He had a quote for me from the owner before even leaving. It was a fair price as well. They were able to get me on the schedule super fast. The whole experience was fast and great. The day of work, they showed up and got right to work. They managed to replace the roof and get the work done and cleaned up in about half a working day. I was also impressed at their speed and efficiency. The photos they shared of the roof (I didn't want to go up and look personally!) showed a very clean finish, and I am sure it will last for years to come. All of the work they did is guaranteed for many years, which also gave me good peace of mind. Please consider these guys for all your roofing needs. I know I will.

Sean called me early the next morning and was out to take a look the very next day. He explained where the leak was coming from and I never felt like he was trying to pull one over or find problems that weren't there. We scheduled the roof repair for three days later but inclement weather pushed us into early the next week. I can't say enough about the guys who came out to do the job - it was a really lousy winter day and they were professional, friendly, and incredibly hard workers. While I can't speak yet to how it's holding up as it was just done, everything has been holding up so far and I feel confident in Sean and the work. Highly recommend.

When we were choosing a contractor, Mr. Contractor's Yelp rating gave me some hesitation - especially given the high ratings elsewhere. But when I read the reviews themselves rather than just looking at the overall rating, many of the complaints seemed to involve relatively small jobs. We needed someone for a large, complicated renovation of a very old house, and the experience and capabilities Ken demonstrated seemed much better suited to that kind of project. Having now completed the job, I'm very glad we made that distinction. This was a big project, and our old house threw plenty of surprises at us. Once the demo began, our engineer found that part of the kitchen needed to be structurally rebuilt from the foundation up. That meant coordinating with our architect and structural engineer and substantially expanded the work. Despite that and the many twists and turns that followed, Ken and his crew kept things moving and completed an extraordinary amount of work in just 10 weeks. What really stood out was the crew. These guys were craftsmen who took genuine pride in what they were building. More than once, they spent extra time on something simply to get the finished result just right or recommended enhancements that were not charged. A friend who is a high-end interior designer saw the kitchen afterward and was impressed by the quality of the construction and attention to detail. We also lived in the house throughout the renovation. The crew was friendly and respectful, and they cleaned up the work areas at the end of every day -- something we came to appreciate enormously during 10 weeks of construction. Was every little detail perfect the first time? No. But that's actually part of why I'm comfortable giving Ken five stars. When something wasn't right, he worked to make it right. He and his team stayed engaged through the end of the project, addressed our punch-list items, and have continued to stand behind their work afterward. And we LOVE the result. The kitchen has completely changed the way we live in the house. It has become the place where our family naturally gathers, and it's as comfortable and functional to cook in as it is beautiful. The new bathroom has been equally transformative. At the beginning, I worried that we might be spending too much on the project - and it was significant. But by the end, having seen the amount of work involved and the quality and care that went into it, I felt exactly the opposite: we received very good value for our money. My takeaway is that Ken's particular strength is a substantial, complex project where you need an experienced GC who can keep multiple trades moving, deal with unexpected conditions, solve problems as they arise, and see the whole thing through. Renovating a 130-year-old house isn't easy, and I'd much rather have a contractor who knows how to deal with the inevitable problems and stands behind the finished product. We'd happily hire Ken and Mr. Contractor again.

Understanding December is any chimney sweep's 'busy' season, I called at the beginning of the month to get pricing and to make an appointment to both clean my chimney & inspect it for repairs (including fixing the damper/flue). I chose Paul because he is one of the few in south jersey that's a member of the National & NJ Chimney Sweep Guilds, with all the appropriate licensing. Without any pricing listed on his website, I had to call for this information. I spoke to Paul directly who informed me for a chimney cleaning (including vacuuming, using drop cloths, brushing the whole fireplace, etc.) is $160. If my Flue/Damper just needs repair it would cost btwn $100/$150, but if it needed replacing it would cost btwn $350/$450. Sounded ok to me. I had recently purchased my home, and never having had a fireplace before, had nothing to compare these prices to. I'm assuming their pricing is standard considering all his memberships/licensing. On the call, Paul instructed me he had an opening for just a few weeks away and scheduled me in. He stated he would reach out to me the week before the appointment to confirm & to obtain my address. Well, that week before my 'appointment' is this week, and I hadn't heard from him, so I called myself. The woman I spoke to advised they do not have my appointment scheduled, and after confirming with Paul himself, stated that I must've 'called another company & am confused', and they don't have any open availability for another month. Unfortunately this is the only company I had looked up, and reached out to, so there's no way I was confused. I'm really disappointed in the unprofessional manner in which my appointment, or lack there of, was handled, especially since this is really one of the few chimney sweeping companies I had wanted to use. I would like to still give them an opportunity to change my opinion, if I can actually obtain and they can keep the appointment. Advice: If you decide to use them, double & triple confirm your appointment with them ahead of time; or just make sure it actually gets written down in their scheduling 'book'.

And that I have a "B" vent which goes up through the roof. His prices are reasonable and with his 20 years of experience I feel quite comfortable with his performance. I hired Munz Roofing and Siding to complete a siding project, and I could not be happier with the entire experience. From the start, their consultant, Stephen M., came out and provided helpful education, a thorough walkthrough, zero pressure, and a timely quote for several different product options. Munz ultimately provided the best quote among the three local companies that came out. Eric G., their general manager, also came out to review the plan and clearly outlined the steps they would take to protect our garden beds during the siding removal and installation. That level of communication and attention to detail gave us a lot of confidence going into the project. Project Manager Chris and installer Oleg then completed the project in 9.5 days, which was even half a day ahead of their original 10-day estimate. Chris checked in every day to see if we had any questions or concerns, and Oleg's work was outstanding. His craftsmanship and attention to detail were top notch, and he spent at least a half hour cleaning up every day before leaving. One thing that really stood out was that Oleg took the time to point out how well the previous siding job had been done when the house was built about 40 years ago. He noted that the original wrapping had been applied with meticulous precision, which helped explain why there was minimal water damage to the existing boards. That honesty was appreciated, especially because there was never a moment where the crew attempted to upsell us on unnecessary work. Overall, Munz was professional, honest, communicative, and highly skilled from start to finish. I could not recommend this company enough. Five stars, and if you can, request Chris and Oleg by name as your crew.
