Fernando and Lamont just did an incredible job of moving my incredibly heavy bed so I could put a rug underneath it. They called me when they were on their way to ask if it was ok if they came a little ahead of schedule. They were courteous, careful and got the job done efficiently. I would definitely use Schlep again based on this experience. read more

I hired Schlep to remove my bedroom furniture and drop it off at Goodwill. The scheduling process was easy. I liked that you are able to select a time and date for the service. They were very responsive in responding to my questions. I first tried using Dolly, but there was no communication at all. I felt confident with the communication from Schlep that they would be here as requested. They were on time and professional and sent me the receipt from Goodwill when they were done. I highly recommend them and would definitely use them again. read more

The Schlep team was incredible. They arrived exactly on time. They were so friendly and courteous and they worked under horrible conditions because the hallway on my floor had construction going on so they had to dodge an obstacle course. And it didn't phase them. They also were VERY careful with everything. Great guys, great service. I used Schlep a second time and they were fantastic. They have great skill is wrapping everything thing up for safe transport. Sam and Isaac were like performance artists. Best movers ever. We got stuck in an elevator and had to be rescued by Chicago Fire , but Sama nd Isaac really handled it! Hire them!' read more

They did a great job! Very friendly and easygoing. Mike and Steve were really helpful.

Living in a different state, I needed a delivery service to pick up a large, rolling tool cart I purchased at Home Depot and deliver it as a gift to my daughter. What I loved about Schlep was the excellent communication and customer service. I found them online, called and actually got to speak to a live person right away! They answered all my questions, made the process so easy and followed up quickly every time I sent a question. Great customer service and being able to speak with a live person immediately is rare these days. Many, many thanks! read more

I can't say enough great things about my experience with Schlep this weekend. I had two separate schleps- Darryl and Christian were here on Friday to move a piano and then on Saturday Darryl came back with DeJay and Wesley moved a bunch of very heavy gym equipment from someone else's house to mine. They were extremely professional, responsible and capable. There was some serious maneuvering of the equipment up a staircase, and they did it without leaving a scratch. I would recommend them to anyone and would use them again in a heartbeat. Thank you!!! read more

So easy to schedule and the delivery team (Jonathan and Fernando) were great. They took extra time to ensure my furniture piece was placed perfectly added the pads to the legs to ensure no scratches on the wood floor and the piece was balanced. Thank you! read more

In short: these guys are pros. So friendly. Always on time. So crazy strong. Super speedy. So well-organized. So efficient. Top-notch customer service. Now the long story: As a renter and then an owner of two different top-floor units in walkup buildings in Chicago, I have become well-acquainted with Schlep; I've used them 10 times since August of 2016. Today, Darryl and Adam each carried four 50-qt. bags of potting soil that weighed 50 lb. apiece up five flights of stairs to my rooftop deck. And they carried two at a time. Up 70+ stairs! And in about 5 minutes!! Mind blown. I should also note that my appointment, originally scheduled by Wade, was actually for tomorrow, but because I was able to go home a little earlier than planned today, I emailed Schelp to ask if they had any last-minute cancellations/openings, and sure enough, James worked his magic and found a way to fit me in today. Darryl and Adam were at my house in less than one hour from the time of my request. Thanks, guys! read more

Chris and Elijah were efficient, kind and helpful. They quickly maneuvered my large credenza into my apartment, and helped me get it *exactly* where I wanted. They also helped me rearrange my couch, so that the piece would fit in the living room. They were easygoing and friendly. They were mindful to wear their masks and it all took less than 15 minutes. This is the first time I've used Schlep but can't wait to call them again! read more

Just used Schlep to move several pieces of furniture to multiple locations. Communication the day of the move was great at each location. I was given their eta in advance at each location and notified upon arrival. Sam and Lamont were great and I would definitely use them again. Very professional, wrapped the furniture which I was not expecting, friendly and efficient. I will also say the customer service was outstanding. I put in the wrong information when I initiated the order and they were very understanding and accommodating to the changes I requested. read more

These guys were amazing! It was super easy to book it, I also got a booking the same day. Sam and Stacey were super professional, kind and great with the delivery! I could not ask for better service. Quick, easy, nice and efficient! I will use them again and recommend them to friends. read more

I had an amazing experience with Schlep. Sam, Kim, and Jorge were friendly, kind, and careful when delivering my couch. In addition, their communication was second to none. They texted when they were on their way, and gave me updates as they got closer. They also worked as a great team and had my couch up my 4-floor walk up in less than 15 minutes. They took the time to ask where I would like up and were very careful when moving it around to not damage the floors. I can't say enough good things about them and would highly recommend them to a friend, family member, or anyone searching for a reliable way to move. read more

Amazing experience. We picked our kids up from camp (8 hours away) and planned on vacationing for a few days. Having 4 duffles in our car for a few days would not be ideal and would gag from camp smells. So the bags were put on camp bus heading back to chicago. Schlep went to the bus,got all our bags and delivered to our garage for a very reasonable price. They had excellent communication with me that day. I've used them before around the house and I've always had excellent experiences. read more

This is the second time we have used Schlep, after having 2 bad experiences with a similar company, and I have to say that Christian and Zack were great! They got to the pick up place a bit early and made fast work of wrapping our piece of furniture, so it was protected during the move. Once they got to the drop off place they looked over the options for getting the piece up to our second floor apartment, and were able to navigate our narrow stairs and doors! They put the hutch back together and were in their way in no time at all. We will definitely use them again and appreciated the coffee that was just as I had ordered. read more

Darryl and Janna moved a couch for us today and they were 110% awesome! Friendly, hardworking & efficient. Everything you could ever want in a moving team! Highly recommend Schlep! read more

Darryl and Christian did a fantastic job removing an old refridgerator and installing a new one. The townhouse I live in had extremely narrow stairwells, and so moving a refridgerator was no small feat. They were extremely careful, patient, and professional. read more

From start to finish my Schlep delivery experience was easy and impressive. Their website is easy to maneuver and quick to schedule pick up and drop off logistics. Sam and Stefan arrived early, and called me when they were en route to my home. The drop of was so fast and they carefully placed my furniture exactly where I wanted it. Thanks Schlep read more

Used Schlep today for the first time and all I can say is awesome! Bought a table from lady in Chicago and had it picked up and delivered to Naperville. It was so easy I have few words to describe it. All I can say is if you need something moved Schlep is the way to go. read more

Sam and Stacey just left and I am more than pleased with their work and professionalism. I am preparing to paint my condo and needed the furniture moved to prep for the painters. They arrived early, but called first to make sure it wouldn't be a problem. I was very impressed. I told them where I wanted the furniture moved, but being the pros, they made suggestions that made so much more sense. When painting is done, I will be requesting Sam and Stacey specifically to move the furniture back in place. Thanks so much! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

Great service in and out! I was a bit nervous to use this service at first as I have bought a huge floor antique mirror and an antique dresser with the mirror. I was afraid that the mirror will crack. I have communicated this to Schlep rep on the phone. He totally understood my concerns and explained to me how the shcleppers work and that they bring their own packing materials and security deliver the items to my home. Customer service on the day of the delivery was great communicating on some nuances regarding my items' weight and size via the phone. Great communication skills from the drivers letting you know when they are on their way. Professional people who care about you and your items. Oh, I also found out that you can hire them to assembly any furniture you have at home ( for ex. IKEA :)))) Thank you!! Will definitely use again!!! read more

We used Schlep to move a large and heavy piece of furniture into a third-floor apartment. Darryl and Blaise were friendly, careful and professional. They did a great job with a logistically difficult move. Darryl in particular was very skilled and knowledgeable, and even gave great tips on how to safely move the piece around the apartment in the future. Would definitely recommend Schlep and will use them again! read more

Darryl and Jay were superheroes. They moved all my heaviest antique furniture without damaging a thing. Best moving team possible.

Schlep was a very easy process and the text alerts notifying me of the whereabouts of my schleppers prior to their arrival were helpful. My schleppers Paul and Eric were on time, fast, and courteous. They informed me of other businesses-like West Elm-that use their service, which saves money because the West Elm delivery service is pricier. I would use Schlep again...my only disappointment was no coffee (I was really only looking forward to the novelty because I don't need the caffeine in the evening!). UPDATE--I'm updating my rating for Schlep to 5 stars based on the kind follow up from the company noted below (and the $5 gift card!!). read more

Schlep was amazing! I purchased an ottoman from a store in downtown Chicago. The store, North Shore Exchange, highly recommended Schlep. The prices are very reasonable for what you are getting - Sam and Eddie, the two stellar schleppers, wrapped the ottoman in moving blankets and delivered it all the way to the 13th floor where I live. They were on time, professional, and even helped resecure the legs of the ottoman. Thanks Sam and Eddie - I really appreciate it! read more

Schlep was really easy to use, I got an update when the driver was 15 mins away via text that included a link I could click to show the truck's location on a map. The guys who came were very capable and friendly. I had a 300 lb item that was very expensive and delicate moved and the guys treated it with great care, carefully padded it, and by the time they left they had my trust. I will use Schlep again for sure. Their website is easy to use, customer service via phone is helpful, and I did not have any problems. Great first experience. read more

The Schlep team is great. I had a fairly challenging Schlep - trouble with item fitting through the door and incredibly heavy. They did a great job of working through the situation, coming up with solutions and were incredibly patient. They got everything delivered in great shape and were awesome at walking through the situation. I will use them again. read more

It was my first time using Schlep and everything seem to work out well. The price for moving my item was reasonable and the process of setting up a Schlep account and communicating with the Schlep team went well to set up delivery. On the day of the move Schlep communicated their arrival time and also texted when they were about to arrive. The Schlep moving team Eddie and Mike did a great job. They moved my dresser quickly and carefully, they were super helpful and courteous. I will definitely use them again. Thanks! read more

Had a great experience with the Schlep team. We were moving a client from one floor of a senior living community to another and had 4 pieces of furniture to move. Raymond and Alexander were quick to help us with the necessary paperwork the facility required prior to moving the items. Sam and Richard helped us with the actual move and were very knowledgable in the best ways to maneuver the pieces to get through the doorway and made it look effortless. From scheduling to the end of the move, the Schlep team made our moving experience so much easier. We will definitely use their services again for future client moves! read more

I wanted to love shlep but ultimately it has left me feeling like s#@t. They went to pick up something for me from a consignment shop on July 26th. The scheduling and process were easy. Almost too good to be true, like ordering an uber. Pick up day. The first call I received was from the driver saying they couldn't find the location 2 minutes before the scheduled pick up time. The second call I received was approximately 22 minutes later letting me know that they broke the leg of the table they were picking up and were going to send me a picture of the table to help me understand what happened. Not admitting fault but somehow it magically fell off when it got on the truck. The owner of the store called the friend who referred me to the store to let her know what happened. All 4 legs were intact when they left the store. Roughly 30 minutes later the drivers show up. I had been in contact with Schlep in between to let them know what had happened and asked how would we resolve this process. They told me they would open an investigation... speak with their schleppers, contact the store owner and review the pictures that I took (before and after shots of the table). It got determined within a few hours that they were at fault. In the meantime Schlep immediately charged me for the delivery despite this still not being resolved. I then received an email from Andrew that said the following... Adrian - First, we apologize for this mishap. Next, we want to handle this in an expeditious fashion. Once culpability is determined - and it is confirmed that a Schlepper is at fault - our team works with you to fix any damages. As simple as that. We never leave a customer out in the wind. Per our policy, we will be working with you proceed on one of these routes forward: Send the details of damage to our repair network and schedule a time to repair the damage on site; or Partially refund the cost of this schlep to go toward the repair of damage/refurbishment of this piece on your own terms. Please let us know how you would like to proceed. Be certain that we are here to resolve this in the most expeditious fashion. Best, Andrew Schlep Operations This happened on 7/26 and to this very second and day this has not been resolved. I have called and responded to emails and have not had any one respond back to me. Considering this has gone on for 56 days, why would I trust them to have someone they recommend fix my table when they broke it to begin with and this is their way of being "expeditious". No thank you. I called my credit card company to dispute the charge because of what happened. Schlep feels like a crap shoot. I would look else where because shlepping is not about service, it's about dragging your things from one place to another. read more

We purchased furniture from a company that uses Schlep as their outsourced delivery company. Schlep does a great job of communicating when the furniture arrives in their warehouse, scheduling the delivery and showing up exactly when they say they will. The first time they came, one of the pieces of furniture was damaged (not Schlep's fault). The guys (Darrell?) were great about packing it back up and taking it back down the second floor stairway and loading it back on their truck (pleasant, professional, no grumbling.) Once Schlep calls to say they are on the way, you can track the truck via their app to see when they are getting close. I will hire Schlep directly next time I need something heavy moved or delivered. read more

This was so easy! And reasonably priced! They brought me a couch from the Lakeview Brown Elephant to my apartment in Uptown and for a nominal fee, ditched my old couch in the alley. Even if you are not tech savvy, they will walk you through the online form. So great to get a text telling me when they were on their way or had arrived and in the exact time frame I requested. So glad I thought to have tip money available as the service definitely warranted it. read more

Second time using them and I could not be happier!!!! They are life savers and so nice to work with. Prices are super fair and they brought me coffee and offered me a free ride back to my apartment after dropping off my things in storage. read more

I had a great experience using Schlep. I requested a Schlep on Saturday night and they were able to show up on Sunday. I received an email with a picture of the movers so I would know who to expect. The movers were kind and professional. I would highly recommend using Schlep! read more

I moved into a new little house a few months ago and didn't like how I had arranged the furniture. So yesterday, Jonathan, Raymond, and Randy came over and carefully and efficiently moved dressers, desks and chairs to and from the basement and garage! They were very pleasant and went the extra step for a senior woman living alone. I could never have done this myself or with friends. Will definitely tell people about them, and call next time I need something moved! read more

Schelp was awesome! They were on time and did everything I asked for. I had put in a request on my schlep order form requesting for my furniture to be wrapped. They came ready to go, wrapped everything I had asked for and also wrapped my mattress which I had forgotten on my original list. They also moved extra items I had forgotten on my list I had submitted. They were respectful and just plain old awesome! Highly recommend. read more

The guys were very nice and friendly and yet unprofessional. First of all it seems that the company and the movers had no communication between them. The night before the moving i sent pictures of my bed to make sure they come with the right tools ( the company asked me to do so). But the guys did not have the tool that works for the bed and had to rent it from my friend on site. They said they did not hear anything from the company. If my friend wasn't there we might not have been able to move that bed. Also they did not bring anything to protect the mattress. The mattress got dirt and wet during moving. They had like two small floor towers which itself was dirty. I recommend schlep for small furnitures or furnitures that are not high priced. But for my box spring and mattress that were over $2000 i would not have chosen the service even for its price. I am calling the mattress cleaning company which will cost me another $ 100. The mattress is full of dirt stain and is simply so dirty, not to mention it is wet!!! The movers were very nice as people, though. read more

I needed some furniture moved from the Southwest side to Evanston. Including an enormous 9x5foot oil painting. They were on time and a pleasure to deal with. I will absolutely use them again. read more
