I apologized to his receptionist and she scheduled me another appointment. A few days later she calls to tell me there would be a $25 cancellation fee before I could come in again. I told her I am on Disability and it's very low income and I really can't afford the $25 and could they waive it this time? She said that Dr Butler said 'No'! Wow! I'm in shock that a doctor is THIS greedy and non-compassionate! $25 to a physician is peanuts. To me, it means either gas or food for a week! And by his photo it doesn't look like he's had to miss any meals. Jerk.

I made the visit, and thankfully Dr. Lavin relieved my pain, removing a good section of the nail under anesthesia (local). His concern for my comfort both during adminstration of the needles for anesthesia and during the procedure itself was commendable. A good old-school type of doctor....experienced, but relatively young. I trust him..!
