The staff attitudes/friendliness vary wildly from overly giddy to aloof to downright confrontational. After a few visits, we were sent an invitation to do an online survey, which I filled out. I graded them poorly in one area because I think it is odd/ridiculous that a service provider would only schedule followup appointments between 9 and noon, which is a time that 95% of their clients (kids) are unavailable (in school). I'm aware of many orthos in other areas that have early morning/evening/weekend appts, for these visits, which is much more customer friendly. A few days after the survey, we started getting calls from the office. Each time, we were not available to take the call. This led to a phone-tag thing that over a few weeks consisted of 10 calls. Since they don't have voicemail at the office, I asked someone to take a message. They refused. So I asked for an email address. They refused. So then I posted a note on their Facebook page, asking them to kindly stop calling. The calls ended. A few weeks later, my wife took the kid in for an adjustment. My wife was asked to come back to the treatment area, which was unusual. Once in the room with our daughter, one of their staffers verbally attacked my wife. "What's the deal with you posting on Facebook?!? " Etc. My wife was shocked and totally unaware of anything, since I had handled the survey and subsequent phone calls. Especially concerning was the fact that our daughter was in the room and completely embarrassed. After composing herself, my wife stopped the staffer's rant, returned to the front desk and asked to see the manager. Once sitting down with the practice manager, my wife explained the situation. The manager apologized profusely and said the staffer was inappropriate and would be reprimanded. The problem here is that with braces, you can't really just change providers mid-stream. So we are forced to maintain a relationship with this office, even though we all cringe at the thought of visiting this facility. My wife now refuses to step foot in the place. This week, we had a return visit for another adjustment. No problems this time.

When visiting the office, I felt like the front desk staff knew me by name and made my time there worthwhile. In addition, Dr. G would take the time to see me at every visit and talk me through the progress at every step. It's worth it to do your research when investing in something like orthodontics, but when you do, you'll realize that Grubaugh Ortho is worth all the hype! After 2 week trial I was experiencing significant discomfort and needed to discontinue treatment. Dr. Carlin insulted me by saying "hundreds of thousands" have used Invisalign and you seem to be the only one who has pain.". Perhaps he should read a few peer reviewed studies. I wanted to leave then but Dr. Carlin and his assistant blocked me in until I forced my way around them. Dr. Carlin said they would only charge me a lab fee, but he kept my $1600! And he kept my Invisaligns, AND he billed my insurance.

Instead, they make you sign a void document, right when you are sitting in the dental bench 3) They have 100% unexperienced dental assistants 4) they do the fillings in a way that you cannot floss, so you will have to return several times, and they will keep doing things wrong They sustain, because they make you sign a disclaimer, they can do wherever they want to short cut the work, while charging high costs
