representative named Josy picked up. Josy seemed very unorganized and unprofessional during our call and had no idea when the driver would arrive to pick up my car. This was a problem because I had a flight back to Maryland in less than four days and needed my car picked up before I left. I had to consistently call Josy to get an idea of when the driver could pick up my car. It was originally scheduled for pick up on 3/15 but it wasn't picked up until 3/17. However, this wasn't the biggest issue. The biggest issue was when I recieved a text from Josy asking me if I could meet the driver 25 minutes west from the original pickup location in a very rural area. I was very skeptical of this unprofessionalism, however, like I said before, I needed my car gone before my flight. So I agreed and drove to the location. The driver was very sweet about it all but I learned he was planning to come to the original location but was told by Josy not to. Getting back to my original location was a pain as temperatures were in the single-digits and there was no ubers or lyfts available until an hour later so I had to wait in a local motel until I could find a driver to take me home. My car was safely delivered to the contacting company but I was out $52 from the Uber and had to wait an hour in an unfamiliar part of town. When I asked Josy, how I would get home once I gave my car, her only response was "I don't know." When I reached back out to James and the Car Carriage for a response, I have yet to receive an email as of 3/24. There is no accountability and the lack of communication from all involved parties has been disheartening and frustrating to say the least. Luckily, my car was delivered safely to the listed location in a timely fashion on 3/21. However, this experience has been so traumatizing and horrific that I would not recommend the Car Carriage or any of its contractors to anyone.

DOUBLE BROKER ALERT…read more Rate did not match what customer actually had a contract with them. We verified directly with the customer at the pickup. The Car Carriage LLC refused to fix the issue and instead threatened us with negative if we didn't pick up the car, or pay $300 to avoid it. Unprofessional, dishonest, and a waste of time. Carriers beware--high risk of scam and double brokerage.
