Colorful, maximalist, and funky! I was greeted instantly by the bartender and we talked about the inspiration of the place, and how the sound system was right on for the theme. Let's hope they can get that vinyl system working with the digital monitors... that's always a tedious process! The food though, it brought it home. I got a to-go order and brought it home to my buddy who'd been working all morning. He took a bite and his eyes lit up man. I Love to see one of my guys visibly love good food. He got the fried chicken pozo while I got the meatball sub... once again. Bangers. This place has flavor. Aesthetically, and literally!! Go here. Go here. Go here.

I went out on a limb and got the mortadella one (I haven't tried mortadella in a long time if ever) and it was so tasty! It was balanced nicely with the bursars, pistachios, some greens and a nice little sauce all on top of a delicious little flatbread. I got some fries on the side with a goat cheese aioli that I'm still thinking about. The vacay please was a tasty little drink, very refreshing and light! I sat at the bar and even on a Monday night they seemed to be pretty busy. My server was great though and got me all my food and drinks in pretty quick!

Mind you, the restaurant was basically empty....maybe 4 tables the entire time we were there. On a Kstate game day no less. We very obviously did NOT need a reservation. ‍ Then, we got a snarky attitude from our server for asking for a side of simple syrup for my DIL's unsweetened tea. WTH??!? He had previously been super nice up until that point. He snarkily informed me that he could do that but there would be a charge. Whatever. It was 50 cents for an ounce of sugar water. Anyway, the food was "okay", nothing to write home about. My DIL did really like her burger and our deviled eggs appetizer was great. Something really weird was my scrambled eggs had tiny bits of sausage scrambled into them. I did not like them at all and nowhere on the menu does it indicate there will be sausage in the scrambled eggs. I definitely would not return and do not recommend. Not a very pleasant experience.

While I know Alfredo is not Italian, it is my fav dish of theirs and the plate sizes are massive. They also have great sized garlic rolls and their stuffed mushrooms are absolutely amazing. The only thing I will warn is while their pizza is handmade and amazing, it only comes in one size an is only enough for one person. Service is top tier as well, very friendly staff and they have plenty of patience for children. The ambiance is calm and relaxed with an open floor plan, the ONLY thing I don't like is when you walk in, it kind of smells like old mop water so don't know what kind of cleaner they use but they need to switch that up lol Otherwise it is extremely clean and well kept with no dust built up and their silverware is always spotless

I brought my wife to try this Manhattan treasure 30 years later and it's still amazing. Wonderful biscuits and gravy. We were absolutely delighted with the delicious food and wonderful customer service. I'm glad to see this incredible place still thriving. It's a 1/1 location. Not a chain. I'm good with that. We had a great time a med group of 6. It's hard to get kids together anymore. We sat at a nice long high top table. Thin and long. I thought it was perfect.
