But in the meantime, he could get rid of the bunion by cutting it off right in the office. When I put my shoe back on the difference was immeasurable I could walk again without pain and it was amazing, he was very gentle when he was slicing the skin off my foot I didn't even feel it. I found Dr. Swineford after having an awful experience with another local Dr. after a Cheilectomy…read moresurgery. Dr. Swineford's office was a kind enough to take me on as a patient even though I was in post op from another office and I couldn't be more grateful because I was seriously thinking of taking my own stitches out if the previous Dr was my only choice. Immediately upon arriving I noticed a huge difference in atmosphere of the office, the front office staff and medical assistant were pleasant and welcoming. Dr. Swineford himself was accepting and kind. I especially liked that fact that he was very willing to share his knowledge and gave me detailed explanation of things, I learned more about the surgery and recovery in one post op appointment with Dr. Swineford than I did the whole time with the other. I highly recommend Dr. Swineford to anyone in need of his services if you want someone truly knowledgable with a good bedside manner.

After the six weeks he removed the pin in my second toe. I thought everything was good until about a week later during another appointment. I noticed my second toe was leaning over to the left( like a peace sign . I asked dr Swineford why this was happening and he told me that my foot was still swollen and it could take up to a year to come down, I believed him , he is a doctor. So on the next appointment it was no better and it was starting to hurt so again I asked him and he told me that he was sorry I was not happy with the outcome of the surgery and that Shit Happens! I was shocked by that comment and thank God my husband was with me because if I told him that when I got home he wouldn't have believed me. To make a long story short I went to another doctor and another surgery and I was told that the first doctor cut the tendon on my second toe and that's why it was moving over like it was. I had to go to a foot specialist to fix the toe and its still not right. I tried to sue dr. Swineford but no one would touch my case. I trusted Dr. Swineford and he failed. Please if anyone is thinking of going to Franklin Foot Care DON'T. He ruined my life .
