What a great stop! When we walked in, the dining area was spotless and it smelled very clean upon entering. The employee was actively cleaning -- you could immediately tell this location takes pride in cleanliness. The bathrooms were also very clean, which always matters. She stopped what she was doing right away, greeted us kindly, and was extremely attentive. We ordered two Cinnabons to go, and she even warmed them for us. Super quick, easy stop -- we ate them in the car and they were perfect. What really stood out was the service afterward: my husband walked back in to throw away our containers, and she opened the door for him before he even reached it and offered to take the trash for him. That level of courtesy is honestly rare these days. This is the kind of customer service that's missing in so many places -- polite, thoughtful, and genuinely kind. We went through the drive through and ordered 3 sandwich meals (The Original, Turkey Original, and Turkey Bacon Club). The sandwiches were all average tasting and borderline disappointing. This was my first time visiting this location and it didn't taste anything like the Schlotzsky's I used to love. We also got an order of Cinnabon's and they were pretty good. We just love the 1/2 soup 1/2 other item choice. I always get the California chicken flatbread and it is amazing. Perfectly cooked flatbread, grilled chicken avocado and a tangy sauce. It is plenty to eat with a soup. The chicken tortilla soup or the tomato bisque are the favorites of my family. Service is always quick and the food is consistently great. We've never had a mediocre lunch here and we love being able to get something quick on Sunday. read more

I'm not exaggerating when I say my order is wrong over half the time. It's pretty amazing the consistency of getting things wrong. Wrong dressing, wrong bread, wrong substitutions, wrong sauce, no fork, missing ingredients. Tonight I wanted ranch as a side and before I pulled away I asked is the ranch in there because more times than not it's not in there. They said yes and I get home and it's not in there. The number of times they've mixed up the pizza bread and flatbread leaves me speechless. We visit Texarkana from out of state several times a year. We always look forward to having Schlotzsky's! Unfortunately, this time was an extreme disappointment! Not only had some classic items changed on the menu (which happens), but the service was awful. When I ordered the item I was told it's no longer available. No suggestions were made as alternatives or to try to help us. Just NO! After asking a lot of questions I found out that there was an item that was very similar. The entire time the you g girl was very rude. Not once did she apologize for the inconvenience and not once did she express any positivity. I ordered our sandwiches and when I got home I discovered that the bread was wrong on both orders and items were missing from the bag. Such a disappointment! We have always had such great experiences at this Schlotzsky's until now! Good employees are crucial to ALL businesses right now, especially while they are all trying to build back from the pandemic. It was a great sandwich minus the avocado I specifically told them not to put in it :( For $20 for 2 sandwiches, you'd think "no avocado" was a pretty simple change. I visited the store this evening and had to wait for a couple minutes for someone to come from the back to even know I was waiting to order. There was someone beside me who had already ordered who told me how frustrated he was because of how long he had waited for his to-go order. He said they told him they had to remake it because they made it wrong. He got his food and left and I began waiting for my order. Every worker disappeared in the back again and I had to go looking for someone after 15 minutes to ask for my food. They said the would have to "remake it". BUYER BEWARE!! If you wish to preorder online at this Schlotzsky's (or presumably any other Schlotzsky's location) you should be aware that they sleekly, slyly, sneekily, surreptitiously and otherwise without any fanfare, ADD A SERVICE FEE to your order BEFORE TAXES. Your online order receipt only shows "Estimated Taxes and Fees" with no breakdown of those until you actually pick up your order and see the extra fee on the printed receipt. Afterall, who really reads their receipts? Now .35 cents won't break me, BUT the fee should not be hidden (nor taxed) AND SHOULD CLEARLY BE DISCLAIMED ON THE ONLINE ORDERING SYSTEM! You have to dig a bit to find their explanation and the fee is to "help restaurants pay for the online ordering app and website". A delivery service fee is one thing, but to have to pay to order online, well that clearly is HORSE HOCKEY!! Schlotzsky's sandwiches aren't exactly cheap to begin with and the collection of a fee passed off unfairly and underhandedly to the unsuspecting customer base is just right down dishonest, not to mention un-Texan. When you figure the number of sandwiches sold and overhead costs, no one is going broke, so the fee becomes just added fluff in someones pocketbook. Live and learn...no more online ordering from Schlotzsky's and maybe a bit more relunctance to patronize them in the future. For what its worth.... read more

The food is amazing- the service not so much. But last Sunday I was in there eating after church and one of the managers was yelling at a customer loud enough the whole restaurant got quiet.
