Dr. Taylor is hands down the best neurosurgeon i've ever met. The amount knowledge and compassion…read moreshe has for her patients and her staff is something that no one can compare to. Dr. Taylor is honest and fair and doesn't waste anyones time. I was very fortunate to work with Dr. Taylor and I can say first hand she is an amazing person with great work ethics. If you are in need of a Neurosurgeon I would without a doubt go to her!

Once she was released from the hospital and was in an acute rehab facility, we went to see her after her most recent CT scan. We literally spent maybe 10 minutes in her office. She was curt and does not have the best chair side manner. I would ask questions in behalf of my mother and she was not very forthcoming of any information with regard to why my mother fell. She just kept repeating " there is no more bleeding and no more swelling in the brain " . " We're good" ... When we would ask questions about weakness in her lower extremities and unsteady gait she had no answers. When I asked about what we could do about finding the appropriate SSRI for her that might work better than what she was on now she skirted out of this by saying " not my department sorry" .. she barely wrote any Physician's notes for the Rehab facility. I felt it was a complete waist of time and my Mother's time. The Medical Assistant was very friendly and knowledgeable maybe she should become a Neurologist and trade places with her. We will be going back to her original Neurologist. I would give this Physician zero stars if I could.

She did insist on repeating the cognitive exam , even though he'd already failed to get above 12 on 3 prior tests and had a long hx with JMH of low scores (she gets xtra compensation for giving these exams ). Not so much as a baby aspirin was prescribed. No therapies , procedures or alternatives were provided ! The worst care possible and irresponsible healthcare IMO. Then we get a certified letter from the doctors at EBN today warning us they will not provide any care or service after April 30, 2026. What care ? What service ? All you did was say 'there is nothing I can do '. But you kept dragging us down to San Ramon to collect your copays and your paycheck from our visits . I sent a email cursing you out. So you threaten me with cutting him off? That's a blessing , not a curse you worthless pos! ! Avoid them at all costs ! The worst part! I thought she was an actual provider. When my husband required a backyard ADU with handicap access , we couldn't get the loan without 2 provider letters stating he was unable to manage his legal, financial and medical affairs . She doesn't have any legal authority to write letters ! None! We wasted 3 yrs with this inadequate provider with no licensure to issue statements of fact on my husbands medical condition! Complete and utter irresponsibility and misrepresented her authority from the beginning. We thought she had licensure. Avoid them at all costs

5 Stars - Truly Exceptional Care!…read more I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Chagnon and Office Manager, Lisa at Sonoma Pain Management Neurology! After years of struggling with chronic pain, multiple spinal surgeries, and searching for answers, finding Dr. Chagnon has truly been a blessing. For the first time in a very long time, I feel genuinely heard, understood, and taken seriously. Dr. Chagnon takes the time to listen, thoroughly evaluate my concerns, and look beyond simply treating symptoms. She has helped me better understand what I've been experiencing for years, and that validation alone has meant more to me than I can express. Lisa is equally wonderful! She is kind, responsive, professional, and incredibly helpful. Whether it's answering questions, coordinating paperwork, or assisting with medical documentation, she consistently goes above and beyond to make things easier. What makes this practice so special is that you're not treated like just another patient or a number. There is genuine compassion, patience, and a personal touch that can be difficult to find in healthcare today. Living with chronic pain is challenging enough, but having a doctor who truly listens and an office that makes you feel supported makes an enormous difference. Now, I have to admit something a little funny about myself. When I find someone truly exceptional, whether it's my hairdresser, my nail technician, or anyone else who makes my life easier, I'm usually a little selfish about sharing them! I'm always afraid they'll become so popular and busy that I won't be able to get an appointment myself! But Dr. Chagnon is the exception. I want to shout their praises from the rooftops! Anyone who has lived with relentless chronic pain understands that it affects so much more than just your body. It can wear you down emotionally, steal your joy, and sometimes take you to some very dark places. When you've spent years hurting, searching for answers, and wondering whether anyone truly understands what you're going through, finding the right doctor can be life-changing. Dr. Chagnon has helped lift some of that emotional weight from my shoulders. She hasn't magically erased my pain, but she has given me something just as meaningful: answers, understanding, validation, and renewed hope. And when you're living with chronic pain, those things are absolutely priceless. I am incredibly grateful to have found Dr. Chagnon, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for knowledgeable, compassionate, and attentive neurological pain care. Thank you both for making such a meaningful difference in my life!

5 Stars for Dr Newkirk! He is a world-class pioneer in the specialty of dealing with Thoracic…read moreOutlet Syndrome (and for me, more specifically, Neurontic Thoracic Outlet Syndrome). After 15 years of chronic pain problems I eventually managed to find some of the very best specialists available for my problem, and 4 out of 4 referred me to Dr Newkirk, separately of each other. My 5-star, cure-pioneering TOS surgeon, overall hand/arm RSI expert doctor, top-notch Physical Therapist and my TOS MRI specialist all recommended Dr Newkirk to me as the best of the best. My surgeon and my Physical Therapist in particular said I absolutely had to get a posture vest from Dr Newkirk, explicitly saying that only his, in all the world, has solve the issue of getting backward rotation of the shoulders without putting pressure on the clavicle (or something close to that explanation). They both said all other posture-correcting medical garments/devices pale in comparison and it is worth whatever time and money it takes to get one, as it could help me heal completely and be out of pain for good. Dr Newkirk always takes as much time as needed with me on any given visit. He always remembers me and my case details, and always conveys his genuine compassion and concern for my well-being and for having been in chronic pain so long. He is extremely invested in getting me cured, for good, of my pain problems through long term posture changes and other means. I can't say enough good things about Dr Newkirk. NOTE: Like other reviewers I would give his staff fewer stars if I could review them separately. However, I happen to know that he shares an office with other practitioners, it would be very troublesome to relocate, and so that's basically out of his control at this point. His staff means well, but they are a bit behind the times technology-wise and could probably use another person at this point. On the plus side, they handle all the insurance stuff easily (for me and my Anthem insurance, anyway). My recommendations: * try to get the earliest appointment available--Dr Newkirk will take extra time with a patient if they need it, and will let himself fall behind schedule if that means giving the best possible care he can, so the earlier your appointment the lower the chance of that happening * arrive early -- sometimes he is done early with a patient, and if you're there and available you can slip in ahead of your time slot * be patient (hey, that is why we are called the 'patient', right? -- bring a book or your mobile device or whatever to amuse yourself * leave time after the appointment in case things run late
